Ning An's Wild Wish System

The murder suspect that was making a lot of noise in Y City earlier has started fleeing to the vicinity of Pixian County since yesterday.

Ning An and Lin Yanke exchanged glances, their faces somewhat heavy, this could be troublesome.

Just by looking at the intensity of city police deployment, it’s not hard to infer that the police outside the city must have laid down a vast net, determined to apprehend the killer and bring them to justice.

But the destination they want to go to is deep in the mountains outside Pixian County!

If they enter the mountain and the police block it off, this will inevitably cause a clash.

However, the two just felt it was a bit troublesome, without worrying or even contemplating retreat.

If both of them were ordinary people, they would definitely strictly adhere to the order of society and do what an ordinary person should do.

But now, both have embarked on the cultivation path and have come a considerable distance, their mindset gradually beginning to change.

After leaving the stew shop, with the sun yet to completely set, Ning An and Lin Yanke directly headed to Qianyuan Temple.

The master of this Daoist Temple is a close friend of their master, so their visit as juniors at this time doesn’t seem abrupt.

Upon arriving at the temple, the situation was similar to that of Changchun Temple before, few incense burners were present, and the incense burner showed little ash, with only a middle-aged Daoist yawning wearily.

”Oh, Junior Brother Ning, Junior Sister Lin, how come you’re here?”

Perhaps due to the lack of incense burners around, their sudden arrival appeared somewhat abrupt, and when the middle-aged Daoist looked up, he immediately saw them.

”We’re out traveling, and upon staying here, naturally came to visit our uncle-master.” Ning An performed a Ziwuli greeting, responding with a smile.

”That’s not quite fortunate, my master just went out not long ago.” The middle-aged Daoist smacked his lips, returning a greeting in kind.

”He might not be back anytime soon, come on, let’s go inside for some tea.”

The middle-aged Daoist led the two inside the side hall, prepared tea, and began to chat leisurely.

This middle-aged Daoist is quite carefree; unlike other Daoists facing outsiders who tend to be formal, he didn’t hold back, slouched in a relaxed pose, and vented his grievances to Ning An:

”Junior Brother, it truly is hard for Senior Brother, your master enjoys traveling leisurely, and you cultivate freely, while my master’s family always refuses to budge, with Senior Brother feeling burdened.”

”Such a statement from Senior Brother is misleading, having guidance from predecessors on the cultivation path helps achieve great freedom in cultivation.”

With a smile he interrupted him, Ning An smoothly threw out his question: ”Senior Brother, the murder case in Y City has been causing a huge stir over the past few days, why has the suspect not been caught yet?”

”Staying in one place too long causes degradation, turning into waste.” The middle-aged Daoist bluntly spit, then sighed: ”Just a pity for the pair of mentor and apprentice.”

Lin Yanke followed up, asking: ”What does Senior Brother mean by this?”

”Humph, the victims in the Y City murder case are mostly related to a development project.” When mentioning this, the middle-aged Daoist became agitated, unable to hold back further:

”Months ago, a developer eyed a piece of land, intending to proceed with forcible requisition and seizure as per the old ways, but it happened to have a small Daoist Temple on it, whose old Daoist master was considered a close friend of my master, and he even thought of having his disciple listed under my master’s name a few days ago.”

”Let’s not talk about that for now, at that time the old Daoist steadfastly refused the demolition since the temple land registration was in his name, in theory, as long as he disagreed, the developer couldn’t touch the land.”

”But up above, the developers were already thoroughly bribed, they found some sort of emergency regulation overnight from who knows where, which happened to invalidate the registration; when the developer brought people to forcefully demolish, the old Daoist ended his life directly in a well, it’s heartbreaking to think of even now.”

”That little Daoist was raised by the old Daoist from childhood, not his own son but more than a son, with the old Daoist forced to his death, of course, he went mad seeking revenge for his mentor, though how he managed those wounds, it was certainly fierce techniques!”

”Of course, should anyone dare to forcibly demolish my family’s Daoist Temple, not that I’d have to do anything, my master would probably fight to the death, even taking along a few scumbags!”

”Boundless Heavenly Lord.”

The three drank tea and chatted, feeling joyful.

The middle-aged Daoist sighed relentlessly, maybe his master is not very capable, but the spirit of bending rather than breaking is clear to see, learning by imitation, he also opted for the Natural Daoist Skill, pretending all posh is so tiring!

Yet what he is unaware of, is that his master is now sitting at the police station, his body slightly trembling.

...

”Daoist Master need not be constrained.”

Watching the other’s reaction, Wang Ting seemed very pleased.

”Alright, not tense, it was just too sudden for me, so my body couldn’t keep up.”

Ye Yunqing let out a breath and finally set his mind at ease a bit.

There’s a saying: the commoners, even though they may battle against heaven and earth, would definitely not dare to fight against the Court.

Don’t be fooled by his usual aloof demeanor towards everyone, when facing the real power-holders, he surely yields as necessary.

He was actually comfortably composed when taken by special car to the county police station, as this side is considered his fundamental ground, not seeing much of an issue.

However once he stepped through the door and saw Wang Ting at first glance, undoubtedly, he was quite startled.

Despite his mere provincial deputy status, although many might not recognize him, Ye Yunqing, this semi-insider, is intimately familiar with him.

He administers punishment, commands severity, employs fierce techniques, eliminates evil thoroughly!

These are the best evaluations for him!

If it weren’t for his personality issues, his career path would probably have soared to great heights, yet even like this, plenty of prominent figures still favor him.
