Reborn As Super Heiress

”Wait a minute!”

Seeing Master Li preparing to leave, Huo Sining was a bit surprised and felt that she hadn’t misjudged him after all.

This Master Li, even after knowing about her uncovering the superior jadeite, did not demand something in return but chose to leave quietly without even mentioning that he had lost his job due to his secret help during the stone gambling. It showed that this man was truly upright and straightforward.

Huo Sining had this old habit of cherishing talent and couldn’t bear to see good people down on their luck, so she couldn’t help but call out to the departing Master Li.

”Master Li, since you’re here, why are you leaving so soon? I guess you’re currently, in between jobs?”

Huo Sining steadily looked at the master.

As expected, upon hearing Huo Sining’s question, Master Li’s expression stiffened, and his lips twitched into a bitter smile. But soon, he laughed, shrugged, and said:

”Madam, you really have a keen eye. I was indeed fired. However, that person Lai was doing shady business, deceiving many people, and I felt quite oppressed working under him. It’s better to leave sooner rather than later. Doing such unethical work for long might harm one’s karma. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep this entire half month, but now, I can finally sleep peacefully.”

As he spoke, Master Li couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief, and his expression became much more relaxed.

Seeing this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but show an appreciative expression:

”Master Li, you’re right. It’s important to act with conscience. Those unscrupulous merchants will eventually face retribution. However, no matter what, Master Li, because of me, you lost your job. May I ask what your plans are next?”

Seemingly having figured things out, Master Li became quite carefree. When he heard Huo Sining’s question, he didn’t show any hint of depression and only smiled, saying:

”The boat will straighten out when it reaches the bridge. I have over ten years of experience in stone gambling. If I’m not kept here, I will find another place to stay; I’ll surely find suitable work.”

Huo Sining smiled, ”How about working for me?”

Master Li was taken aback upon hearing this: ”What?”

Huo Sining laughed, ”Although my shop deals in finished jadeite products, I often go to various places for stone gambling. Many of the jadeite raw materials are obtained through stone gambling.”

”My shop happens to lack a stone gambling master. I’ve been looking around but haven’t found someone suitable.”

”As you know, my shop handles big orders, and every piece of rough material is crucial. I can’t just find anyone to handle it. It has to be someone trustworthy.”

”I think you’re great, whether it’s your experience, skills, or character. I greatly admire them.”

”I trust you and believe you won’t betray my trust. So I’m sincerely inviting you, hoping you’ll come work at my shop. What do you think?”

Master Li couldn’t utter a word.

He initially thought Huo Sining was joking with him or sympathizing with him by offering him a job at her shop. Unexpectedly, this woman truly appreciated his craft and straightforward character, leaving Master Li quite surprised.

”Master Li?”

Seeing that Master Li didn’t speak, Huo Sining smiled and continued, ”Rest assured, there’s absolutely no issue with the compensation. I dare say my shop is the most profitable in Wangfujing, so I will definitely not be stingy with my employees. Your salary will definitely be higher than it was at the stone gambling shop, and there will be various rewards in my shop. You definitely won’t be shortchanged.”

Master Li’s face flushed upon hearing this, and he waved his hand awkwardly, ”No, no, madam, you misunderstood. I’m not doing this for the salary. I just want to ask, do you really want to hire me?”

Master Li’s eyes were filled with uncertainty, as if he couldn’t believe such a good opportunity had fallen into his lap.

Huo Sining nodded with a smile, ”Of course. If you can arrange the time, you can start work at my shop tomorrow. If you don’t have a place to stay, my company has a dedicated employee dormitory where we can arrange accommodation for you. Wenya, please bring two employee contracts.”

Lin Wenya walked into the office and quickly returned with two contracts. Huo Sining filled in the data in the contracts and then pushed them to Master Li.

Master Li opened the contract and glanced, and upon seeing the salary and benefits section, his eyes widened again, and he looked at Huo Sining in surprise, ”This...”

”That’s right, this is the treatment at our Jade Beauty. It’s not just for you; other employees, as long as they’re dedicated, I, Huo Sining, will definitely not treat them badly. If you think there are no issues, just sign the contract. In the future, I trust we’ll work together pleasantly. You don’t have to see me as a boss, just as a regular colleague, working together to make Jade Beauty better.”

Master Li had always thought these celebrities were all high and mighty, but this Huo Sining broke his perception of celebrities. This girl was just like the daughters of his neighbors, cheerful, sweet-spoken, and very considerate, speaking directly to Master Li’s heart.

Master Li’s blood was boiling, and the impulsive emotions made him feel a great sense of grandeur rising in his heart. Without hesitation, he picked up a pen and signed his name without a word.

After finishing the contract, a faint smile naturally appeared on Huo Sining’s lips. She stamped both contracts and handed one to Master Li before looking up and asking:

”Master Li, does Lai Wenguang still owe you money?”

Master Li was a bit embarrassed, not knowing how Huo Sining knew about this.

Huo Sining didn’t explain, just smiled, ”If the money’s gone, it’s gone. Such people’s money is unclean; it’s better not to have it. But don’t worry too much; I’ve said that people like him will eventually face retribution. So, Master Li, leaving that shop was the right thing to do, avoiding getting entangled and causing trouble for yourself.”

”How about this, there isn’t much to do at the shop today. In the afternoon, I’ll have Wenya show you around the dormitory to get familiar with the environment and routes. But before that, let Yingzi show you a good show!”
