Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 629: Chapter 342: Farfetch’d the Tachi Hero, Heading to Unova (Part 2)

”Gah!”

This place, it really didn’t come to the wrong spot!

Naoki: ”...Good luck!”

Farfetch’d nodded heavily.

Looking at those wooden dummy stakes that had been damaged, Naoki silently made a note in his heart, planning to contact Keri to come over and repair these dummies later.

Oh, almost forgot, he hadn’t yet discussed the main issue with Farfetch’d!

Thinking of this, Naoki spoke up: ”For the next few days, I have something to do and need to be away for a few days. But don’t worry, I’ve already prepared a Berry Platter for you, and the Indeedees will feed you in my place.”

”Gah?” Farfetch’d looked puzzled.

Naoki: ”Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon. During the time I’m away, make sure to practice well.”

”Gah!”

Seeing this, Naoki nodded.

After explaining everything, he turned around and went back to his room to pack the luggage for this trip.

Upon learning about Naoki’s distant trip, Ogerpon and the little friends it made at the ranch came running over together.

”Bonnie Bonnie!” Ogerpon’s starry eyes were full of anticipation.

Naoki looked at Ogerpon, Alcremie, and Glaceon who had run into the room, and asked, ”What’s up?”

Ogerpon pointed to Naoki’s backpack: ”Bonnie!”

Naoki was slightly taken aback, then understood: ”You want to come with me too?”

Ogerpon nodded repeatedly: ”Bonnie!” That’s right!

”I see...” Naoki thought for a moment, then happily agreed: ”Of course, we can go together!”

Hearing this, Alcremie and Glaceon also looked hopeful.

”Maa maa...”

”Bui...”

Naoki looked at these two Pokemon again.

He suddenly realized that these two poor little ones hadn’t gone far from the ranch since they arrived.

Naoki felt a twinge of softness in his heart, then patted Glaceon and Alcremie’s heads: ”Would you like to come with us too?”

”Maa maa!”

”Bui!”

Alcremie was extremely happy, and Glaceon’s eyes brightened with happiness.

Naoki smiled and continued packing: ”This trip will take several days before we return. If you have anything you want to bring along, you can give it to me, and I’ll pack it for you.”

Things like toys — every Pokemon at the ranch has their own toys, gifts from Naoki who bought them from the town previously.

Upon hearing this, the three Pokemon thought for a while, then turned and ran off.

Glaceon ran back to its Ice Cave, wanting to bring along its favorite Ice Stone.

But the stone was bigger than itself, and Glaceon couldn’t move it, so it had to ask Cyclizar for help with carrying.

Alcremie ran to the fridge, asking Koraidon to help open it and took several small cakes from inside to stash in its little bundle.

Meanwhile, Ogerpon went to the room where the four masks were stored.

Ogerpon wasn’t afraid of going out; it was because the masks contained its power, and only by wearing a mask could it unleash its true strength.

Naoki actually didn’t know, but Ogerpon thought to itself that it was a very powerful Pokemon.

And venturing outside, who knows, they might encounter some bad guys.

Then it would don a mask and fight for Naoki!

Soon enough, the three Pokemon found Naoki with their cherished items.

Looking at the Ice Stone Cyclizar was holding, Naoki felt a bit speechless.

”Are you sure you want to take this out?” Naoki looked at Glaceon, his face full of unspoken words.

”Bui~” Glaceon nodded; it was its favorite item!

Naoki: ”But... it’s too big, taking it along is so inconvenient!”

”Bui?” Glaceon blinked, looked at Alcremie and Ogerpon next to it, then at its Ice Stone.

”Bui...” It does seem quite large...

Naoki persuaded: ”We’ll be back soon, no need to take it out. It’s safe at the ranch, no Pokemon will come steal it.”

Well then. Glaceon hesitated, but finally decided to leave the Ice Stone at the ranch.

Naoki sighed in relief, and Cyclizar also relaxed, as the Ice Stone was really too cold.

It quickly returned the Ice Stone to the ice cellar, then ran to the fireplace to warm up in front of Slugma.

After storing Alcremie’s small cakes safely, when Naoki saw the four masks in Ogerpon’s hands, he suddenly looked surprised.

”You want to take them with you?” Naoki hesitated, then said: ”People in the Unova Region won’t dislike you, so you don’t need to wear a mask outside, and in any case, I’m here.”

Places like Kitakami are probably unique in that sense.

”Bonnie!”

Hearing this, Ogerpon knew Naoki misunderstood; it shook its little head repeatedly, then put on a fiery red mask.

In the next second, in Naoki’s astonished gaze, Ogerpon’s appearance began to change rapidly.

The burning aura constantly surged from the mask, and a strong Fire Type Energy spread over Ogerpon’s entire body, gradually turning its originally green coat into a flame-like red.

In this form, Ogerpon looked furious, extremely aggressive.
