Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 631: Chapter 343: Ursaluna Crossing the Sea?

”Legendary Pokémon of the Unova Region?”

Upon hearing this question, Alder paused slightly and then began to recall carefully.

”Of course there are!” He flashed a smile: ”The most famous of them are the Dual Dragon Pokémon representing truth and ideals.”

”Dual Dragon... Pokémon?” Naoki asked.

Alder nodded: ”They are the Electric-type Zekrom and the Fire-type Reshiram.”

”Zekrom appears in myths as a legendary Pokémon. It can use its tail to generate lightning, hiding its entire body within thunderclouds, flying across the skies of the Unova Region. It’s said that traveling Trainers have once seen its soaring silhouette in the sky.”

”Reshiram’s tail, on the other hand, ignites flames. It’s said that when Reshiram’s tail burns, it generates heat energy causing atmospheric movement, altering the world’s weather.”

”In the ancient myths of the Unova Region, if humans disregard truth and indulge in desires, it will use flames to burn their kingdoms to the ground.”

Naoki: ”Sounds quite impressive.”

”Indeed, these Pokémon have existed since before the founding of Unova!” Alder smiled.

At this, he seemed to think of something, and his expression became heavy: ”The allure of legendary Pokémon is great, causing some individuals with ulterior motives to seek them out, attempting to harness the power of legends.”

Naoki, similarly preoccupied with Hydreigon: ”...”

Compared to Ghetsis, he probably isn’t too malicious, right?

Although Alder’s words seemed fine, they actually revealed a lot of information.

For instance, Reshiram and Zekrom are likely no longer in their Dragon Stone forms, roaming the Unova Region like normal Pokémon, from time to time.

Naoki remembers when Ash first traveled to the Unova Region, he encountered Zekrom in the anime.

At that time, Zekrom used Thunder on Pikachu, severely impacting Pikachu, preventing it from using Electric-type moves...

Alder did not continue the topic because the situation in the Unova Region is quite special.

Though it appears calm on the surface, there are actually undercurrents at play.

The mysterious organization advocating ”liberating Pokémon” was already faintly heard by Alder months ago, as this group uses speeches to stir public opinion, heavily criticizing him for excessively draining Volcarona’s stamina, leading to injuries that cannot heal.

This incident led him to self-doubt and was one of the reasons for leaving the Unova League.

But all of this has no relation to Naoki, so Alder did not tell him, turning to another topic.

”Oh right, like in the Paldea Region, there’s also an Abundant Shrine in Unova!”

Abundant Shrine? Is it Landorus? Information instantly popped into Naoki’s mind.

Alder: ”However, the shrine there doesn’t worship Calyrex, but a Pokémon called Landorus.”

”According to legends, Landorus absorbs wind and thunder, converting them into energy to nourish the soil, enriching the earth, and providing nutrients for crops to grow vigorously.”

”It is said that the lands visited by Landorus will have abundant harvests, thus this Pokémon is also known as the God of the Fields.”

Naoki raised an eyebrow: ”Sounds quite similar to what Calyrex specializes in!”

Alder smiled and nodded: ”Exactly, Calyrex is adept at making crops mature rapidly, while Landorus can supplement soil nutrients. If these two Pokémon worked together, crops could grow infinitely!”

Naoki isn’t too surprised upon hearing this.

Because Calyrex also possesses the ability to make soil fertile, a power that overlaps completely with Landorus’s.

But compared to Landorus, he is more concerned with Reshiram and Zekrom.

Yet from Alder’s recent words, he could tell that Alder also didn’t know where these two Pokémon were.

The only clue seems to be Kyurem.

Because in the game, Kyurem’s location has always been fixed, near the Giant Chasm in Lacunosa Town.

However, Naoki can’t be sure because this world is vast; the terrain and town distribution differ from those in the game, aligning more closely with the anime.

In such circumstances, no one can say for certain if Kyurem will definitely be in that location.

Naoki plans to devise a detailed strategy once he reaches the Unova Region, hoping to gather some information from others.

If time permits, he intends to visit Lacunosa Town, to pay a visit to this legendary strongest dragon.

The Squawkabilly Flying Taxi is fast, and within a few hours, Naoki and Alder reached their destination, Levincia City.

They didn’t linger in the city, heading straight to the port, buying two direct tickets to Driftveil City in the Unova Region from the ticket booth.

Coincidentally, a ship was just preparing to set sail.

The two hurriedly checked their tickets and boarded. Shortly after, accompanied by the melancholy sound of the horn, the large luxurious cruise ship slowly left the port and sailed out to sea.

Gazing at the slowly receding Levincia City, Naoki gently exhaled.
