Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 813: Chapter 218: Zhao Ya: Chen 94, your strategy is too powerful_6

The young man said, ”Yes, back in the day, I too started as a beggar. It was only by taking each step that I have today’s enterprise. When we were small, we pursued quick profits. The greater the risk, the greater the reward. So back then, we could afford to take risks. But now that our business has grown, we must be more stable.”

”Selling grain is inherently profitable, so we don’t need to stake everything on gaining wealth. The more people we involve now, the smaller our losses and risks. As long as we can ensure a sure profit, it’s a good business deal.”

The young man spoke of business practices, and Chang scratched his head and said, ”Third Master, I can’t understand. I’ll go call people now.”

”Go ahead.”

The young man waved his hand and then closed his eyes, waiting for Chang’s report. Soon, Chang replied, ”The people from the Suzhou Chamber of Commerce are all waiting for you, Third Master.”

The young man said, ”Hmm, let’s go.”

Following the young man, Chang said, ”Still, Third Master is impressive. As soon as they hear Third Master has a deal, they can’t wait to come.”

The young man said, ”It’s not that I’m impressive, but that money is impressive.”

After saying this, the young man looked up and said, ”In this world, money can make the ghost push the millstone.”

Chang replied, ”That’s right, Master.”

The young man said nothing but walked forward, realizing the warmth and indifference of the world along the way.

His surname was Shen, given name Fu, courtesy name Zhongrong, and he ranked third in his family.

His ancestral home was Wucheng County, but later his family fell on hard times and drifted to Suzhou, where he experienced the coldness of the world and the warmth of human relationships.

However, relying on his clever mind, he went from nothing to having everything in just three years, transforming from a beggar on the street to the wealthiest man in Suzhou.

Outsiders hailed him as the Thousand Mountain Hermit, and over time, people started calling him: [Shen Wansan]

Moreover, because he was so adept at making money, many couldn’t understand his speed in earning, so they created a legend, saying he had a Treasure Bowl in his hand.

But clearly, this was nonsense.

He had no Treasure Bowl.

In business, he relied on one thing alone, and that was his intellect.

Soon, he appeared in an antique-looking living room filled with merchants, all of whom were from the Suzhou Chamber of Commerce.

This time, after a flood disaster in Hubei, they were the first to receive news and quickly gathered grain from Suzhou and Hangzhou, following the Yangtze River, reaching Hubei with the goal of making a fortune from this grain.

And Shen Wansan was the vice president of the Suzhou Chamber of Commerce. They had all come at his summons, prepared to make a profit.

Shen Wansan entered the living room, clasping his fists and said, ”Gentlemen.”

The members of the Suzhou Chamber of Commerce also clasped their fists and said, ”Brother Wan San.”

Shen Wansan was the youngest in the entire chamber, hence people called him ’Brother.’

At this time, Shen Wansan said, ”Sit, sit.”

After everyone was seated, Shen Wansan said, ”The reason I called you all here today is that there’s a big money-making business. Please take a look.”

Shen Wansan got straight to the point and immediately had someone circulate the letter from Mianshui received today.

Everyone was stunned, looking in unison, and then they all widened their eyes, saying, ”Ah, this, Brother Wan San, this is an opportunity to make a fortune!”

Shen Wansan said, ”I think so too, but I, Shen Wansan, believe in making money together. I’ve estimated that Mianshui County needs at least 300,000 stones of grain.”

”Currently, they only have about 60,000 to 70,000 stones of reserve grain locally. We’ll estimate generously for them at 100,000 stones, leaving a gap of 200,000 stones.”

”And this is still the minimum amount of grain consumed. Keep in mind, there are also scholars and landowners in Mianshui County who won’t be satisfied with just a bowl of porridge a day. One of them might consume the equivalent of seven or eight people. So, I roughly estimate that 400,000 stones would definitely be consumed by Mianshui County.”

”Moreover, it can be sold for at least 50 cents a stone. What do you all think?”

Hearing Shen Wansan’s words, everyone looked at each other excitedly and said, ”Brother Wan San, this business is doable, but for such a money-making deal, Brother Wan San, how do you propose we allocate it?”

Upon hearing this, Shen Wansan said, ”I’ll provide 100,000 stones of grain. There’s still room for another 200,000 or even 300,000 stones. Let’s count it as 250,000 stones, and you all can claim your share.”

Upon hearing this, the merchants’ eyes gleamed, and they immediately shouted, ”Good, good, our Zhao Family will contribute 100,000 stones.”

Shen Wansan said, ”Brother Zhao, that’s too much. At most, 50,000 stones for your Zhao Family.”

”Then our Zhao Family will take 50,000 stones.”

”The Li Family’s Trading House will take 50,000 stones.”

”The Zhang Family’s Trading House will take 50,000 stones...”

...

Soon, the 250,000 stone grain quota was allocated, and combined with Shen Wansan’s 100,000 stones, the grain merchant group brought a total of 350,000 stones. It would definitely reach Mianshui within seven days.

Shen Wansan said, ”Good, since it is so, gentlemen, let us go together and hunt in Mianshui.”

Hearing this, the large grain merchants immediately smiled and said, ”Good, let’s follow Brother Wan San and make a big fortune in Mianshui County together, hahaha...”

The entire room of merchants burst into hearty laughter, already feeling that the entire Mianshui was theirs to claim.

What they didn’t know was that Chen Jiusi had been waiting for them to fall into the trap.

At this moment, Xiao Hu from the Mianshui Fishermen Guild ran in and said, ”Gang Leader, our spies report that a large number of merchant ships from Xianning, Xiaogan, and other places are coming upstream towards our Mianshui. They are estimated to arrive in seven days.”

Chen Jie, upon hearing this, narrowed his eyes slightly and said, ”Seven days, haha, perfect.”

”Commandery Princess, now we just need to wait for the rabbits to come into the trap.”

Chen Jie smiled and raised his teacup towards Zhao Ya, and Zhao Ya looked at Chen Jie and said, ”You, you really have calculated these big grain merchants...”
