Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chen Jie listened to these words and looked at Wang Baobao, who nodded lightly.

”However, at present we are already wanted by the court, my brother’s ten thousand White Deer Army is now stationed at Jiujiang Prefecture. The Magistrate of Jiujiang Prefecture is the father of my brother’s concubine, so they have not yet surrendered to the court and accepted recruitment.”

”We will temporarily establish ourselves there.”

Zhao Ya said to Chen Jie. Chen Jie, after hearing these words, thought about it and looked at her and said, ”This is strange; the Prince has been operating in Jiangnan for such a long time. How could the court’s people easily seize power? It’s unreasonable.”

Zhao Ya, hearing this, gritted her teeth and said, ”It’s all because of Sharlu!”

Sharlu?

Chen Jie remained expressionless. Sharlu is the eldest son of the Ruyang King and currently the Princely Heir of the Ruyang Royal Mansion.

”What happened to him?”

Zhao Ya took a deep breath and said, ”Sharlu betrayed Father. He actually colluded with the Qincha Eight Guards, who used his reputation and then announced that my father wouldn’t return to the Capital. This caused panic in the eighty-one prefectures of the Jiangnan Five Roads, and the court even declared that Sharlu would inherit the throne and manage Jiangnan.”

”But doesn’t he realize that even if the Qincha Eight Guards take over, can he still control the eighty-one prefectures of the Jiangnan Five Roads in the future? This foolish guy has become a pawn in the court’s hand without realizing it, truly foolish, utterly foolish!”

Zhao Ya exclaimed with anger. She was truly angered by her brother’s stupidity, selling out the Prince Mansion for a nominal position as King of Jiangnan and collaborating with the Qincha Eight Guards.

And the court used the Ruyang King’s inability to return, and Sharlu inheriting the throne, then used Sharlu’s name to reclaim Jiangnan.

In this way, it became justified, and those who once served the Ruyang King immediately defected to Sharlu.

After all, Sharlu was personally appointed as the Princely Heir by the Ruyang King, meaning that if something happened to the Ruyang King, he was to inherit the throne. This was a matter of course, and these people defecting to Sharlu did not count as betrayal.

On the contrary, it’s Wang Baobao who resisted stubbornly, leading a White Deer Army to rebel, directly being labeled as rebels by the court and Sharlu!

The entire Jiangnan Five Roads Eighty-One Prefectures are hunting him down, truly tragic!

After hearing Zhao Ya’s words, Chen Jie squinted slightly and said, ”Good strategy; first control the Prince, then turn the Princely Heir, and furthermore, send the Emperor’s Guards to take over the Jiangnan Five Roads Eighty-One Prefectures.”

”If the Prince can’t return, then the Princely Heir is the Prince’s legal heir. Although Kuo Kuo is also valued by the Prince, he doesn’t have inheritance rights according to the law. Moreover, the court sent the Emperor’s Guards and Qincha Eight Guards to take over; Qincha Eight Guards represent the Emperor outside, plus the first legal heir Princely Heir, Sharlu, stands with them.”

”At this time, if the Jiangnan Five Roads Eighty-One Prefectures, including the White Deer Army, don’t stand with them, then they are rebelling, which carries considerable political risk. As long as they’re not foolish, they absolutely won’t let such things happen!”

Chen Jie analyzed.

The current situation is somewhat similar to the Qin Dynasty’s end; Huhai corresponds to the Princely Heir, Wang Baobao corresponds to Fu Su.

Fu Su is reputed outside; everyone knows he might be the next King Qin, but it’s useless. Huhai controls the discourse, has Li Si and Zhao Gao’s help, three people cause a tiger out of thin air, altering orders, even if everyone knows Fu Su is a worthy name, destined to be the next King Qin, what use is it?

It’s useless.

People must be constrained by righteousness and moral bounds; having a justified cause is very important.

Much like Wang Baobao now, even if everyone knows the Ruyang King values him and has the intention to let him inherit the throne, ultimately no order has been issued.

And now Sharlu has the backing of the court, as well as the identity of Princely Heir, making it so the officials and troops of the Jiangnan Five Roads Eighty-One Prefectures come to attend. Who dares not go?

Not going means rebelling against the court, and who can bear such a great crime of rebelling against the court!

Understanding this, Chen Jie can’t help but marvel at the strategist’s brilliance, leveraging the momentum, controlling the Ruyang King, then using a swallowing momentum to directly reclaim the Five Roads Eighty-One Prefectures, leaving them no time to react.

The first reaction of people is certainly to follow blindly; once they reach Longxing Prefecture, then the remaining matters are beyond their control, and they will unwittingly follow the court’s work.

Someone may wonder, doesn’t Sharlu realize the court is using him to weaken Jiangnan’s power?

Moreover, the Ruyang King, Sharlu’s own father, is detained by the court, doesn’t Sharlu plan to rescue him?

The answer is negative; Sharlu will not rescue him.

Sharlu is the Princely Heir but has never truly gained the Ruyang King’s acknowledgment, nor granted any rights to him, and during this process, the Ruyang King also intentionally supports Wang Baobao.

There’s even rumors that Wang Baobao will become King of Jiangnan, the heir of the throne, how absurd it is, what identity does Wang Baobao have, and he’s not from the Chahan family.

How can an adopted son inherit the throne, what right does he have?

Simply unfathomable, Sharlu even protested to Father, but what did Father say, if Sharlu had one-tenth of Wang Baobao’s ability, he wouldn’t think of letting Wang Baobao inherit Jiangnan.

To put it bluntly, he still looks down on Sharlu, unwilling to pass the throne to him, instead, he wants to pass it to Wang Baobao.

How can Sharlu agree to this, but the Ruyang King is powerful, though the two are father and son, they are more like monarch and minister.
