Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 2484: Chapter 2387: Who Is This Mysterious Figure

Wu Jun unleashed his full aura, causing the gang of thugs to not dare utter a sound, each of them cowering and submissive, their previous arrogance completely vanished.

After a while, Wu Jun casually said to Brother Hao, who was kneeling on the ground:

“I can spare you, but I’ve mentioned before to your security captain that every grievance has its head and every debt has its owner. I’m here for your boss; while I’m still in a good mood, if he doesn’t want to die, he should hurry up and come see me, or else, I’ll make him regret ever coming into this world.”

“Yes, yes, yes…” How could Brother Hao dare to say a single word against him now?

Wu Jun glanced at him coldly: “Why aren’t you leaving yet?”

Upon hearing Wu Jun’s words, Brother Hao dared to get up from the ground, but one of his arms was already broken, making his movements quite awkward and his face contorted with pain.

The group of thugs lying on the ground also stood up, supporting each other as they followed Brother Hao in a hasty retreat.

The security guards, who were initially gleefully waiting to see Wu Jun’s miserable end, were all dumbstruck.

Especially the security captain who had been slapped earlier; having witnessed Wu Jun’s combat prowess, in fear of revenge, he didn’t even know where he’d hidden himself.

Very soon, only Huo Sining and the three others were left standing amidst the desolate tea rows.

Wu Ya had long been impressed by her brother’s skills; her eyes were sparkling with admiration as she looked at Wu Jun. Seeing Wu Jun turn around to look at her, she snapped out of it and suddenly started clapping vigorously, shouting:

“Brother, you were amazing, it was so cool earlier!”

Huo Sining, however, noticed that Wu Jun had been slashed several times by those thugs earlier and couldn’t help but ask worriedly:

“Are you hurt? Is it serious?”

Wu Jun smiled and shook his head: “Just some superficial wounds, nothing serious, I’ll just put some ointment on when we get back.”

Huo Sining chuckled and took out a bottle of injury ointment from her backpack:

“Use this, it’s what your boss brought back from the army, I brought two bottles with me and didn’t expect them to come in handy so soon.”

Wu Jun looked at the familiar bottle and laughed:

“With the tough drills in the army, injuries are inevitable. I used this a lot back when I was in Falcon, and it really works well.”

Without hesitation, he took the bottle from Huo Sining’s hand and began spraying it on his wounds.

However, after just a few minutes, he felt something strange and couldn’t help but wonder as he inspected his wounds, muttering softly:

“Has this ointment been improved? It’s way more effective than the one I used back in Falcon; it’s been less than five minutes, and the wounds are already scabbing, and I can’t feel any pain at all.”

Huo Sining just smiled without speaking; well, with the Spirit of Azure Pearl mixed into the ointment, how could it not be effective?

Though she wouldn’t tell Wu Jun this, she let him remain mistaken, knowing he couldn’t go back to Falcon to verify.

After treating the wounds, Huo Sining began awaiting the imminent confrontation. It was obvious that Brother Hao, having escaped Wu Jun’s control, would surely return with reinforcements.

Having taken down two of his groups, the tea garden owner they refer to as Brother De would find it hard to maintain composure; surely, it wouldn’t be long before he shows himself.

Huo Sining was keen to see just who this village bully, who oppresses the locals, really was!

Just as she was waiting, Huo Sining’s phone inconveniently rang.

Startled, Huo Sining picked up her phone and was momentarily stupefied.

Seeing Huo Sining’s odd expression, Wu Jun couldn’t help but ask curiously: “What’s up?”

Huo Sining smiled and waved the phone in front of Wu Jun.

The caller ID showed two characters: Yu Fei.

Even Wu Jun was a little surprised, but quickly he realized, smiling:

“Looks like he’s heard from the captain that we’ve come to Yun Province.”

When Huo Sining set out, she had no intention of alerting anyone, but her plan didn’t keep up with reality; first came the issue at the Wu Family Parents’ grave, and now Yu Fei had gotten wind of it, surely leading to more deviations ahead.

Feeling slightly resigned, Huo Sining picked up the phone to answer Yu Fei’s call.

“Hello, Little Yu.”

Yu Fei on the other end sounded very excited: “Sis-in-law, are you in Yun Province? Wow, such a big thing, why didn’t you notify me in advance so I could bring the guys to welcome you?”

Huo Sining couldn’t help but smile wryly: “Why welcome me? I’m here for other matters, not for leisure.”

Yu Fei laughed: “I know, isn’t it for that Orchid Exhibition? The boss said it’s at the end of the month, but it’s just the beginning now, there’s still plenty of time.”

Feeling a bit speechless, Huo Sining replied: “There are other arrangements, the schedule is already quite tight.”

Yu Fei, being overly enthusiastic, didn’t take Huo Sining’s other arrangements to heart at all:

“Oh, but since you’re here, you should allow us brothers to fulfill our hospitality duties, right?”

“You didn’t show up at our boss’s wedding, and many of the brothers are curious about what the sister-in-law looks like.”

“Coincidentally, the brothers and I are all on vacation right now, without any assignments, so if sis-in-law has anything, we can accompany you to handle it.”

Feeling helpless about Yu Fei’s persistence, yet finding it hard to decline, Huo Sining had to explain:

“Really, it’s not necessary. Wu Jun and I are in his hometown handling some matters and won’t be able to come over for now. Maybe another day when I have time.”

Upon hearing Wu Jun’s name, Yu Fei immediately perked up:

“Brother Wu Jun is here too? Well then, it’s even more necessary to meet. Brother Wu Jun left Falcon years ago; we comrades have missed him dearly, this is a great chance to gather all together!”

Only then did Huo Sining remember that Wu Jun was also a Falcon member, an esteemed veteran, surely with many familiar brothers within Falcon.

All these years, she thought that being forced out of Falcon so abruptly must have left Wu Jun with much regret and longing, right?

If it were just to see her, Huo Sining felt indifferent, but with Yu Fei bringing up Wu Jun, it made Huo Sining hesitate.

Instinctively, Huo Sining glanced at Wu Jun, wanting to gauge his opinion. After all, they had a complete mess to handle here and she wasn’t sure what Wu Jun’s stance was.

Wu Jun hesitated as well; family troubles shouldn’t be aired publicly, and moreover, what occurred in the village wasn’t exactly honorable. If it could be resolved quietly, he’d rather not have it blown up into a big issue.
