Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1292: Chapter 1288: Uncle and Nephew

Of course, Huo Sining wouldn’t say this out loud, even though she knew it was a trap, but having so many people bidding was also the skill of the rough stone’s owner.

As for Liao Song Zhong Zifan reselling problematic raw materials, Huo Sining didn’t think there was anything wrong with that.

That’s how stone gambling is, wagering on a rise or fall based on one’s skills, though withdrawing at this moment might be somewhat deceitful, but if those gamblers or merchants weren’t trying to take advantage, they wouldn’t be so eager to jump into the pit.

If only these people had sharper eyes, saw there was something amiss, and could calmly think and weigh the pros and cons, they wouldn’t be so easily tempted by this piece of jadeite.

Huo Sining even thought with a tinge of schadenfreude that whoever won the bid for this piece of material would probably be so angry they’d vomit blood, with nothing but fragments and a total loss, anyone would find that hard to accept.

Just as Huo Sining came out and was about to pull Su Qingqing and Bai Yishan to look at other rough stones, she saw Wang Kaiwen and that Boss Qi standing not far away. What surprised Huo Sining even more was that standing next to Wang Kaiwen were two familiar faces, one of whom was Zhong Yuejin, Zhong Zifan’s uncle, and the other was Wang Zhongwei, who previously set up Zhong Zifan with fake raw materials.

Seeing these people standing together, Huo Sining was a bit surprised.

The five of them gathered together, clearly discussing something; Wang Kaiwen’s face showed some worry and hesitation, but Wang Zhongwei and Zhong Yuejin were persistent.

Perhaps it was because he met Huo Sining at the venue earlier, Wang Kaiwen wasn’t in a hurry to make a decision. After saying a few words to the others, he stepped out of the crowd, scanning around as if looking for someone.

Just at this moment, Huo Sining came out and was standing beside Gu Xu and a few others, Wang Kaiwen immediately saw Huo Sining, his eyes lit up, and he quickly walked over.

”Miss Huo!”

Huo Sining already guessed why Wang Kaiwen came looking for her, but she still smiled and didn’t show any displeasure on her face.

Wang Kaiwen was also somewhat uneasy, but the price of this piece of material in front of him was high, so he dared not make a move lightly and wanted a definite word from Huo Sining: ”Miss Huo, you’ve just looked at that piece too. I’m wondering, what do you think of this raw material?”

Huo Sining gave Wang Kaiwen an inscrutable smile, didn’t answer directly, but asked back: ”Are you also interested in buying this semi-betting rough material, Mr. Wang?”

Wang Kaiwen nodded and then shook his head: ”I’m not buying it alone; I’m co-buying it with a few friends. I can’t come up with that much liquidity alone. The performance of this material is too good, and I’m not sure how high the price can go.”

Huo Sining nodded. She had originally planned to stay out of it, enjoying the schadenfreude from the sidelines, but didn’t expect the situation to develop unexpectedly. Faced with such a huge opportunity and temptation, even someone like Wang Kaiwen couldn’t help but get involved, and he even came to ask her opinion.

Actually, it wasn’t just Wang Kaiwen who wanted to get involved; even Zhong Yuejin and Wang Zhongwei wanted a share of the profit.

Zhong Yuejin and Wang Zhongwei were considered slightly wealthy businessmen in Fuzhou, holding a good amount of liquid assets, and they were both very optimistic about this piece of material in front of them.

But Zhong Yuejin and Wang Zhongwei had ulterior motives, as they had a grudge with Zhong Zifan and Liao Song; even if they offered the highest bid, Zhong Zifan and Liao Song might not sell to them.

So these two wanted to bring Wang Kaiwen into the group, for Wang Kaiwen to do the bidding, because Wang Kaiwen didn’t know Liao Song or Zhong Zifan, so if he came forward, there wouldn’t be an issue of bidding high and still not being able to buy the material.

Hearing what Wang Kaiwen said, Huo Sining immediately understood the underlying reason, and couldn’t help but curl her lips into a highly ironic smile, looking at Wang Kaiwen, asking somewhat confusedly: ”Mr. Wang, may I ask, what is your relationship with Mr. Wang Zhongwei?”

Huo Sining hadn’t paid much attention earlier, but now seeing Wang Kaiwen standing next to Wang Zhongwei, she realized these two looked somewhat alike and guessed that Wang Kaiwen and Wang Zhongwei might be relatives.

Sure enough, when Huo Sining asked this, a look of surprise flashed in Wang Kaiwen’s eyes: ”Miss Huo knows my uncle?”

Uncle? Huo Sining laughed: ”I wouldn’t say know; I and your uncle, probably can only be considered, enemies.”

Uh...

Upon hearing Huo Sining’s words, Wang Kaiwen was at a loss for words, noticing that although Huo Sining was smiling, there was no trace of amusement in her eyes or expression, suggesting she wasn’t joking.

”Sorry, I didn’t know my uncle had a grudge with you, Miss Huo. My uncle likes playing tricks and being deceitful, so our family hasn’t interacted much with him these years. It was a coincidence we met here this time, and as his junior, I can’t really fall out with him.”

Wang Kaiwen’s impression of Wang Zhongwei didn’t seem very good either, although they came to Myanmar together, Wang Kaiwen unconsciously furrowed his brows whenever he mentioned Wang Zhongwei. It seemed that even though Wang Zhongwei was his uncle, the relationship between the two families wasn’t very harmonious.

Seeing this, Huo Sining didn’t hide anything and nodded: ”The grudge with your uncle isn’t something that can be explained in a few words, but I won’t hold it against you because of my issues with Wang Zhongwei. As for the raw material, Mr. Wang, you don’t need to get involved. Let your uncle and Zhong Yuejin stir things up.”

Wang Kaiwen was a smart person, and hearing Huo Sining say this, he immediately caught on, realizing that the raw material likely had some problems, so he didn’t ask further, nodded to Huo Sining in thanks, and turned back into the crowd, returning to Zhong Yuejin and Wang Zhongwei.

”Awen, where did you go just now? Why are you so slow?”

There were many people bidding on site, and Wang Kaiwen’s sudden departure at this time made Wang Zhongwei very dissatisfied.

However, Zhong Yuejin’s eyes twinkled, and he asked with a smile: ”Awen, have you made up your mind yet?”

Wang Kaiwen had just got the information from Huo Sining and had decided not to get involved. But how to word it was still a problem, so his expression appeared conflicted. This expression to Wang Zhongwei, however, conveyed a different meaning.

Wang Zhongwei thought Wang Kaiwen went out to call his brother to discuss, and now seeing Wang Kaiwen’s expression, he knew his nephew still hadn’t made up his mind. He couldn’t help but scorn in his heart that this family was too petty, not even being able to fork out a few million.
