Urban Martial Saint

Seeing Helian Tiehua rush over, the members of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance were greatly excited. Helian Tiehua was the backbone of everyone in the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance. With him here, the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance felt confident!

However, when Helian Tiehua rushed to this side, he did not attack the old man but instead threw his head back and laughed.

”Hahaha...”

The old man, seeing Helian Tiehua, also did not make a move, instead laughing out loud as well.

The people below were stunned, watching the two men on the rooftop who were laughing wildly. Everyone’s faces were filled with surprise and doubt, not knowing what was happening with these two. They didn’t start fighting; instead, they started laughing. What was going on?

Ye Qing was also somewhat surprised. However, when he saw the gaze between Helian Tiehua and the old man, he vaguely guessed that these two should be old acquaintances.

As expected, after their laughter stopped, Helian Tiehua directly bowed to the old man and said, ”Tiehua pays respects to Uncle Fu!”

Upon hearing this, everyone at the scene was shocked: this white-haired old man was actually of the uncle generation to Helian Tiehua?

”Between you and me, there’s no need for such formalities!” The white-haired old man smiled faintly, casually grabbed Helian Tiehua, and helped him up. He looked Helian Tiehua up and down, slowly nodded, and lightly said with a smile, ”Good! Good! Good! Big brother’s son is indeed a dragon among men, unmatched in the world. Tiehua, today’s achievements of yours are no less than those of your father back in the day!”

Hearing the white-haired old man say this, the people were even more certain that this white-haired old man was indeed of the uncle generation to Helian Tiehua. However, what everyone couldn’t understand was, given his relationship with Helian Tiehua, why did he injure people from the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance?

”Uncle Fu overpraises.” Helian Tiehua quickly said, ”My father’s defying strength is not something Tiehua can compare to.”

”You’re too modest. Back in the day, what my big brother was most proud of was you. Unfortunately, thirty-seven years ago, I thought my lifespan was nearing its end. To preserve my life, I had to gather vital energy and hide from the world, only reappearing the other day.” The white-haired old man stroked his beard and said, ”Upon reappearing in the world, the first thing I did was to find you. How is it? How’s big brother doing now? Has he emerged from seclusion?”

Helian Tiehua’s face was noticeably a bit sorrowful. He sighed deeply and said softly, ”My father passed away as early as thirty years ago.”

”What?” The white-haired old man’s expression changed dramatically. He looked at Helian Tiehua in shock, and only after a while did he come back to his senses, trembling as he said, ”How... how is that possible? Big brother’s strength was undoubtedly the greatest among us brothers. If I, Fu Qingping, could survive, how could big brother possibly pass away? With his strength, sealing himself for fifty years wouldn’t have been a problem!”

”If my father’s strength was sealed, he indeed could have lived a few more years. But back then, during troublesome times, the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance were plagued with internal and external troubles. As the Left Envoy of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance, how could my father ignore the internal and external affairs of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance?” Helian Tiehua sighed and said, ”Back then, my father already knew that his lifespan was coming to an end, but he was unwilling to seal himself. He exerted all his efforts on the affairs of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance. By the time the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance stabilized on this side, my father was no longer able to seal himself. So...”

He was unable to continue, but his meaning was already very clear.

The white-haired old man Fu Qingping was stunned, slowly retreated two steps, with a lost look on his face, unable to recover for a long time.

Under the eaves, the Wolf Monk looked at the white-haired old man and couldn’t help but whisper, ”Is he Fu Qingping?”

At this time, Ye Qing had already walked to the Wolf Monk’s side. Upon hearing the Wolf Monk’s words, he couldn’t help but curiously ask, ”Fu Qingping? Master, have you heard of this name?”

”More than just heard of.” The Wolf Monk glanced at the white-haired old man and whispered, ”This person should be a figure between the era of Luan Ping and the Three Great Villains, extremely powerful, nicknamed the Green Reed Swordsman. He wielded a longsword and was never defeated in his life. He was sworn brothers with Helian Tiehua’s father and another person. The three of them were the most powerful peak masters of their time, holding a status akin to the Five Unmatches of the World in today’s era!”

Listening to this, Ye Qing couldn’t help but feel shaken. He never expected that this white-haired old man’s strength would be so formidable. No wonder the Wolf Monk was slapped down by him just now. Although the Wolf Monk was also a peak master, he was still somewhat inferior compared to Helian Tiehua. After all, Helian Tiehua had trained in the secret techniques left by Patriarch Bodhidharma, making his strength naturally surpass that of ordinary peak masters.

”Since he was sworn brothers with General Helian’s father, why did he injure people from the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance?” Ye Qing asked softly, puzzled.

”Who knows, could it be that someone offended him? But even if someone offended him, at most, he should just teach them a lesson, it shouldn’t have resulted in such heavy-handed action?” The Wolf Monk shrugged. Given the relationship between Fu Qingping and the Helian family, he shouldn’t have made a move against people from the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance.

While the two were whispering, Helian Tiehua also glanced at the man Fu Qingping was holding. This man was a member of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance, and one of Helian Tiehua’s close subordinates. Seeing him hurt like this, Helian Tiehua’s expression was quite unpleasant.

