Reborn As Super Heiress

At the entrance to the public auction, General Badasang easily obtained a stack of entry badges and handed one to each member of Huo Sining’s group.

Each entry badge had a set of numbers, and General Badasang informed Huo Sining that to place a bid inside, they would need to fill in their respective entry badge numbers; otherwise, the bid would be deemed invalid.

After General Badasang explained all the important details, Huo Sining and her companions followed him into the venue.

Due to the General’s status, the soldiers looked at Badasang with admiration and respect. They were lenient towards the guests brought in by General Badasang, casually checking Huo Sining and the others’ entry badges before allowing them through.

”Miss Huo, I need to have a meeting with the public auction committee members. I might not have time to accompany Miss Huo to view the bids. I’ll have Kuba follow you. The auction runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; once the time is up, the venue will be cleared. During this period, feel free to inspect the bids, and if there are any questions, you can ask Kuba.”

Upon entering the venue, General Badasang turned and said apologetically to Huo Sining.

Huo Sining was not accustomed to having so many strangers around whilst inspecting raw materials. Now that Badasang was leaving, she was naturally relieved, but she couldn’t show it too obviously. Feigning regret, she said:

”Is that so? I was hoping General Bada could give me some advice. It’s such a pity that you have other commitments.”

Badasang couldn’t help but laugh and said, ”Miss Huo, you’re giving me too much credit. With your ability, this stone gambling auction is just a piece of cake, hardly challenging enough for you. I’ll take my leave then, wishing you an effortless victory and an enjoyable experience today.”

Once Badasang left, Huo Sining and her companions felt much more at ease. His presence was too intense, making it uncomfortable to have him around.

The Yangon Public Plate venue was much larger than the stone gambling auctions in Pingzhou and Ruili. This expansive space of tens of thousands of square meters was set for the jadeite raw material transactions. Entering the venue, the vast space left the group amazed.

Huo Sining and her group arrived relatively late; the auction had already been open for an hour. The venue was packed with raw material merchants and gamblers from around the world.

Huo Sining was considering which direction to start her inspection when Su Qingqing suddenly tugged on her sleeve and motioned with her lips toward a direction not far away: ”Look, the Jade Princess from the Liu Family is indeed here!”

Following Su Qingqing’s indicated direction, Huo Sining saw that indeed, not far away, Liu Yuxuan was standing by a sign with some people, seemingly conversing with the owner of the raw materials.

Perhaps sensing the gaze from Huo Sining and her companions, Liu Yuxuan suddenly looked up towards Huo Sining, their eyes meeting in the air, sparks flying, and a thick tension immediately spreading.

The look in Liu Yuxuan’s eyes was filled with varied emotions towards Huo Sining—anger, resentment, regret, and intense jealousy. But soon, these emotions vanished from her eyes, replaced solely by intense determination as she provocatively stared at Huo Sining with an unyielding stance.

Huo Sining’s gaze was clear and pure, without shying away from Liu Yuxuan’s provocation. Slowly, the corner of her mouth curled up into a smile.

As for Liu Yuxuan and Liu Chongren, Huo Sining felt no guilt because every counterattack she made was solely for self-preservation.

On that day, Liu Yuxuan, being able to bully her as a newcomer, relied only on her superior stone gambling skill. If Huo Sining retreated, she would be the one to suffer, and if she lost, the Liu Family would certainly suppress her without giving her a chance to recover.

When she gambled with Liu Yuxuan, she still held back, which only fueled Liu Yuxuan’s desire for revenge. Eventually, even Liu Chongren got involved.

Huo Sining always wanted to leave some room for others, hoping to meet amicably in the future. However, she later realized that her kindness might not be appreciated by others.

This made Huo Sining recall the lesson taught by the recently blinded Mr. Hou.

She should never yield what rightfully belonged to her, as there would never be a second chance once it’s gone.

In this world, there is no such thing as fairness; those who call for fairness are simply the weak.

In a world of survival of the fittest, where winners and losers are decided, she cannot afford to retreat or back down. She must stand at the pinnacle, becoming the strongest; only by standing at the top can she have the merit to overlook the weaker ones below.

In the Vice Chairman’s office in one of the buildings of the trading center, General Badasang quietly awaited the individual in front of him to make a decision.

”Are you sure? If we can’t find new mineral veins this time, the entire military will fall under Zhaton’s control. This concerns the rise and fall of our entire Bada Family.”

An old man in a robe with a wrinkled face stared sternly at Badasang, as if trying to detect any hint of hesitation or doubt from his eyes.

But Badasang showed none. Instead, he looked directly at the elder:

”Father, I understand all of this, but the Bada Family has no choice. Zhaton has already partnered with Gambling King Liu Chongren, searching for mineral veins elsewhere. Our informant reports that things are progressing smoothly on their end. If nothing goes wrong, the Zhaton Family will discover and begin mining new mineral veins within three months, and we’ll be left helpless!”

The elder looked down at the investigation report on Huo Sining provided by Badasang, staying silent for a while before sighing, ”But can this Miss Huo really handle it? Mineral gambling is not the same as stone gambling; it requires not only extraordinary insight but also seasoned experience. She’s just a young woman, not even twenty years old; what kind of experience could she possibly have at such an age?”

”Father, the reason you’re hesitant and doubtful is that you haven’t seen Miss Huo gamble on stones. If you had, you wouldn’t be so quick to judge. Although this woman from Huaxia is young, I would bet with you that she’s not inferior to Gambling King Liu Chongren in the slightest, and perhaps even surpasses him.”

Badasang stood firm in his opinion, ”If you don’t trust me, you can ask Mr. Hou. Even Mr. Hou holds great admiration for Miss Huo. I believe his hearing is undoubtedly keener than the average person’s sight!”

”You mean about Mr. Hou inviting Miss Huo for a stone gamble, but she lost, didn’t she?”

The elder clearly heard about the event of Huo Sining gambling with Mr. Hou the previous day, making him even more hesitant and indecisive.
