Urban Martial Saint

Upon hearing this, the four exchanged glances, and the Executioner Scholar said in a deep voice, ”Do you mean that we should capture the person he cares about most and force him to hand over the Buddha’s Relic?”

”Correct!” Wanyan Hongsheng laughed. ”He has a beloved named Huangfu Ziyu, and moreover, Huangfu Ziyu possesses the Sun Shooting Bow. If we can capture Huangfu Ziyu, not only can we force Ye Qing to hand over the Buddha’s Relic, but we can also seize the Sun Shooting Bow. Why not do it?”

”Huangfu Ziyu?” The Executioner Scholar’s eyes flashed with a brilliant light, his voice tinged with excitement. ”I’ve heard that this woman is as beautiful as a Heavenly Immortal, but I’m not sure if that’s true.”

”She is more than just as beautiful as a Heavenly Immortal; she’s even more beautiful!” Wanyan Hongsheng laughed. ”Absolutely fitting for the Scholar’s taste!”

The Executioner Scholar looked even more excited and said, ”Then there is Shen Qingyi, who is also said to be an extremely beautiful woman. Is that true?”

Wanyan Hongsheng laughed and said, ”This Shen Qingyi, if we speak of beauty, exceeds even Huangfu Ziyu.”

The Executioner Scholar’s eyes shone with even more gleam. After a long silence, he suddenly looked at Wanyan Hongsheng and said, ”Wouldn’t it be difficult to capture this Huangfu Ziyu?”

”Why do you say that, Scholar?” Wanyan Hongsheng asked, puzzled.

The Executioner Scholar said in a deep voice, ”If capturing her were easy, the Wanyan Family would have already done so and forced Ye Qing to hand over the Buddha’s Relic, wouldn’t they? Why come to us four brothers for a discussion?”

”Hahaha...” Wanyan Hongsheng laughed. ”So, the Scholar is worried about this. Actually, you’re overthinking it. With our power, capturing Huangfu Ziyu isn’t difficult. However, right now, the Wanyan Family is dealing with another more critical matter, and we cannot be distracted at this juncture. Until this matter is accomplished, our family members cannot reveal their identities. Therefore, for now, we can’t do it ourselves; we must seek help from others.”

The Executioner Scholar looked at Wanyan Hongsheng, seeing his normal expression; he felt somewhat reassured and said, ”I see, then this matter will be easy to handle. You want us four brothers to help do some things outside that you find inconvenient. That’s not hard. But there’s one more question I must ask. After capturing Huangfu Ziyu, to whom does the Sun Shooting Bow belong? To you or us?”

”To tell you the truth, among the Three Gates of Heaven, Earth, and Man, the Wanyan Family must enter one. Moreover, our people are already arranging to snatch the Three Maps. The seven weapons can be given to you, but in the future, they will only work with our Three Maps to enter the Three Gates. So, you can keep the Sun Shooting Bow for now. But in the future, there must be a place for us in the Three Gates!”

Wanyan Hongsheng’s words made the Executioner Scholar feel even more reassured. If Wanyan Hongsheng had directly offered to give them the Sun Shooting Bow, he would have doubted the Wanyan Family’s intentions. But the way Wanyan Hongsheng put it made him feel more at ease and less worried.

”If that’s the case, then it’s settled!” The Executioner Scholar said in a deep voice, ”We will set out to capture Huangfu Ziyu, and after success, go after Shen Qingyi!”

”Regarding Shen Qingyi, it’s best not to rush, my friends.” Wanyan Hongsheng shook his head. ”Shen Qingyi resides in the Shen Family Manor, where not only the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun is stationed, but also another peak master of equal strength. This Shen Tianjun is, without a doubt, the foremost peak master of this era, with power surpassing even Helian Tiehua and the Bloody Monk. And the other peak master is no less powerful than Shen Tianjun. The Sky-Killing Master is seriously injured. If the four of you rush to the Shen Family Manor like this, I’m afraid there won’t be any advantage to gain!”

”Is that so?” The Executioner Scholar frowned deeply and said, ”These younger generations, are they actually this formidable?”

”In truth, their initial strength was only average, but by chance, they trained in a secret technique left by Patriarch Bodhidharma, which significantly boosted their power, making them difficult to deal with,” said Wanyan Hongsheng. ”Once you get the Buddha’s Relic and want to deal with this Shen Tianjun, it will be as easy as turning your hand. Then, when you go to seize Shen Qingyi, who in the Shen Family Manor could stop you?”

This was what the Executioner Scholar wanted to hear, and he nodded with satisfaction. ”This method is good. Very well, then. First, capture Shen Qingyi, force Ye Qing to hand over the Buddha’s Relic. After obtaining it, head to the Shen Family Manor to capture Shen Qingyi!”

