Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Listening to Tuotuo’s words, Boluo said, ”Then these Vassal Kings will just be pigs and dogs raised by the court?”

Tuotuo replied, ”No, noble pigs and dogs!”

”They can enjoy wealth and prosperity, enjoy the feeling of being second to none, wield power and authority, yet just can’t control the military or govern the people.”

Boluo said, ”You truly have played a great game, but doing so shakes the entire court’s nobles’ faction, your path is tough to walk!”

Tuotuo hearing this said, ”A tough path, I already knew, but someone has to walk it. We can’t just watch as the dynasty we Mulan people established is overthrown by the Han people again.”

”Are we to be driven to the Northern Desert to accompany the yellow sands again?”

”If we don’t change, we’ll perish!”

Tuotuo directly spoke, Boluo clasped his hands upon hearing, ”Prime Minister, what righteous bearing, but in doing so, have you considered the backlash preparation?”

Tuotuo said, ”Of course, historically those who change face retaliations, but life and death I have already put aside. If I win this time, Daqian will be extended by two hundred years; if I lose, then it’s the Heavenly Mandate that I can accept!”

Upon hearing Tuotuo’s words, Boluo fell silent, then said after a while, ”What do you need me to help with?”

Tuotuo said, ”No need, you’re a soldier, some things are not for you to meddle in. If you do, it will change the essence of things, so just do the tasks the Emperor has given you.”

Boluo sighed upon hearing this, ”Hmm, I understand.”

After saying this, Boluo Timur looked at Tuotuo and said, ”Ruyang King is settled, but who will control the Jiangnan military power? If entrusted to the wrong person, Jiangnan too might not be peaceful.”

Speaking this, Tuotuo said, ”I’ve already sent flying pigeon messages, several disciples of Living Buddha Basiba have all entered the Jiangnan territory, now holding Holy Decrees, they will immediately take over Jiangnan military powers as soon as Ruyang King enters the Capital.”

Boluo Timur asked, ”Qincha Eight Guards?”

”Those few indeed are capable, but Jiangnan needs a strong figure to hold the fort, at least not weaker than Cha Han.”

Tuotuo said, ”Of course, without someone like a Stabilizing Needle, Jiangnan wouldn’t be held securely.”

”So who do you choose?”

Boluo asked.

Tuotuo said, ”I already mentioned, State Preceptor’s disciple.”

Boluo was taken aback and said, ”You wouldn’t mean Dharma Ba!”

Tuotuo said, ”Yes, it’s Dharma Ba!”

Upon hearing, Boluo stroked his chin and said, ”Dharma Ba, indeed a good choice.”

Dharma Ba, the direct disciple of Living Buddha Basiba, the Senior Brother of Qincha Eight Guards, a devout Buddhist, though carrying the title of Qincha Eight Guards, he never fulfilled the duties of Qincha Eight Guards, which is to protect the Emperor.

Instead, he has always been by Living Buddha Basiba’s side, the only disciple following Basiba to undergo arduous training, his power is terribly formidable too.

Despite never appearing officially in Jianghu, his power certainly doesn’t fall behind the Ruyang King, even stronger.

However, he rarely strikes, those knowing his power are just a few close people, thus never entering the Heavenly List.

Actually, the Heavenly List is just an overall ranking, many have the power close to the list yet are not on it, such as some reclusive monsters.

This is much like the millionaire list of later generations, they are just the surface-level wealthy, behind the scenes, many truly wealthy do not reveal themselves, neither high mountains nor deep waters.

And Boluo is one who knows Dharma Ba’s power firsthand, though Boluo isn’t a disciple of Living Buddha Basiba, he often visits Basiba in the Capital, and often consults on martial arts, over time, becoming acquainted with Dharma Ba.

And following the last Wending Mountain battle where the Living Buddha was severely wounded by Han Shantong, Basiba stopped taking actions, leaving Boluo to only spar with his Senior Disciple Dharma Ba. Initially, he looked down upon this person, believing his power insignificant, comparing him to his master akin to heaven and earth.

But after engaging, he realized he was too arrogant, Dharma Ba was not as weak as he imagined, rather powerfully grounded.

Boluo wrestled with him for over a dozen rounds without a decisive victor, thus sparking a desire to examine further, increasing palm power slightly, thinking Dharma Ba would succumb, unexpectedly Dharma Ba demonstrated power not weaker than the Heavenly List.

This utterly shocked Boluo.

Never imagined this unassuming figure beside the Living Buddha held such fearsome strength, truly not judging by appearance, the ocean not measured by a bucket!

Now Tuotuo proposes leaving Jiangnan to Dharma Ba, Boluo after a moment of thinking realized the plausibility.

Though Dharma Ba’s governance might not be strong, martial prowess suffices, governance can be aided by officials, military capacity managed by others, as long as martial power reaches the Heavenly List level holding Jiangnan at bay, chaos won’t ensue soon.

With this thought, Boluo said, ”When will Dharma Ba take over Jiangnan?”

Upon hearing, Tuotuo replied, ”In a month, eliminate Little Ming King, mostly because His Majesty in a month will hold the birthday banquet, when State Preceptor and Dharma Ba must attend to deliver Buddhist blessings, pray for His Majesty. After the prayers conclude, he can go to Jiangnan to assume office.”

After saying these, Boluo said, ”Such arrangements are indeed proper.”

With that said, Tuotuo spoke, ”Alright, Marshal Boluo, we can set off now, this Zoroastrian Sect long night, not dreaming, lest they create troubles, now that our goal is accomplished, there’s no need to persist with them!”
