Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 556: Chapter 328: The Fish Is Hooked, The Rich Dog, Broadway, The Watcher

”Mr. Li, I just spoke with Lin Chu. He first inquired about the club’s total assets, and then requested that I open a bank account for him.”

In a scenic little town, Liszt was fishing. Li Jingxian stood nearby, holding a laptop and smiling respectfully.

After a few seconds of silence, Liszt turned his head slightly and looked at him, his eyes deep and penetrating.

”He wants to show us the source of his funds.”

That was Liszt’s conclusion, and a flicker of interest appeared in his eyes.

They had already figured out most of Lin Chu’s secrets through various surveillance and big data analysis methods. Almost everything was clear, except for two key points.

The first was Lin Chu’s personality. It was truly so complex and changeable that no one could make heads or tails of him.

At times he was naive, at others mature. Sometimes reckless, sometimes conservative.

At times promiscuous, at others devoted. Sometimes courageous, sometimes cowardly.

It was impossible to get a clear read on him. The whole picture was just... bizarre.

The team of professional psychological analysts concluded that the young tycoon’s worldview and values hadn’t fully solidified yet. He was still trying to find his own path and remained in a state of flux, which was why he seemed to act entirely on a whim.

He was like one of those young people popular on the internet these days, someone who’s just in it for the chaos and entertainment.

In fact, the thing that baffled the analysts the most was his livestreaming. He would give away all sorts of expensive gifts to his fans, but with no apparent ulterior motive. It was purely for fun.

Utterly bizarre.

The second point was the source of his funds.

The club couldn’t get its hands on certain top-secret internal bank information, but what data they *could* access showed that Lin Chu wasn’t backed by any financial consortiums or other major powers.

Even Liszt himself couldn’t make a judgment on this point.

And now...

Lin Chu was openly granting them access to that very channel.

”Yes, I’m also inclined to believe he’s flexing his muscles for us.”

”My recommendation is to accommodate him.”

Li Jingxian said softly.

After a thoughtful glance at him, Liszt shrugged. ”Fine.”

A fish bit the hook. With some effort, he heaved the rod back, flinging a struggling silver carp onto the bank.

A nearby bodyguard immediately unhooked the fish and returned it to the lake.

”Where is he now?”

Liszt asked casually.

”He’s on a luxury cruise ship that departed from Rotterdam, bound for Tokyo. He’s blocked all means of communication, but our people are tailing him. We even hired Ms. An Yunzhi, with whom he’s had dealings before, to work as the pianist on board. They’ve already run into each other...”

”But Mr. Lin clearly isn’t in the mood for any romantic dalliances right now.”

Li Jingxian said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

’Having followed Liszt for many years, he knew very well that deep down, his boss had a very strong ”God” complex.’

’He liked to arrange everything.’

’He loved to watch ”plays”—not the kind filmed by movie directors, but the living, breathing dramas of the human world. The conflicts between people, their stories.’

’When the drama reached a climax, this man, who normally showed little emotion, would become exceptionally agitated—shouting, excited, angry, sad... he’d feel it all.’

’He especially... liked to watch comedies and romantic subplots.’

’Many young people, too poor to pursue love, had ”unwittingly” received his patronage.’

’The... stories that unfolded between them served as his boss’s ”return on investment.”’

”Hahaha...”

Liszt couldn’t help but laugh, a look of genuine delight on his face. He paused for a moment before speaking. ”That’s a shame. I thought he’d be as suave and debonair as James Bond.”

Li Jingxian chuckled. ”Mr. Lin has actually had professional military training. It was brief, but he’s quite capable. Of course, compared to 007... that’s another matter entirely.”

”You may go. There’s no need to create any more trouble for him. After all, the journey ahead of him will be eventful enough.”

Liszt’s laughter died down, and he cast his line again.

Hearing this, a flicker of understanding crossed Li Jingxian’s eyes, but he said nothing more. He simply gave a slight nod, offered a polite farewell, and withdrew.

’It seems the other members of the club have already started their campaign to obstruct him, perhaps even to ”eliminate” him.’

’This was something the boss tacitly approved of, or even encouraged.’

’His days were numbered.’

’Two or three years at most, possibly even less, and he would likely pass away. When that happened, the ”Permanent Freeze” protocol would be initiated, with the hope that a major technological breakthrough many years from now might make a science-fiction-esque revival possible.’

’The boss once had heirs, but they were incompetent and mediocre, completely incapable of carrying on the club’s grand mission.’

’The other five candidates for the succession were already locked in.’

’What Lin Chu faced now was the fight for the final seat.’

’As for those five, they wouldn’t spare Lin Chu.’

’This, too, was part of the assessment.’

”Mr. Lin, the boss has approved your request to open a bank account. I have set up an account for you with PNC Bank. I am providing you with the account number and password now. Please check for them.”

「A short while later.」

Aboard the yacht, Lin Chu received a reply email from Li Jingxian.

The account was open—a US Dollar account.

Most foreign bank accounts just use an account number and password, without needing physical security tokens, which was very convenient.

Of course, this account would certainly be under their surveillance.

Looking at the email, Lin Chu didn’t reply. He simply smiled.

’The fish took the bait after all.’

”How much longer until we arrive?”
