Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 573 -336: Once Brothers, Once Father and Son

At six in the evening, Lin Chu sat in the conference room, the video feed already connected.

On the screen.

Liu Junfeng was in New York, Gao Haitao was on Bohe Island, Zhang Peng and Wang Zhefei were in Peng City, Xu Hu was in Switzerland, and Hu Ping’an was in Russia…

Scattered across the globe.

All heading in different directions.

He didn’t know how their tasks were progressing, but Lin Chu was quite confident in them. He even felt a strange kinship, as if they were blood brothers. No, even closer than that.

A bond forged in life and death.

Comically speaking, it was the kind of trust where you could leave your wife and kids in their care.

‘Right, except I… have no wife or kids.’

“Alright, everyone’s here. Let’s begin… You all look like you’re in good spirits. Old Hu, your hair has gotten so long.”

Lin Chu said with a casual laugh. Hu Ping’an had previously shaved his head to symbolize a fresh start, and now his hair was thick and flourishing.

“It’s freezing! We’re talking dozens of degrees below zero. Even my hair follicles feel the pressure. It’s growing like a weed…”

Hu Ping’an replied with a laugh, lighting a cigarette. Just then, Lin Chu noticed the background on his screen—it was the base where he’d once stayed, Tomke. With a flicker in his eyes, he smiled and asked, “Have you bought the base yet?”

“It’s almost settled, just waiting on final approval. I’ve had to do some hard drinking these last two days, and it’s taking a toll. These Russians can really hold their liquor. Thanks to Alyosha and Dongnya’s families, things are going smoothly on this end. No problems.”

This military base was already a commercial operation, available for purchase.

Hu Ping’an had gone there under the name of LC Security, so the entire process and all the paperwork were perfectly legal.

Of course, there were inevitably some gray-area dealings, but as long as the money was right, those weren’t a problem.

“Good.”

Lin Chu smiled and nodded. ‘With this base, I can endlessly ‘spawn troops,” he thought. ‘Even if they’re just conventional forces at the bodyguard level… that’s still damn strong.’

‘If I can’t get certain weapons, Liszt and the club definitely can’t either.’

“I just arrived in Dubai today. This afternoon, I discussed things with Lu Ming and Haitao. I won’t be going to Bohe Island for now. I’ll probably be staying in Dubai for a while.”

“Right now, we have eyes on us. My judgment is that we’re on the defensive, so let’s lie low and keep developing.”

“I have two main points to discuss. First, our public mouthpiece. Let me introduce you all to Old Xu. He used to be an investigative journalist and has now set up a studio in Europe. The plan is to gradually acquire foreign media companies and cultivate influencers and streamers to be our voice.”

“At the same time, we can’t neglect our domestic efforts. Old Xu, this is Zhang Peng. He’s the head of LC Media in China. You two should stay in close contact from now on.”

“Second, recruitment. The logistics park base here in Dubai needs a lot of manpower. Security, construction engineering, logistics, finance, programmers… we need a large number of employees in these fields. I’ll send out the specific requirements later. We need to speed up recruitment. I don’t care what channels you use—headhunters, agencies, direct hires, whatever. As long as they meet the criteria, we’ll take as many as we can get. All the paperwork is in order; Lu Ming has already handled the entire process.”

“If you have any questions, speak now.”

Lin Chu got straight to the point, laying out everything he had to say at the start.

The others listened silently, pondering Lin Chu’s words, each lost in their own thoughts. For a moment, they all fell silent.

After about ten seconds, Liu Junfeng was the first to speak, a laugh in his voice. “Sounds like you’ve recovered? Does my mission here still have a point, then?”

His work there primarily involved cleaning up messes—finding a legal team, preparing to buy a prison, arranging various identities—all for this very purpose.

“I’ve caught my breath, but I’m not out of the woods yet. So of course your mission is still meaningful. You just keep laying low over there. If you come across any suitable assets or talented people, go ahead and recruit them. Money’s not an issue; pay whatever it takes.”

“From now on, you’re my viceroy, the Director-in-Chief for the United States.”

Lin Chu laughed heartily.

With Old Liu’s personality, he would be like a fish in water in that kind of atmosphere.

Hearing this, Liu Junfeng couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Alright then, I’ll start making some serious plans. Don’t worry, I’m having a great time over here. When you have money, you’re the king. The absolute king.”

Zhang Peng took the floor. “Brother Chu, about the recruitment, should we consider selecting people from within the company? I don’t think it’ll be difficult. The job market isn’t great right now, and all our branch companies are flooded with resumes.”

“As long as the pay is good enough, plenty of people would be willing to work abroad.”

“Last month, I had dinner with a business owner. The guy runs a Martial Arts School, and he kept pestering me, asking how his field could get into livestreaming and make it work. He’s got a big group of kids there with no job prospects, and he’s under a lot of pressure. I didn’t really pay him any mind at the time, just gave him a vague answer.”

“If you want them, I can send them all your way. There must be at least a thousand.”

Zhang Peng had a decent grasp of Lin Chu’s intentions.

The company was legitimate, and so was the recruitment. With their resources, it was clear they weren’t trying to scam anyone. Of course, there was no need to say all this out loud, but it was the reality of the situation.

At least he felt their skills were a perfect match for the job.

“Sure. Bring them on. With a base monthly salary plus an overseas posting allowance, they’ll start at over thirty thousand a month. That’s no problem at all.”

Lin Chu’s interest was piqued, and he agreed on the spot.

Tsk.

‘I really hadn’t thought of this angle before. But there’s no issue with it at all. In fact, it’s a great idea. A very, very good idea.’
