Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 160: Volume 3, Chapter 48: To Live is to Be the Victor._2

Fatty’s figure tailed the Freedom Fighters disappearing into the buildings, room, hallway, window, staircase. The prey became the hunter, one by one the Freedom Fighters quietly withdrew from this cat-and-mouse game with marks on their vital parts.

Ten minutes later, when Fatty walked out smilingly, all thirty-three Freedom Fighters he competed with were already standing in the middle of the field, one less. This time, they had lined up in order, neatly, solemnly, but with some signs of unwillingness.

Fatty smiled and said, ”I know you’re still somewhat unconvinced. How about this, bring out the simulated sniper rifles, let’s play sniping.”

The spectators and warriors were silent. From the alley fight just now, it was evident that this Fatty was an expert in disappearing stealth, a top warrior among snipers. Although he hadn’t yet demonstrated his sniping skills, as soon as this competition mode was mentioned, everyone felt very pessimistic.

Sixteen of the best snipers were selected. Fatty’s thirty-meter disappearing stealth caused three of them to put down their guns directly. The remaining thirteen spread out to choose their respective sniping positions. They and Fatty were positioned at opposite locations, one in the south and one in the north.

A Freedom Fighter hid under a window, using a concealed periscope to observe the buildings to the north. A sniper must find the target without exposing themselves. Before finding the target, they usually place themselves in a safe position.

As the electronic viewing lens just elevated halfway, his head was hit by the particle signal of the simulated sniper rifle. He sighed. The instrument determining victory or defeat on his body indicated he was out of the game. At this moment, he didn’t even have a chance to find his opponent. He couldn’t understand, although the wall could be penetrated by a sniper rifle, how could Fatty with a non-infrared simulated sniper rifle know he was hiding there!

The second sniper to be out was deceived. He spotted something helmet-like on the northern rooftop. As soon as he extended his simulated sniper rifle from his hidden corner, he was immediately out.

Soon, Fatty in the north used endless deceptions that completely shattered the confidence of these snipers. This guy was a born trickster. He understood snipers’ psychology too well. Several times, the snipers almost determined these were fake targets created by the opponent, but the targets were too realistic and tempting. They might escape one deception but couldn’t escape continuous deceptions. Moreover, from beginning to end, this cunning Fatty never revealed any trace of himself. All exposed to the sight were traps, one after another. It was hard to distinguish between true and false.

When only three snipers were left, Fatty showed up. He ran through one window after another, door cracks, and low walls, luring the three calmest snipers. No one could remain calm. Dynamic sniping challenging static sniping was simply suicidal.

However, Fatty’s gun was too accurate. When the three snipers were ruled out, they realized that this Fatty had already determined their positions long ago. Because the sniper rifles couldn’t penetrate their shelters, he only needed an opportunity to shoot. What dynamic versus static sniping, Fatty just made one quick move, again and again, creating a mental inertia. When their guns aimed at his next possible position, he had already aimed at their hiding directions, waiting for them to expose themselves. What a trickster!

The defeat of thirteen snipers left the entire military base of Freedom Fighters silent. Watching Fatty carrying the sniper rifle strolling out leisurely, a tall Freedom Fighter finally couldn’t bear it. He rushed to Fatty and shouted, ”What kind of skill is it to be so sneaky? If you have the guts, have a fight with me! Are you still a man, you are too insidious!”

Fatty looked at this big guy and turned to the other Freedom Fighters, saying, ”Is he the best fighter among you?” The warriors shook their heads, and Oberto smiled and said, ”He isn’t, but he’s the toughest to beat up. When it comes to hand-to-hand combat, he’s the second.”

Fatty looked at the Freedom Fighter in front of him whose face was slightly red and said with a smile, ”Then bring along the best hand-to-hand fighter as well. I’ll play with you two.”

From the crowd walked out a person, it was the platoon leader who just stood up. Fatty glanced at his thin physique and legs and knew this man’s explosive power was definitely strong. His legs were well-trained.

Fatty stepped back a bit, put some distance between him and the two opponents, and beckoned, saying, ”Come on!”

The big guy couldn’t hold back anymore. He stepped forward and threw a straight punch, while the platoon leader quickly took the flank of Fatty, sweeping a sidekick towards Fatty’s waist, very ferociously. If it were an ordinary person, this kick would be tricky to handle, and if they used their arm, it would definitely be kicked and broken with this kick!

Almost at the same time the platoon leader raised his leg, Fatty crashed into the big guy’s embrace at an incredible speed. He caught the big guy’s strong but slow punch with one hand and hit the big guy’s chest with his back elbow with the other hand. Since he was entirely in the big guy’s embrace, the platoon leader’s sidekick couldn’t threaten him at all. The platoon leader missed his kick and, without hesitation, followed the momentum of his right leg to spin 360 degrees, delivering a back leg kick straight towards Fatty’s face.
