The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Overwhelming Crush

”What kind of dog of a son did you raise? It’s disgraceful! Absolute lunacy! He was fooling around with the widow in your village, and when my son caught him, he broke my son’s arms and legs! It’s a crime against heaven!”

Zhang Fu trembled all over, completely unable to defend himself. If nothing had happened, there was no way the other party would carry up a Li Bing with broken limbs to their door. Plus, there were over a dozen guys glaring at them aggressively...

Uncle Xi offered a cigarette to smooth things over. ”Dahai, my friend, there must be a misunderstanding! I watched Zhang Yun grow up; he’s not that kind of...”

”Misunderstanding my ass! Aren’t you ashamed that your Tianxin Village produced such a person?” Li Bing’s father, Li Dahai, didn’t take the cigarette. Instead, he kept pointing at Zhang Fu’s nose and cursed, ”I heard your wife died early? Does this son of a bitch lack a mother to raise him and a father to teach him?”

Zhang Yun had originally wanted to reason things out clearly in front of everyone. But the moment he walked in, he saw his old man getting chewed out mercilessly, and even his late mother was being insulted. He instantly flew into a rage!

”Where did this old geezer come from? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree; a thug of a son comes from a thug of a father!”

Zhang Yun’s explosive shout drew everyone’s eyes toward him.

On the stretcher, Li Bing frantically tugged at the pant leg of the guy next to him and yelled, ”You guys, protect me! The rest of you, block the door! Don’t let him get away!”

There were thirteen young men in total. They must have planned this out in advance, as they immediately split up: seven stood in front of Li Bing to protect him, while the other six moved back to block the courtyard gate.

Seeing Zhang Yun return, Zhang Fu and Uncle Xi both frowned in anxiety. Young people were too impulsive! Li Bing had brought over a dozen guys. And weren’t those words just now adding fuel to the fire?

Li Dahai was already acting aggressively. Hearing ”old geezer” and ”thug of a father,” he grew even more furious. He took off one of his shoes and hurled it at Zhang Yun. ”I’ll beat you to death, you demented animal!

”I don’t care if your village’s illicit affairs are depraved and shameless, but you broke my son’s limbs! You’re paying me one hundred and eighty thousand in medical bills! If you don’t pay up, Li Bing will stay at your house for you to take care of! You’ll be waiting on him hand and foot!”

Regarding Li Dahai’s accusation of ”fooling around,” Zhang Fu, Uncle Xi, and the other villagers hadn’t defended themselves. There was no way to prove his innocence, yet Li Bing’s injuries were right in front of them. Now that Zhang Yun was back, they could only wait for his explanation.

Zhang Yun did not explain!

He caught the shoe thrown at his face, stepped forward, and slapped the sole directly across Li Dahai’s face!

”Fooling around! One hundred and eighty thousand! You old thug, you think extorting people is glorious, huh?”

Zhang Yun cursed as he smacked him. He controlled his strength so as not to knock the man unconscious, but he still managed to swell up Li Dahai’s cheeks!

Li Bing snapped back to his senses and slapped the stretcher, screaming, ”Are you guys dead? Beat him up! I’ll pay you extra! If you kill him, it’s on me!”

The seven young men guarding him immediately rushed forward and surrounded Zhang Yun.

”Don’t hit him!” Zhang Fu hurriedly stepped forward to protect his son.

Fearing Zhang Fu would get hurt, Uncle Xi quickly pulled him back. ”Hey! Don’t you mess around! If we’re talking numbers, we can easily call over dozens or hundreds of people!”

However, the courtyard gate was blocked. The villagers outside couldn’t see the situation clearly. Let alone rushing in, there weren’t even any voices of support. Meanwhile, Zhang Yun was instantly surrounded and attacked!

”I’ll fight you to the death!” Zhang Fu’s eyes turned red. Trembling, he broke free from Uncle Xi and rushed to the wall to grab a hoe.

Uncle Xi jumped in fright; this was truly putting one’s life on the line! A blow to the head with a hoe could kill someone instantly... He had just stepped forward to stop Zhang Fu when he suddenly heard a chorus of agonizing screams.

Looking closely, both men were stunned!

In just those few seconds, the seven people who had attacked Zhang Yun were all lying on the ground!

Zhang Yun had consumed two more petals and soaked in the fish pond for an entire afternoon. Not only had his overall strength doubled again, but he had also figured out how to control his power.

When he was surrounded by the seven men just now, he didn’t even need to aim. Any random punch would land. With his current strength, anyone who took a punch would drop straight to the floor!

Zhang Yun looked around and sneered. ”You hooligans only know how to bully honest people! Today, I’ll rid this village of its pests!”

If these were young men from Wa Village who had been deceived, he might have held back to avoid a feud between the two villages. But since Li Bing had offered ”extra pay,” he wasn’t going to be polite.

As he spoke, Zhang Yun delivered a massive kick!

The seven young men on the ground hadn’t even had time to scramble to their feet before they were kicked skidding across the dirt like rolling balls!

Zhang Yun aimed every single kick in one direction—Li Bing! Li Bing was knocked off his stretcher onto the ground, and then repeatedly slammed all the way to the base of the wall.

