Urban Martial Saint

If before Ye Qing was somewhat hesitant about going to the Demon Hideout Cave, then the affair with Hou San this time had utterly infuriated him.

He had already made a decision; even if he became a demon, so what? If he didn’t kill these beasts in human skin, what meaning was there left in living!

Fu Qingping stood by Ye Qing’s side, watching him behave this way, he merely sighed lightly, not saying anything else. Just as Ye Qing had said, if he stayed in Shenchuan City, then those around him would fall into misfortune one by one. Therefore, he must change this situation.

That evening, Ye Qing and Li Lianshan arranged a simple funeral for Hou San. Of course, the body was not buried there; instead, after cremation, Chen Jun would take the ashes back to his hometown.

Without sleep all night, by early morning the next day, Ye Qing went to find Fu Qingping, asking him for help to leave Shenchuan City.

This time, Fu Qingping didn’t try to persuade Ye Qing anymore. He found a car and had Ye Qing hide in it ahead of time. Then, he got a driver and personally sat in the car, having the driver drive the vehicle out of Shenchuan City.

Ye Qing hid in the car to avoid being seen by people outside, so he knew nothing about the situation outside. After being jolted around for half a day, the vehicle finally stopped, and Fu Qingping’s voice sounded from outside: ”Alright, you can come out now.”

Ye Qing got out of the car and looked around in surprise. He recognized this place; it was near a dock in the Eastern Suburb of Shenchuan City, less than twenty kilometers from the city area of Shenchuan City. After half a day, he had originally thought Fu Qingping had taken him far away, but unexpectedly, he was still in Shenchuan City.

”Master, aren’t we still in Shenchuan City?” Ye Qing asked in a low voice.

”I know.” Fu Qingping nodded, glanced around, and said, ”However, those tracking me have already left.”

Seeing Ye Qing was still somewhat confused, Fu Qingping explained: ”I’ve been living in the manor of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. Leaving that manor suddenly would certainly arouse suspicion. So, I pretended to be sightseeing, taking you around the city’s attractions for half a day. Those people tracked me for a while and saw that I kept sightseeing; they thought I was really just out for fun, so they gave up. Even though we’re still in Shenchuan City, from here you can leave by waterway, which is the safest method. Even if someone wants to follow you, it won’t be that easy!”

Ye Qing suddenly understood, finally appreciating Fu Qingping’s thoughtful plan, and gratefully said, ”Thank you, Master.”

”No need to be so polite.” Fu Qingping smiled and said, ”Let’s go, I’ve already arranged a boat for you; you can board and leave in half an hour.”

Ye Qing already saw a cargo ship moored by the shore, which must be the one Fu Qingping had arranged. Leaving this way was indeed safer; although traveling by cargo ship was slower, it was at least low-profile, and no one would expect him to leave Shenchuan City this way.

”Master…” Ye Qing hesitated for a moment, then quietly said, ”There’s something I want to tell you.”

”What is it?” Fu Qingping asked, smiling, ”Why so secretive?”

Ye Qing looked around, ensuring no one was near, and then lowered his voice, ”Master, actually, there’s something I’ve been hiding from you.”

”Oh? What is it?” Fu Qingping looked at Ye Qing in surprise, and suddenly, his expression changed, exclaiming, ”You’re not planning to go out and fight with those hidden masters, are you? You shouted about killing them all last night to avenge your brother; you’re not really going to seek revenge, right?”

”Not that.” Ye Qing shook his head, his expression slightly awkward, and whispered, ”I... I actually never told you that the Buddha’s Relic... the Buddha’s Relic was never lost...”

Fu Qingping had helped Ye Qing so much, and Ye Qing felt genuinely grateful, so he wanted to tell Fu Qingping about the Buddha’s Relic. Although the Buddha’s Relic was in his palm, with Fu Qingping’s skill, maybe he could sense the power of the Buddha’s Relic through Ye Qing’s hand, thus glimpsing that realm to enhance his power.

”What?” Fu Qingping, with a shocked face, looked at Ye Qing in disbelief; these words had left him more astounded.

”The Buddha’s Relic was never lost, it has always...” Ye Qing was speaking when his phone suddenly rang. He picked it up, glanced at it, and his eyebrows furrowed slightly; the call was from Zhao Chengshuang.

Ye Qing was originally planning to leave Shenchuan City quietly, so he hadn’t told anyone to prevent outsiders from knowing, and didn’t want his brothers to stop him. Because he knew, under his current circumstances, these people would surely never let him leave Shenchuan City easily. He had to act first and report later, leaving Shenchuan City so no one could stop him. However, he hadn’t told anyone about this plan, so why was Zhao Chengshuang calling now? Could it be Zhao Chengshuang knew he was going to leave? That was impossible, right? Even the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance didn’t know about this; how could Zhao Chengshuang possibly know?

