Reborn As Super Heiress

Upon hearing the man’s painful wails on the other end of the phone again, Huo Sining and Gu Xu exchanged a glance, and both silently mourned for the unlucky kidnappers.

Even Wu Jun, a dignified Soldier King, couldn’t handle this little girl, and you guys just delivered yourselves, isn’t this courting death?

Worried that the little chubby girl might go too far and accidentally kill those kidnappers, which would surely attract trouble if the police investigated, Huo Sining and Gu Xu decided to quickly bring the little girl back.

Fortunately, during this period, Huo Sining and the others participated in archaeological work, so the Cultural Relics Bureau allocated a car for them to use, allowing Huo Sining and Gu Xu to rush from the hotel to the Western Suburbs late at night in the shortest time.

After reaching the location mentioned by the kidnappers, Huo Sining and Gu Xu wandered around the whole construction site and finally found the troublesome kid at the bottom of a deserted building.

They hurriedly went over and picked up the little chubby girl. After making sure she wasn’t injured, Huo Sining felt relieved.

Only then did the two have time to look at the kidnappers who had abducted the little chubby girl.

However, this glance took them aback.

There were four people in total, all lying scattered on the ground piled with broken bricks. Some were unconscious; some had a scorched smell on them; some with crooked faces and drooling, only giggled at them as if they had been electrified into idiots.

Huo Sining was left speechless; these people generally weren’t in life-threatening condition, but it seemed they would either end up disabled or as idiots.

”Was it fun?” Huo Sining turned back to ask the little chubby girl in Gu Xu’s arms.

The little chubby girl, arms around Gu Xu’s neck, nodded excitedly, ”Yes, it was fun. These kidnappers were so dumb. I electrocuted them one by one, and they didn’t even notice. They thought some expert had arrived and kept begging for mercy until I revealed myself, only then did they realize.”

Huo Sining couldn’t help but sigh, ”It’s fine to knock them out, but why expose yourself? These people are obviously desperados, and exposing yourself without killing them all will leave future threats.”

The little chubby girl shook her head and said, ”They won’t. I can electrocute their central nervous system. A few random stimuli, and when they wake up, even if they don’t turn into idiots, they surely will have amnesia and won’t remember the kidnapping.”

Seeing the little chubby girl so confident, Huo Sining, although skeptical of her words, decided to trust her this once.

She nodded and said, ”Anyway, we need to head back to the hotel first. We’ll deal with these people later.”

Without further ado, Huo Sining stuffed all the kidnappers into the storage ring and rushed to the hotel with the little chubby girl.

After returning to the hotel, Huo Sining directly informed the hotel manager that the child had been found and that he needn’t worry.

The hotel manager, having stayed up all night, suddenly received this notification from Huo Sining at three in the morning and felt immensely relieved, as if a sword hanging over his head had finally vanished.

Now that the child was found, it seemed Mr. Gu’s people were indeed more reliable than the police. If they’d gone to the police, the chance of the kidnappers killing the hostage would have been very high. Unexpectedly, the people Mr. Gu found located the child in less than ten hours and brought them back safely.

Impressive. Being able to rescue the hostage so quietly, few in Fucheng could pull something like this off. The people Mr. Gu found must be from the underworld; otherwise, such efficiency would be impossible.

The hotel manager thought to himself, although curious about how they managed the rescue, he knew clearly that whether it was outward figures like Huo Sining and Gu Xu or those secretly operating in the shadows, they weren’t people an ordinary person like him could afford to provoke. If he angered them, no good would come of it.

Understanding this, the hotel manager killed his curious thoughts in the cradle and washed up before heading back to bed.

Without that psychological burden, he quickly fell asleep.

Meanwhile, back in their hotel room, Huo Sining and Gu Xu hadn’t been in a rush to sleep.

The two sat on the hotel sofa, and Gu Xu first called Yu Fei, notifying him that the person was found and he need not investigate further. He also told him to find a way to erase the recording of their drive to the Western Suburbs just now, so no one could trace their travel record.

To Yu Fei, of course, this was a small CASE. He agreed without hesitation.

After the call, Gu Xu and Huo Sining turned their focus on the little chubby girl to start a thorough inquiry.

”Tell us, what exactly happened, and why did you go with that kidnapper? I believe with your ability, dealing with such a stranger wouldn’t be difficult.”

Huo Sining spoke directly.

Seeing Huo Sining cross-armed and serious, the little chubby girl shrank slightly, took a while before hesitantly saying:

”That person knocked on the door, and I thought it was Uncle Wu Jun, so I opened the door, only to see that bearded man. Seeing no one else but me in the room, he asked if I wanted to go out and play.”

”And then you just went with him?”

Huo Sining looked at the little chubby girl with annoyance, ”Luckily, your body still seems young. A one-year-old’s speech isn’t very clear, so the kidnappers assumed that even if you were awake, you wouldn’t expose their whereabouts and secrets; hence, they didn’t use ether or anything else on you. Otherwise, do you think you’d be alive now?”

Huo Sining was right; if those kidnappers had realized early on that the little chubby girl wasn’t just one year old, they might have resorted to methods used on adults to subdue her.

If it really happened that way, she would have been drugged, bound hand and foot, blinded, and left to die, with no chance to overturn the plot and wipe out the kidnappers.

The kidnappers were overconfident, assuming that four grown men couldn’t handle a one-year-old child, thus skipping the binding, resulting in their downfall, each being electrocuted by the little chubby girl.

Seeing the little chubby girl still looking defiant, Huo Sining was a little angry. She took out a standard pistol from her storage ring and said to the little chubby girl:

”You haven’t been watching TV sparingly, so you surely know what this thing is. If the kidnapper had knocked you out, tied you up, and used this at you after taking the money, do you think you’d still stand a chance to turn things around?”
