Reborn As Super Heiress

Huo Sining nodded: ”You have a point. I’ve looked at several other sea maps, and even though this Tranleva map is hand-drawn, its features are actually quite clear. Comparing them, I think this sea area, where 20W45S is located, most closely matches the characteristics of the hand-drawn map!”

Gu Xu, knowing perfectly well what his wife was thinking, spoke up before Huo Sining could:

”No matter what you’re thinking, even if you plan to go out to sea to find this place, you must wait until our daughter is born! Anyway, you’ve already pinpointed the exact location. This place isn’t going to move; it’s not too late to go after you’ve delivered!”

Huo Sining felt embarrassed. She had actually been about to say that she wanted to take a few people and a ship to visit this place at some point. But before she could, Gu Xu had already stopped her.

This matter with the coordinates had puzzled Huo Sining for many years. She hadn’t tried to unravel it deliberately, but it had always lingered in her mind. Now that the coordinates had been completely deciphered, although Huo Sining felt relieved of one concern, she was filled with endless curiosity about this place.

Not knowing where this place was would have been better. But now that she knew, the urge in her heart grew more and more intense. Her whole body itched with the need to set off immediately and explore this strange place to see what secrets it held.

However, no matter how uncomfortable she felt, she didn’t dare defy Gu Xu’s orders.

Gu Xu usually went along with her on most things, but when he did get angry, it was quite frightening. Besides, it was for both her and the child’s safety. Although this was Huo Sining’s first pregnancy, she knew that now wasn’t the time for her to be willful.

Moreover, ever since she got pregnant, she hadn’t really settled down. Sometimes she went to the Magic Capital, sometimes she flew to England, and sometimes she ventured to Mexico. It was only because she was in good health, and with Azure Pearl as her guardian, nothing ever happened. Had it been someone else, the baby might have been in trouble long ago.

Pregnant, Huo Sining naturally couldn’t go anywhere, but she still had to attend classes. So after returning to the Magic Capital, Gu Xu restricted her travel. Except for necessary classes at the university, she couldn’t go anywhere else and could only stay within the community.

The landscaping around the villa area was quite good, with an artificial lake and park in the community, providing very good air. Living in the community was convenient for Huo Sining. If she got bored staying at home, she could take a walk by the artificial lake to get some fresh air.

Gu Xu supervised her for a few days in the villa area and saw that his wife was quite well-behaved, at least not running around, and seemed to enjoy tending to fish and flowers at home. Seeing this, Gu Xu finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Due to company matters, Gu Xu couldn’t leave, so he had no choice but to return to the Imperial Capital. Before leaving, he took Huo Sining to the hospital for a prenatal check-up.

However, the result of the check-up left the doctor very puzzled.

”According to your blood test indices and the four-dimensional image of the fetus, the child should only be 14 weeks old. But looking at your belly, why does it already show? It’s really strange...”

Hearing the doctor’s words, both Huo Sining and Gu Xu couldn’t help but feel a chill in their hearts. The couple exchanged a look, both sensing the tension and worry:

”Doctor, is there a problem with the child?”

The doctor shook his head: ”There is no problem with the fetus. All indicators show everything is normal. I just find it strange that your belly looks somewhat large compared to ordinary pregnant women. It shouldn’t normally show at this stage, and you don’t seem to be overweight, so it’s not likely caused by abdominal obesity, which is a bit odd.”

Huo Sining paused and said: ”Is it caused by the fetus being too large?”

The doctor shook his head: ”You’ve had a four-dimensional ultrasound, and you can see the fetus’s image. This fetus doesn’t look large; it looks quite normal for a 14-week old fetus. The problem isn’t with the fetus. If it weren’t for the pictures, I’d think you were carrying twins at first glance, but since it’s not twins, for a single fetus to grow this fast feels somewhat abnormal.”

A trace of worry flashed through Huo Sining’s eyes: ”Then doctor, how should we deal with this situation?”

The doctor looked at Huo Sining and then at Gu Xu and said: ”Seeing that your husband is no young man, you surely don’t want to terminate this pregnancy. To keep the child, we definitely can’t expose the mother to X-ray radiation, as this would have significant effects on the fetus. So, the only approach now is to take a conservative approach - which is real-time monitoring.”

”Real-time monitoring?” Gu Xu, hearing these words, didn’t care about the doctor mentioning his age anymore, and urgently asked, ”How do we perform real-time monitoring?”

The doctor said: ”It means coming to the hospital once a week for monitoring, checking the growth of the fetus, and analyzing based on the mother’s weight, fetal ultrasounds, blood tests, and other data to see which aspect has a problem.”

”Additionally, starting now, the mother should follow my guidelines on what to eat and what not to eat, and in what quantities. There have to be limits; overeating can cause the fetus to grow too quickly, which also affects childbirth.”

Neither Gu Xu nor Huo Sining understood anything about this, so they followed the doctor’s advice. After returning to the villa, they still felt somewhat dazed.

Over there, ever since Huo Sining returned to the Magic Capital, Huang Hongying moved directly into Su Qingqing’s villa next door. During the day, she would come to watch over Huo Sining, afraid something might happen.

Seeing the couple come back looking grave, Huang Hongying immediately felt her heart tighten and urgently asked: ”So, have the results come out?”

Huo Sining nodded, then said: ”The doctor said my belly is a bit large, and it’s unclear why. I need to go to the hospital for real-time monitoring over these weeks, with a check-up every week.”

Upon hearing this, Huang Hongying frowned immediately: ”Every week? That’s too troublesome. Doesn’t the doctor know what’s causing it?”

Huo Sining shook her head: ”The doctor isn’t sure either. The four-dimensional images show no issues with the fetus; all indicators are normal. But my belly is showing too early, and it’s about as big as someone carrying twins, which doesn’t make any sense.”
