Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 638: Chapter 345: Banquet, Gathering of Big Shots (Part 2)

Yu Hui: ”There’s a pot over there. You can give it a try first. I’ll guide you from the side.”

”Thank you, Miss Yu Hui.”

Naoki expressed his gratitude, then found the corresponding Berries recorded in the recipe, peeled, cored, and washed them clean.

Then, in order, he placed these Berries into the pot to stew and melt until they formed a crystal-clear jam.

Yu Hui observed from the side: ”There are very few impurities inside, meeting the qualified standards. It seems your cleaning work is quite thorough. Next, add the flavoring Nanab Berry.”

”This kind of Berry is soft and easily melts, so it should be added last. Its role is to add sweetness to the Pokeblock, improving the taste.”

Naoki watched the pot intently. Seeing it was almost done, he turned off the heat, then took out the jam, sifted out the residue, and poured it into a professional machine for compression.

When the compression ended, he proceeded to the final step, placing it into molds to solidify.

Soon, all the preparation work was completed, and five steaming hot Pokeblocks made from seven Berries were freshly produced.

Naoki looked down, and the information about these Pokeblocks surfaced in his mind.

[Beginner Gluttony Pokeblock (C+): Cooking Effect, Gluttony, is a Pokeblock that can satisfy the hunger of Pokemon. Just one piece can fill up a Munchlax and Pokemon with similar appetites beneath it.]

”Not bad!” Yu Hui cast an approving glance: ”The hand-making of Pokeblocks is similar. Breeders need to explore different recipes themselves. Besides this method, you can also purchase developed recipes from other Breeders.”

”This is also a way for Breeders to earn money. If one day you discover a rare Pokeblock recipe, you can sell it to the Breeder Association and other Breeders.”

Upon hearing this, Naoki immediately thought of the [Poipole Delicacy] he had just researched, a Pokeblock that could be used to attract Pokemon like Poipole.

It’s just that Poipole isn’t in the Unova Region. Although the Ultra Wormhole appears randomly across the world, the probability of encountering it here is still too low.

”By the way, Miss Yu Hui, do you have a pen? I want to record the Pokeblock recipe I just made.” Naoki said, mainly worried he might forget it later.

”Of course.” Yu Hui took a pen out of her pocket.

Naoki wrote down the recipe for the Poipole Delicacy.

To solidify the method of making Pokeblocks, Naoki stayed at the Breeder Association for practice over the next few days.

During this period, Alder only came once or twice. Upon learning that Naoki was in training, he didn’t disturb him and turned to continue with his own business.

Volcarona’s body had already healed, and the position of Champion in the Unova League was still vacant. Until a new Champion appeared, Alder felt he had to take on the duties of a Champion, guiding more Trainers and Pokemon to meet.

The sudden return and change of Alder caught the other four Elites of the Unova League completely off guard.

Especially after learning that the once-nearly-dead Volcarona had returned to its peak, the shock was even greater.

While Naoki was busy practicing Pokeblock making, the outside world was also undergoing huge changes.

Driftveil City was particularly bustling these days.

Luxury cruise ships, private planes, and special flights were arriving in Driftveil City in succession.

Famous entrepreneur Giovanni from the Kanto Region, the inheritor of the Dragon Taming Clan and Dragon Elite and Champion from the Kanto Region, Lance, and top figure in the Pokemon Research Realm, Professor Oak.

Mr. Stone, president of the Devon Company from the Hoenn Region.

Sinnoh Region’s strongest Champion, Cynthia, and the Psychic Elite Caitlin and Ghost Elite Shauntal from the Unova Region.

Champion and big star Diantha from the Kalos Region.

And numerous prestigious families from the Paldea Region, the boss of Rotom Technology Company, and his daughter Nemona.

Four days later, Naoki finally mastered the skill of making Pokeblocks proficiently.

That afternoon, Alder came to the Breeder Association to find Naoki, who was immersed in mixing Berries to create Pokeblocks.

”How’s it going?” Alder asked.

”Almost there!” Naoki let out a sigh of relief: ”Thanks to Miss Yu Hui, I can now make special Pokeblocks.”

”If that’s the case, then let’s go!” Alder laughed.

Naoki was slightly taken aback: ”What?”

Alder: ”The time has come, that banquet is about to start!”

Naoki finally realized what Alder was talking about, astonished: ”So soon?!”

Alder twitched his lips: ”It’s been four days since you arrived in the Unova Region. I just received the news that all the guests attending the banquet have arrived, we’re the only ones left.”

Upon hearing this, Naoki immediately put down what he was doing, not forgetting the main purpose of his visit to the Unova Region—to deliver the Rotom Smartphone project plan to the boss of Rotom Technology Company.

The time had now reached four in the afternoon, and the banquet was about to officially start.

Before leaving, Naoki originally wanted to find Yu Hui to express his thanks and say goodbye, but he learned from others that Yu Hui had left the Pokemon Association to travel to other cities.