The men wailed in agony after being kicked, but Li Bing had broken limbs! He didn’t have casts; the simple splints burst open instantly. The fractures displaced once more, and the excruciating pain of the secondary injury made him let out a bloodcurdling shriek before he passed out entirely!

Not a single person in the courtyard made a sound. Everyone was dumbfounded!

The villagers outside were very anxious. Hearing the waves of screams, it was obvious a fight had broken out. Logically, it should be Zhang Yun getting beaten up, but it didn’t sound like it...

Zhang Yun pointed his finger at the six people by the courtyard gate!

Those six were already panicking. Seeing him point at them, one of them, terrified of being beaten, blurted out, ”I don’t know anything! I just carried the stretcher...”

The others quickly chimed in, ”Yeah, yeah! We were just stretcher-bearers! We don’t know Li Bing! We didn’t lift a finger, and we didn’t curse anyone!”

Seven guys weren’t enough for him to beat up. Who would want to step up and catch a beating?

Li Dahai picked up his shoe, preparing to go up and slap Zhang Yun in the face for revenge once he was pinned down. Instead, Zhang Yun single-handedly ”ganged up on” seven people... For a moment, he didn’t know what to do.

Seeing that Li Bing had fainted, Zhang Yun walked over to Li Dahai.

”D-don’t come over here...” Li Dahai trembled nervously. Seeing that the six men couldn’t be counted on either, he immediately plopped down on his butt!

”Murder! Help! You Tianxin Village people are bullying us! Just beat both me and my son to death!” Li Dahai wailed, slapping the ground with his shoe.

Seeing that Zhang Yun was letting them go, the six men didn’t dare block the door anymore, nor did they dare run away. They just went over to help up those who had fallen.

Many of the onlooking villagers squeezed in through the courtyard gate. Seeing the situation inside, they were all incredibly surprised!

This wasn’t right. Shouldn’t Zhang Yun and Zhang Fu be the ones getting beaten up?

Li Dahai had brought a dozen people and acted so aggressively. How did it look like he was the one being mercilessly bullied?

Zhang Yun stepped on Li Dahai’s head, pinning him to the dirt!

”Beat me to death if you have the guts!” Li Dahai was still talking tough.

Zhang Yun sneered. ”Do I need to pick a lucky day to beat an old thug like you to death?”

He shifted his foot and stepped on Li Dahai’s throat, carefully controlling his strength so as not to actually crush his neck.

Feeling like he was about to suffocate, Li Dahai’s soul nearly left his body. He quickly coughed and changed his tune, ”This... has nothing to do with me... This is between you and Li Bing... You broke his arms and legs, just pay eighteen thousand for medical bills...”

Hearing this, everyone knew he had chickened out! Just a moment ago, he was yelling that if they didn’t pay one hundred and eighty thousand, he’d dump Li Bing there. Now it had turned into a negotiation for eighteen thousand.

Zhang Yun looked down at him. ”Do you want me to burn ten billion in hell money for you?”

Li Dahai’s face looked extremely ugly. Afraid his windpipe would be crushed, he didn’t dare talk back, and could only lower his head further. ”Since we’re already here, and there are so many people, just give a little something...”

Zhang Yun stomped his foot on his stomach. ”You old thug, you brought people to my door to spread rumors, cause trouble, and insult my dad. The fact that I didn’t beat you to death shows how good my temper is! I wouldn’t even give a cent to a beggar, let alone you!”

Li Dahai gagged and almost threw up. He didn’t dare haggle anymore.

”Listen closely, everyone!” Zhang Yun took out his phone, turned up the volume, tapped on a file, and started playing it.

”How many of my fish did you steal?”

”Don’t do anything crazy! Not... not that many. The fish were too small. The few times I scooped them up didn’t even sell for a thousand bucks altogether... I lost all the fish money gambling ages ago. I don’t have money to pay you back. You might as well stab me to death! My worthless life is all I have!”

Listening to the conversation between Zhang Yun and Li Bing, the cause and effect were obvious. Everyone could now righteously support Zhang Yun.

”Bah! A thug is a thug! You got beaten up for stealing fish, and you still played the victim by making up rumors about Zhang Yun!”

”This is a whole family of hooligans! It’s disgraceful, and they actually have the nerve to come to our village and yell!”

”You’ve lived to this old age only to act worse than a dog! If Zhang Yun didn’t have some skills, wouldn’t he have been framed by these shameless people?”

Feeling the disdain from all around him, Li Dahai couldn’t open his mouth again.

Those six young men helped the other seven up and got Li Bing back onto the stretcher. Li Bing had just woken up, and upon hearing the recording, he almost spat out a mouthful of blood!

He thought, ”Fuck, I didn’t get to take photos, but you secretly recorded me! Who’s the real thug here?!”

However, since a whole group of them wasn’t enough for Zhang Yun to beat, Li Bing wasn’t about to court death. He closed his eyes and pretended to be unconscious.

”M-misunderstanding... Let’s go!” Li Dahai called out awkwardly.

But Zhang Yun kept his foot on him, showing no intention of letting him leave!