”Uncle Fu, what’s going on?” Helian Tiehua tentatively asked, ”This man is a member of my Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance. I don’t know how he might have offended Uncle Fu...”

”He hasn’t offended me, you misunderstood.” Fu Qingping waved his hand and said, ”On my way here, I saw him being chased by the Sky-Killing Master, seriously injured. I didn’t know his identity at the time, but knowing the character of the Sky-Killing Master, I stepped in to save him. It was only later that I learned he was also a member of the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance.”

Upon hearing this, everyone suddenly understood, including Ye Qing and Wolf Monk, who also figured out the situation. It turns out the man wasn’t injured by Fu Qingping, but by the Sky-Killing Master, and Fu Qingping even saved him. Fu Qingping did not attack people from the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance.

Helian Tiehua also breathed a sigh of relief. If this man had indeed been injured by Fu Qingping, then this matter would have been difficult to resolve. Fu Qingping was his elder, so he would have had to endure it. However, the man was his subordinate, and if he couldn’t give an answer, he wouldn’t be able to face the subordinates of the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance in the future.

It’s fortunate that this man was not injured by Fu Qingping, and Fu Qingping even saved him, which made Helian Tiehua extremely grateful.

”Thank you, Uncle Fu!” Helian Tiehua said excitedly, ”If it weren’t for Uncle Fu, my brother here would have been in danger today.”

”It was nothing at all,” Fu Qingping said, ”I just can’t stand the character of the Sky-Killing Master. Back in the day, your father and our three brothers often opposed the three of them. Unexpectedly, the first person I run into after coming out is them. Hahaha, fortunately, my longsword is not old yet and can still repel him!”

Helian Tiehua laughed heartily and said, ”Although it has been many years, Uncle Fu’s charisma remains as strong as ever.”

”Ah, but I’m indeed old.” Fu Qingping sighed, placing the man in his hand on the ground and said, ”I didn’t know whether you were in here when I first came in, so I didn’t inform and just jumped over the wall to get in. Additionally, this young brother is seriously injured, I’m afraid we have to find a way to heal him first.”

”Please rest assured, Uncle Fu, Divine Doctor An Shiping’s chief disciple is here, he will definitely be fine.” Helian Tiehua walked over, took the man, and handed him to a few others to carry him to Bai Li Xi. Then Helian Tiehua invited Fu Qingping to come down and accompanied Wolf Monk and Ye Qing to the hall to sit.

After having tea served, Helian Tiehua introduced Ye Qing and Wolf Monk to Fu Qingping. Fu Qingping had heard of Wolf Monk’s name, so upon hearing it, he specially looked him up and down and said, ”Back in the day I had several encounters with Master Shijia. I didn’t expect that today I would meet another heir from Xiaolin Temple. After many years without showing up, I wonder how Master Shijia is now? To what extent is Xiaolin Temple flourishing?”

When Fu Qingping was living in seclusion, Xiaolin Temple was still around, not yet destroyed by the Blood-Clothed Monk’s bloodbath, and it was still the number one temple in the Buddhist Sect under heaven. This time out, he obviously hadn’t received any news, so he didn’t know that Xiaolin Temple no longer existed.

Speaking of this, Wolf Monk felt a bit awkward. He gave a light cough and said softly, ”Shixiong is fine, he was in Shenchuan City a while back, but has left recently. As for Xiaolin Temple, more than thirty years ago, it has... has ceased to exist...”

”What?” Fu Qingping’s eyes widened, looking at Wolf Monk with an astonished expression, ”What... what do you mean ceased to exist?”

Helian Tiehua said, ”Uncle Fu, not long after you went into seclusion, Xiaolin Temple was annihilated in an unexpected event.”

”How... how... how is that possible?” Fu Qingping’s face was full of surprise and shock, for he had lived through that era and knew best about the flourishing state of Xiaolin Temple. Besides Shijia, the number one monk of the time, there were so many top masters holding positions. What kind of event could have led to Xiaolin Temple’s annihilation? Even if the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance and the Twelve Green Halls were wiped out, Xiaolin Temple shouldn’t be wiped out, right?

”It’s true,” Wolf Monk sighed lightly and said softly, ”When I first heard about it, I couldn’t believe it either. But Xiaolin Temple has indeed ceased to exist.”

”What happened? What transpired?” Fu Qingping asked urgently, ”Who has the ability to destroy Xiaolin Temple? Was it people from the Taoist Sect or Demon Sect?”

In Fu Qingping’s understanding, besides the Taoist Sect which was comparable in strength to the Buddhist Sect, only the Demon Sect, which had always been hidden and held a deep-seated grudge against the Buddhist Sect, could accomplish such a thing.

”The force that annihilated Xiaolin Temple wasn’t the Taoist Sect nor the Demon Sect, but people of the Buddhist Sect...” It was at this moment that a cold voice suddenly came from afar, ”It was me, the Bloody Monk!”

Upon hearing this, everyone simultaneously looked up. Sect Master of the Kill Gate, Bloody Monk, had actually returned to Shenchuan City at this moment!
