Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 604: Chapter 332: The Five Garganacl (2)

I wonder if the Everstone falls within this category...

But looking at the Naclstack, it’s clear that the Everstone in their bodies hasn’t been digested yet, otherwise, they would have evolved into Garganacl.

However, Naoki wasn’t sure. This knowledge fell outside his expertise.

After a moment’s thought, Naoki decided to take the Garganacl to the Pokemon Center for a checkup.

He remembered there were machines there similar to X-rays that could examine a Pokemon’s body.

Naoki went back inside to find the Poke Balls for the Naclstack and then recalled them into the balls.

He mentioned his plan to Keri and left everything on the ranch to be managed by Indeedee. After arranging everything, Naoki called over the nearest Cyclizar and rode to Porto Marinada Town.

At this hour, the Pokemon Center was empty except for a few Trainers who had stayed overnight.

When Naoki arrived, Miss Joy was idly behind the counter.

Seeing Naoki, she was quite surprised: ”Mr. Naoki! What brings you here? Did the Pokemon at the ranch fall ill again?”

Naoki nodded and explained his purpose: ”My Naclstack accidentally ate an Everstone and couldn’t evolve. I came to get them checked.”

”Understood!” Miss Joy didn’t say much more. She took Naoki to the examination room and instructed him to release the Naclstack one by one for an X-ray examination.

Accompanied by the machine scan, Naoki soon saw on the screen a black shadow, an undigested piece inside the Naclstack’s bodies.

Miss Joy said: ”That should be the Everstone. Its mineral properties are quite unique; even Rock Type Pokemon can’t digest it.”

”Some Pokemon Trainers even deliberately let their Pokemon swallow the Everstone to prevent it from affecting their combat abilities.”

At this, Miss Joy looked helpless: ”I’ve encountered several of these Trainers before, where Pokemon that ingested the Everstone had a stomach ache, and they could only be treated by inducing vomiting to expel the stone.”

Naoki: ”...” These Trainers are just too lazy!

Next up, Miss Joy checked the other four Naclstack.

Sure enough, inside each Naclstack, there was an Everstone of varying sizes.

”In this case, inducing vomiting is the only solution,” Miss Joy said.

Upon hearing that the stones they swallowed could be removed, the Naclstack immediately cheered up.

Seeing this, Naoki felt helpless: ”You mustn’t eat random things in the future!”

”Stack!” The Naclstack nodded in unison.

Naoki sighed with relief and said to Miss Joy: ”I’ll leave it to you then, Miss Joy.”

Miss Joy smiled slightly: ”Providing treatment for Pokemon is the duty of every professional. Mr. Naoki, please wait outside.”

Naoki nodded and instructed the five Naclstack to listen to Miss Joy before heading to the lobby with Cyclizar to wait.

After a while, Miss Joy returned from the treatment room with five pale-looking Naclstack.

Her Pokemon assistant carried a tray with the Everstones that the Naclstack had accidentally eaten.

”All done, they’re fine now,” Miss Joy said with a tight-lipped smile.

Naoki paid the examination fee, took out the Poke Ball to let the Naclstack rest: ”Thank you, Miss Joy.”

Miss Joy wrapped the Everstones in a napkin and handed them to Naoki.

These are not worthless items; Everstone sells for 3000 League coins each in the market!

Naoki reached out to take them, deciding to have them framed back home as a black mark in the history of the Naclstack.

Then, he bid farewell to Miss Joy and rode the Cyclizar back to the ranch.

Seeing their safe return, Alcremie sighed with relief, running back and forth among the Naclstack, observing each one’s condition with concern.

Only after confirming that all the Naclstack were unscathed, Alcremie finally relaxed.

Seeing this, Naoki couldn’t help but laugh and ask: ”Why are you so worried? Were you afraid of the Naclstack being bullied by bad guys?”

”Cream!” Alcremie stood proudly with hands on its hips, indicating it can now deal with bad guys and protect the Naclstack.

Yesterday, it even used Metronome to pull off a move with seemingly great power!

Naoki chuckled.

The Naclstack were also delighted.

Just then, they suddenly began to shine with a bright light.

Within the white glow, the Naclstack’s bodies began to rapidly transform.

They gradually stood upright, eventually becoming five enormous, imposing giant Pokemon, resembling mighty guardians.

Their bodies exuded purity, with a faint salty aroma emanating from them.

The golden sunlight poured upon the Garganacl, making them appear sacred and pristine.

After brief astonishment, Naoki quickly regained his composure.

He smiled at the five Garganacl before him, ”Congratulations to all of you.” It seems they had already met the conditions for evolution long ago!

”Boom～!”

The Garganacl emitted a series of Growl, their voices sounding akin to rocks colliding, heavy yet textured, filled with overwhelming joy.
