Yelu said: ”Don’t worry, I won’t deceive you. It’s just the leader of the Fishing Guild? I will certainly seize him for you.”

”Thank you, Lord.”

Zhou Chu wiped his tears and said: ”By the way, Lord Yelu, living here for these days, do I need to avoid anything?”

Yelu paused and said: ”Oh, when you ask like that, it seems like I don’t trust you. You are a great meritorious official. Rest assured, in Yelu Mansion, you can go anywhere except the courtyard where my concubines reside.”

Zhou Chu immediately clasped his fists and said: ”Thank you, Lord Yelu.”

”Hmm, then you may leave.” Yelu said to Zhou Chu, then immediately said to his subordinates: ”Arrange an accommodation for Mr. Zhou.”

”Yes.”

Zhou Chu followed the people down, and the steward came beside Yelu and said: ”Lord, the batch of grain will be delivered in about four days, following the old route.”

Upon hearing this, Yelu said: ”Hmm, in these two days, select some people to tidy up our secret warehouse outside the city. The grain cannot be brought into the city.”

The steward was taken aback by these words and said: ”Lord, you mean.”

”Keep the target small, sell slowly.”

”Understood.”

The steward immediately said: ”I will arrange it.”

...

Another day passed.

The grain price in Mianshui officially rose to 50 cents per jin.

At the Fishing Guild, Xiao Hu rushed in and said: ”Gang Leader, the black market grain price has already risen to 50 cents per jin.”

”50 cents?”

Chen Jie squinted his eyes, pondered for a moment, and said: ”When does the grain merchants’ fleet arrive?”

Xiao Hu said: ”Tomorrow.”

”And what about Yelu’s batch of grain?”

Chen Jie asked Xiao Hu, who frowned and said: ”Yelu’s batch of grain was transported very secretly, we lost quite a few people, and later didn’t dare get close. But it’s estimated to take three to four days as well.”

Chen Jie thought for a moment and said: ”The grain price can’t rise too fast. Order to release ten thousand stones of grain, let the price stabilize at 50 cents.”

Upon hearing this, Xiao Hu said: ”Yes.”

Now, the market is in a state of hunger, unable to buy grain, so the price is rising rapidly. However, if a large amount of grain appears on the market, it may temporarily halt the price increase and maintain this price of 50 cents.

When the grain massively appears, surpassing demand, it will likely drop largely, this logic is similar to the stock market in future generations.

Thinking this, Xiao Hu immediately went out to prepare to stabilize the price for one day.

So on this day, the price did not rise.

...

Yelu Mansion.

”Damn it, who the hell sold the grain, 50 cents, sell for 50 cents, what the hell!”

At this moment, Zhou Peng was angrily shouting, cursing someone for breaking the rules, sneakily selling grain. If they hadn’t sneakily sold grain, how could it be like this now?

Zhou Peng angrily shouted: ”Which bastard couldn’t hold back, 60 cents, wasn’t it agreed to sell at 60 cents?”

”Who broke the rules, can it be sold for 50 cents?”

”Lord Yelu, say something!”

Upon hearing this, Yelu glanced at Zhou Peng and said: ”Alright, regardless of who it is, I hope there won’t be a next time, got it?”

”Grain in Mianshui must have a unified price, 60 cents, whoever dares to sell arbitrarily, I’ll make sure you pay the price.”

Upon hearing these words, everyone in the venue immediately looked at each other and then said: ”Yes, Lord Yelu.”

Seeing this, Yelu said: ”Very good. If I find anyone daring to break the rules, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”

On Mianshui River.

”50 cents, didn’t rise today?”

The grain merchants’ ship was about to reach Mianshui and got the news that today’s grain price didn’t rise, everyone frowned.

But they quickly realized: ”It didn’t rise today, it will definitely rise tomorrow.”

That night, the grain merchants’ fleet directly entered Mianshui County, docked at the Fishing Guild’s pier.

Xiao Hu hurriedly came over and said to Chen Jie: ”Master, the big grain merchants have arrived, with a whole twenty large ships, bringing probably 300,000 stones of grain. Now Mianshui has grain.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Jie said: ”Hahaha, good, right, immediately send someone to them, say we have cheap warehouses for rent, the rent is half price, see if they want it.”

Upon hearing these words, Xiao Hu immediately said: ”Yes.”

Quickly, the Fishing Guild members contacted the Suzhou Chamber of Commerce, and they agreed to rent Chen Jiusi’s warehouse.

After getting the news, Chen Jiusi laughed heartily.

And Zhao Ya also came, at this moment looking at Chen Jiusi said: ”The big grain merchants have arrived, what do we do now?”

Chen Jie looked at Zhao Ya and said: ”Commandery Princess, don’t rush, wait a little longer.”

Zhao Ya said: ”Wait for what?”

Chen Jie said: ”Waiting for the strategy to break the stalemate.”

Zhao Ya was stunned, what strategy to break the stalemate, haven’t you thought it through?

Seeing Zhao Ya’s expression, Chen Jie said: ”Commandery Princess, don’t worry, the fish have already been caught in the net, just missing the last moment.”

Just thinking about it, at this time, Chen Heng rushed in and said: ”Gang Leader, Zhou Chu sent word.”

Chen Jie said: ”Quickly give it to me.”

Chen Heng immediately handed the letter to Chen Jie, on this letter a check mark was drawn in vermillion, representing extreme urgency.

Chen Jie opened it, and the next moment, a smile appeared on his face: ”Hahaha... Get Xiao Hu here.”

Soon Xiao Hu walked in, followed by Chen Jie letting Xiao Hu read the letter, Xiao Hu said: ”Hmm, it should be correct, Old Zhou has made a great contribution.”

Upon hearing these words, Zhao Ya was confused and said: ”What are you talking about?”

Chen Jie smiled and said: ”Yelu’s grain transport route and storage location!”

Zhao Ya was taken aback: ”Where did Yelu get the grain?”

Chen Jie smiled and said: ”Borrowed from Yong’an Prefecture.”

After saying this, Chen Jie said to Zhao Ya: ”Commandery Princess, now it’s your turn to make an appearance.”

Zhao Ya said: ”Me?”

”Yes, Commandery Princess, don’t you forget, a few days ago in the meeting we agreed, let everyone show their divine skills to procure grain. Now Lord Yelu has managed to procure the grain, if the Commandery Princess doesn’t reward, wouldn’t it demoralize them.”