”That would indeed be best,” Wanyan Hongsheng smiled and said, ”Attempting to capture Huangfu Ziyu now isn’t much of a perfect time. Huangfu Ziyu has brought members of the Seven Families to intercept the Human Fourth Hall of the Twelve Green Halls. My friends should hide for a few days. When their battle reaches a critical point, capture Huangfu Ziyu then. This way, the Seven Families will lose their leader and surely fall into chaos. Not only could you capture Huangfu Ziyu, but it would also lead to a major defeat for the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance, further weakening their power!”

”Alright!” The Executioner Scholar slowly nodded, agreeing, ”Just as well, I’m injured and need more time to recover. I’ll wait for them to begin the fight in earnest before capturing Huangfu Ziyu!”

”Scholar, if you don’t mind, I have Healing Holy Medicine here. It should be very beneficial for your injuries!” Wanyan Hongsheng reached for a porcelain bottle.

”No need,” the Executioner Scholar firmly refused, still wary of Wanyan Hongsheng, and naturally would not consume his medicine.

”Haha...” Wanyan Hongsheng laughed faintly, putting the bottle back into his attire, and said, ”In that case, my friends should find a place to recover for a while. At the right moment, I will contact you. For now, I won’t disturb you, farewell!”

After speaking, Wanyan Hongsheng cupped his hands to the crowd, then left with the man in black. After walking more than ten miles, Wanyan Hongsheng finally exhaled a sigh of relief, muttering, ”These four are indeed hard to deceive.”

”Third Brother, when you said you’d give them the Buddha’s Relic and the Sun Shooting Bow, was that real?” the man in black couldn’t help but ask, his voice somewhat stiff, indicating his Mandarin wasn’t fluent. This was likely because he grew up in Japan, so his Mandarin wasn’t sharp.

”If they capture it, it will be theirs. But what if they can’t?” Wanyan Hongsheng smiled coldly. ”The Buddha’s Relic is something the Wanyan Family is determined to obtain. How could it fall into their hands? As for the Sun Shooting Bow, what’s the harm in giving it to them? The Sun Shooting Bow only exerts its power in Huangfu Ziyu’s hands. In anyone else’s hands, it has no use, and they are just keeping it safe for us!”

”I see!” The man in black suddenly understood, grinning. ”Third Brother, you always have a way.”

”Hahaha...” Wanyan Hongsheng chuckled. ”Once we seize the Buddha’s Relic and the Corpse Ghost Dragon regains its strength, then we from the Wanyan Family will rule the world. These four people are merely our pawns, not worth worrying about. If they don’t submit, the Corpse Ghost Dragon can wipe them out at any moment!”

”Hahaha...” The man in black laughed out loud, exclaiming, ”Being in complete control is truly exhilarating!”

”Of course it is!” Wanyan Hongsheng proudly laughed. ”Our Wanyan Family has been preparing for a thousand years for this opportunity. This time, who can stand in our way!”

After Ye Qing and his group returned to Shenchuan City, sure enough, no one was watching outside the manor anymore. As Helian Tiehua had said, after the battle tonight, they had already made a name for themselves. Those hidden martial masters witnessed their formidable methods, and who would dare create trouble outside the manor now?

The strength of the Four Great Villains was considerable, and together, they far surpassed other hidden martial masters. Now that all Four Great Villains had been defeated, what need was there to fear anyone else?

Back in the manor, Ye Qing could finally sleep peacefully. Early the next morning, after a light breakfast, he took all the documents out and started meticulously studying the loopholes.

Zhao Chengshuang went to bring the witnesses whom Ye Qing needed for recording confessions. Before their arrival, Ye Qing had to memorize all these materials from start to finish so that when the time came, he would know precisely how to question them with focus.

Even though the remaining documents for Ye Qing to comb through weren’t many, they took him the entire day. At nine-thirty in the evening, as soon as Ye Qing returned to his bedroom, he received a call from Zhao Chengshuang.

”Ye Zi, I’ve brought the people you were looking for. What should we do now?”

Ye Qing hadn’t expected Zhao Chengshuang to bring the people over so quickly. Zhao Chengshuang had previously said it would take two days, but he managed it in one day. This clearly showed how much effort Zhao Chengshuang had put into this matter.

”Bring them to the manor. I have some questions to ask them.” Ye Qing replied. At the moment, he had no mind to sleep, and he quickly grabbed his materials, left the bedroom, and went to the courtyard next door to await their arrival.

Promptly, less than half an hour later, Zhao Chengshuang brought all the people over. There were more than thirty of them, most of whom weren’t family members of the child but rather neighbors or passersby. After the child was killed, these people had more or less seen someone leap out of the house, so they had become eyewitnesses.

Zhao Chengshuang also brought photographs taken at the scene and evidence from the police. Ye Qing glanced through these photographs and evidence, confirming his previous judgment even more: the person pictured in action in these photos was definitely not at the acme level, merely a top-level master.

As Zhao Chengshuang watched Ye Qing review the photos and evidence, once Ye Qing finished, he couldn’t help but ask, ”How is it? Any clues?”

Ye Qing glanced at Zhao Chengshuang and said, ”There must be more than one perpetrator!”
