Chapter 810: Chapter 218 Zhao Ya: Chen 94 Your Strategy is Too Awesome_3

Now we’re just waiting for the market winds to change!

And the biggest wind in Mianshui is Chen Jiusi.

So Chen Jiusi simply set fire to his own grain storage. This way, he can make these big grain merchants think there’s no grain in Mianshui, and the chance to get rich has come.

This is how they’ll bring grains into Mianshui, completely solving the grain shortage problem here.

This is Chen Jie’s trick ’invite the gentleman into the urn.’

Zhao Ya said after hearing this: ”Even if you want to attract these big grain merchants, there’s no need to set such a fire. In the beginning, couldn’t you just say you had no grain?”

Chen Jie shook his head and said: ”My dear Commandery Princess, do you think these big grain merchants are fools? Unless they figure out Mianshui’s situation thoroughly, would they dare to enter lightly?”

”And we don’t have much time to maneuver with them; we can only reveal our cards first and then destroy them to gain their trust. As long as they bring the grains to Mianshui, we can control them. Before that, we must deceive!”

Zhao Ya nodded lightly upon hearing this and said: ”So that’s how it is. No wonder you performed such a show. But even if those grain merchants come, we can’t forcibly take their grain. They are Imperial Merchants; if they are unwilling to sell, we cannot just rob them openly!”

Chen Jie laughed and said: ”Rob, don’t worry, Commandery Princess, we won’t rob. Once they arrive, I have a second plan to make them obediently sell their grain.”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Ya said: ”Chen Jiusi, are you so confident?”

Chen Jie said: ”Hehe, my strategy is not targeting a single person. Since I’ve set the stage, there is naturally a way to end the play.”

”What is the method to end the play?”

Zhao Ya curiously asked. Chen Jie said: ”Commandery Princess, you’ll know when the time comes. If I tell you now, it won’t be effective.”

Zhao Ya pursed her lips and said: ”Hmph, who likes to hear it anyway.”

Chen Jie saw Zhao Ya like this, just smiled without saying anything.

...

At the Drunken Immortal Tower, Yelu and his group had returned and were sitting inside.

Zhou Peng looked at Yelu and said: ”Lord, do you think the Fishing Guild’s grain really burned up?”

Yelu replied: ”The east warehouse is their largest warehouse, and I’ve checked the other Fishing Guild warehouses, they have no stored grain.”

Upon hearing this, Tang Wannian on the side said: ”Lord, do you think that Antai Grain Store might have stored grain?”

Yelu said: ”That place is very small, can’t store much, but we should check it out. Zhou Peng, send two people, this way, this way...”

”Yes, Lord, I understand.”

Zhou Peng immediately arranged for someone to leave, and then Yelu looked at Tang Wannian, who had a joyful expression, and said: ”County Magistrate Tang, Chen Jiusi’s grain warehouse was burned, you seem very happy. Could it be you also have grain to sell?”

Tang Wannian immediately stood up and said: ”Ah, Lord, I... I don’t!”

Yelu looked at Tang Wannian and said: ”Hehehe... don’t?”

”I am very poor, where would I have such precious things as grain to sell, my Lord misunderstand.”

Yelu looked at Tang Wannian and said: ”Tang Wannian, not telling me the truth, are you?”

Tang Wannian said: ”I wouldn’t dare.”

Yelu said: ”Hehe, alright, I won’t make things difficult for you. You know the rules, there’s money for everyone to earn. The 20,000 Stones of grain in your hands can be sold, but after it’s sold...”

Tang Wannian was startled by Yelu’s words. How did he know he had 20,000 Stones of grain?

Thinking of this, he quickly said: ”Lord, what about after it’s sold, does the money go to you?”

Yelu said: ”I’m not that greedy, just give me twenty percent.”

”Thank you, Lord, thank you, Lord.”

Tang Wannian thanked profusely upon hearing this, and Yelu seeing this, said: ”Hmm, no need to be so formal, you and I have known each other a long time, you know who to stand behind now, right!”

”I know, I know, I understand.”

Tang Wannian immediately pledged allegiance, saying he would undoubtedly stand firmly behind Lord Yelu, willing to do anything for him.

Seeing Tang Wannian like this, Yelu smiled and said: ”Sit down, Mr. Tang, sit.”

Then Yelu looked at everyone present and said: ”Mianshui is suffering a great disaster and is very short of grain. We have the power, so naturally, we should help the people, so once Chen Jiusi’s grain is sold out, we will start selling. As for the price?”

”I think sixty cents per pound is pretty good!”

Sixty cents, upon hearing this, everyone’s eyes lit up, and excitedly said: ”Sixty cents, haha, all listen to Lord Yelu.”

Everyone was delighted, this means six times the profit!

...

At this time, in a very low-key alley within Mianshui City, someone ran over stealthily, inside was a person who looked like a steward, who was calculating with an abacus.

As soon as the person came in, he shouted: ”Master Shen, Master Shen, something big, something big!”

The one called Master Shen was startled, looked at the person, and said: ”What is it?”

Upon hearing this, the person said: ”Master Shen, the Fishing Guild’s, the Fishing Guild’s grain warehouse caught fire.”

”What!”

Master Shen stood up immediately, face full of shock: ”What did you say?”

”The Fishing Guild’s east grain warehouse caught fire, reportedly burning nearly 200,000 Stones of grain.”

This!

Master Shen’s face was momentarily stunned, followed by a look of joy, and said: ”Really, is the information accurate?”

Upon hearing this, the person said: ”Rest assured, Master Shen, many people were on site, saw it happen, the entire east warehouse burned to rubble.”

”Really?”

Master Shen stared at the person who delivered the news, and the person said: ”It’s true, truly, the Ruyang King’s Commandery Princess was there, along with the local Darugachi, there’s no mistake.”

”Great, great, this time our Suzhou Shen Family will make a fortune out of this!”
