Reborn As Super Heiress

After organizing those antique jewels and other items to one side, and placing those firearms separately on the other side, just these things alone took up quite a bit of space. Once everything was cleared up, half of the basement was finally empty, at least enough to move around a bit.

Huo Sining handed the equipment and documents for drug manufacturing to Gu Xu, then kicked the finished drugs to the side, and said to Gu Xu:

”I have no use for these, and they’re dangerous. If someone finds out, I wouldn’t be able to clear my name even if I jumped into the Yellow River, so you’d better give these to Grandfather Lu. In the hands of ordinary people, these are time bombs, but if the military can use them, they would definitely be very beneficial.”

The drugs, when used for medical purposes and certain special missions, are utterly beneficial, so Huo Sining thought that giving them to Chief Lu was the best choice.

Gu Xu initially contacted Song Hui, hoping to destroy that Tranleva’s base and get a batch of drugs and research materials. Now, his wife showed such awareness, bringing them out directly, Gu Xu was instantly delighted.

”How did you know I wanted this stuff?” Gu Xu asked curiously.

Huo Sining sneered, ”Come on, who do you think your wife is? Haven’t seen pork but I’ve seen pigs running. This stuff has dual uses. Ordinary people can only use it for indulgence, but the military must have clever uses for it. Otherwise, when you entered that base, why were you not interested in anything else, not even the firearms and ammunition, only fixated on these things?”

Gu Xu awkwardly scratched the back of his head. He had always been discreet, but he didn’t expect to be seen through by his own wife.

”I promised Chief Lu to bring these things back to the country, so knowing you were going to destroy that base in Mexico, I reported to Chief Lu. Last night, the old man even called me to inquire about the progress.”

Huo Sining shrugged: ”These things can be given to him, but not for free.”

Gu Xu immediately broke out in a cold sweat: ”What condition do you want to propose this time?”

Huo Sining gave Gu Xu an annoyed look: ”What do you mean ’again’? When did I ever propose excessive conditions while helping the old man? Besides, when have I ever made unreasonable demands?”

Gu Xu was silent. Indeed, his wife was always reasonable in this aspect, never raising excessive demands. Even Chief Lu had a love-hate relationship with this girl, yet was helpless against her.

”Fine, I don’t have any other demands. Since we’ve also brought back these engines, we have to make sure no trace is left, right? I have no other thoughts; I’ve set my eyes on these engines. When I have time, I want to import a few car shells from their place of origin and modify these engines into the cars.”

Gu Xu’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch: ”So?”

Huo Sining raised her chin and said as a matter of course: ”So, since these are luxury cars, they shouldn’t be skimped on. Even a replica has to look exactly like the original. When the time comes, as long as the old man gives me the green light, making these modified cars legal, I have no other demands.”

Gu Xu immediately sighed, regretting his whim back at the base to remove those car engines, not expecting that bringing them back would prompt his wife to come up with such a ploy.

It seems the allure of luxury cars is indeed great, as even a low-key person like his wife couldn’t resist the temptation of a few of these cars.

Gu Xu couldn’t refuse, so he nodded in agreement: ”Alright, I’ll bring this up with the old man. If you mention it, he’d probably reject it, but if I say it’s for my use, he definitely wouldn’t doubt it.”

Huo Sining understood Gu Xu’s point. The engine configuration of those cars was top-notch, thus implying rapid speed increases, which in the old man’s eyes surely meant it was unsafe. If she brought this request, the old man might directly confiscate the engines from her, leaving her no chance to make a request. However, since Gu Xu is a man and a former special forces soldier, the old man would likely agree without a second thought if he asked.

So Huo Sining nodded, assigning this task to Gu Xu.

After completely cleaning up the room, the basement finally became quite empty.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief, then her gaze fell on a safe lying in the corner.

That safe, Huo Sining had forcefully pried from the wall, so it was currently trailing a lot of wires in the back, looking quite pitiful.

She had casually brought the safe back and hadn’t thought much about it at the time. She hadn’t used the Heavenly Eye to see what was inside, only acting on a whim to test her idea at that moment to see if she could transfer wall-embedded items directly into Space.

Unexpectedly, it worked on the first try.

Due to time constraints, Huo Sining hadn’t thought of opening the safe, taking out the contents, then discarding the safe.

Now that the safe was brought back, she had the time to investigate thoroughly and spare time to crack the safe’s code.

With her hand on the safe’s door, Huo Sining attempted to use the Heavenly Eye to see what was hidden inside.

Just as she had anticipated, as soon as the Heavenly Eye penetrated the safe, she was greeted by piles of US dollars and Peso bills, stacked up, roughly estimating their worth to be around fifty to sixty thousand RMB.

Beside these bills were seven or eight gold bars and gold sculptures, which also seemed valuable.

However, seeing these items, Huo Sining couldn’t help but feel a bit puzzled.

The safe was deliberately embedded in the wall, so logically, it couldn’t just hold such few items.

After all, before this, Huo Sining and the team had already found many gold bars in the base, and their worth was way beyond what was inside this safe.

Moreover, there were also numerous antique artifacts on the shelves, which were also quite valuable, yet Tranleva didn’t place those in the safe. So why were these cash and gold sculptures hidden so carefully in a safe, with its own special code?

The more Huo Sining thought about it, the more puzzled she became. She was about to crack the safe’s code to find out, but unexpectedly at that moment, under the Heavenly Eye, a strange object flashed before her eyes.