After a moment of hesitation, Ye Qing finally answered the phone and asked, ”Cheng Shuang, what’s wrong?”

”Ye Zi, it’s bad, something happened!” Zhao Chengshuang’s voice was very anxious on the other end.

”What happened?” Ye Qing’s heart was in suspense as well. Zhao Chengshuang’s urgency meant that things were definitely not simple.

Zhao Chengshuang anxiously said, ”Liu Mubai... Liu Mubai was ambushed over in the Western Province and was seriously injured, and... and now he’s missing...”

”What!?” Ye Qing immediately exclaimed, almost jumping up. He knew just how serious this matter was.

Liu Mubai had gone to the Western Province on behalf of Ye Qing to help find Ye Jun. Before Liu Mubai, Black Bear had already met Ye Jun. However, after that incident, even Black Bear’s news had disappeared. Ye Qing had no choice but to ask Liu Mubai for help in the Western Province. But now, even Liu Mubai had encountered trouble, ambushed and injured, and even missing. This was indeed a serious matter.

”How did you get this information?” Ye Qing quickly asked.

”After Liu Mubai was ambushed and injured, he sent me a message. Then I immediately contacted the local police to help rescue Liu Mubai. But...” Zhao Chengshuang sighed and said, ”But, by the time those policemen arrived at Liu Mubai’s hiding place, he was already gone. There were signs of a struggle at the scene, and Liu Mubai’s phone was also turned off, so there was no way to track him. So, this... this situation...”

Ye Qing held the phone, falling into silence. First, Ye Jun and Black Bear disappeared, and now Liu Mubai was also missing over in the Western Province. This matter required careful consideration. Was it trouble that Ye Jun got involved with over there, or was someone deliberately targeting Ye Qing?

If it was that Ye Jun got involved in some trouble over there, Ye Qing found it hard to believe. After all, Ye Jun had lost an arm and a leg, so how could he have made any enemies? Even if he did, it wouldn’t be with someone so powerful. Not to mention Black Bear, but Liu Mubai’s strength was certainly not simple, and even he couldn’t fight off his opponent. This showed how strong the opponent was. Was it someone that Ye Jun could have offended?

Therefore, Ye Qing could almost be certain that this matter was targeted at him. Especially in the current situation, everyone was eyeing him, trying to find the whereabouts of the Buddha’s Relic from him. Now that such things were happening over in the Western Province, it was impossible not to link the two matters together.

If this was truly the case, then now Ye Jun, Black Bear, and Liu Mubai had probably fallen into the enemy’s hands. If Ye Qing didn’t quickly rescue them, they might end up like Hou San!

Fu Qingping, observing Ye Qing’s distraught expression, couldn’t help but ask curiously, ”Ye Qing, what’s wrong?”

Ye Qing looked at Fu Qingping, his brows tightly knit. At this moment, he couldn’t think of discussing the Buddha’s Relic and instead recounted the situation with Liu Mubai.

After listening to Ye Qing, Fu Qingping also furrowed his brows tightly and said in a deep voice, ”It seems, given their situation, they might really be in danger. Ye Qing, what do you plan to do?”

”I think I must make a trip to the Western Province!” Ye Qing said in a deep voice. Hou San’s matter made Ye Qing unable to hesitate any longer. If because of him these three suffered any more loss, Ye Qing would never forgive himself, even in death.

”Alright, then I’ll go with you!” Fu Qingping said directly.

”What?” Ye Qing was stunned for a moment, looking at Fu Qingping in surprise, not immediately understanding.

”I said, I’ll go with you.” Fu Qingping took down the Qingping Sword from his back and said, ”Your strength is no match; going alone to the Western Province, you definitely won’t be able to fight them. Since you call me grand master, how can I not help you in this matter?”

”Grand master, this... this could be very dangerous...” Ye Qing said gratefully, ”We still don’t know what dangers lie in the Western Province, nor do we know who the enemy is or their strength. If you go there and encounter danger...”

”Though I am old, my skills haven’t deteriorated much.” Fu Qingping casually displayed a sword flower and said, ”Ordinary three or five Peak Masters trying to kill me is not that easy!”

Fu Qingping’s words were quite straightforward, indicating to Ye Qing that he wasn’t too concerned about ordinary three or five Peak Masters. In fact, under the current circumstances, who could gather that many Peak Masters? Even the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance and Twelve Green Halls had a scarcity of Peak Masters. Moreover, most of the Peak Masters were gathered in Shenchuan City. In the Western Province, even if there were Peak Masters guarding, they wouldn’t be too many, posing no threat to Fu Qingping!
