Urban Martial Saint

Because Handsome Fatty Wang needed to gather people, Ye Qing and Handsome Fatty Wang didn’t leave that evening. Moreover, the tools Handsome Fatty Wang needed weren’t so easily gathered.

Even though Li Lianshan had everything under control in Shenchuan City, the items Handsome Fatty Wang needed weren’t things you could buy with money. Many things had to be arranged from elsewhere.

Fortunately, Fat Wang was quick at making contacts. This guy had been in the business for a long time and knew many people. Plus, he had a knack for persuasion, telling others he discovered the tomb of Qin Shi Huang’s son, filled with treasures, and even clues to the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang. That very night, he managed to contact a group of people.

These people also helped prepare some of the necessary tools. So, by the next morning, everything was ready. Both parties agreed on a meeting place, and all preparations were completed.

In the morning, Helian Tiehua arranged a plane, and Ye Qing and Fat Wang took a private jet to leave Shenchuan City. Coincidentally, the group Fat Wang contacted was staying in a city not far from the mountain where Patriarch Bodhidharma achieved enlightenment. So, even before Ye Qing and Fat Wang arrived, the group had already reached the meeting spot, making it the most convenient.

The speed of the plane was swift. They departed in the morning, and by noon, the plane had landed in Tangyun City in the North. As soon as the two brought their tools out of the airport, they saw two business cars waiting outside. Four men were standing by the cars. Though they all looked fairly ordinary and were not tall, Ye Qing could tell they all had a sharp glint in their eyes, a sign of people who weren’t simple.

”It’s them,” Fat Wang whispered to Ye Qing. ”This group is rather notorious in the North’s tomb-raiding circle. Their leader is called Nine-Fingers Wu Yong. The old guy’s six or seven decades old, and he’s been robbing tombs for fifty years. With his rich experience, he can easily bypass any traps.”

”Why is he called Nine-Fingers Wu Yong?” Ye Qing asked quietly.

”Because he only has nine fingers,” Fat Wang murmured. ”Word is, he lost one finger when he was young, bitten off by a corpse while robbing a tomb, hence the nickname Nine-Fingers.”

”Oh.” Ye Qing nodded. As they spoke, they had already approached the four men.

”Fat Wang, the Ninth Master sent us to pick you up!” The lead man came over, took the bags from Ye Qing and Fat Wang, opened the car door at the back, and gestured for them to get in.

”Ninth Master is really polite. We could have visited him ourselves!” Fat Wang chuckled.

The man didn’t say more, watching as the two got in the car. He then followed them inside. The four men sat in four seats, neatly surrounding Ye Qing and Fat Wang.

Ye Qing frowned slightly at the situation, instinct telling him that something was off. However, he wasn’t too concerned because he could already tell these four men knew martial arts, but their skills were lackluster. If it came to a fight, Ye Qing was confident he could take them down within five seconds.

The two cars drove out of the airport, heading down a path towards the outskirts. After approximately thirty kilometers, the vehicles had reached a desolate wilderness. Yet, the cars continued moving along the barren road, showing no intention of taking a main road.

Fat Wang sat beside Ye Qing, saying nothing as he noticed the cold gazes of the men around them. It was clear he was somewhat intimidated by this group.

After following the barren road for another five or six kilometers, they finally arrived outside a secluded forest. The two cars stopped simultaneously, and the four men in the vehicles pulled out guns, aiming at Ye Qing. Four dark gun barrels pointed directly at Ye Qing.

”Hey, what are you doing?” Fat Wang shouted immediately, ”Is this how the Ninth Master treats guests?”

”Fat Wang, you’re the Ninth Master’s guest. But he isn’t!” The lead man coldly stared at Ye Qing and said in a deep voice, ”You’re here to visit the Ninth Master and work with him, fine. But we don’t welcome outsiders here.”

”He’s not an outsider. He provided the information about the tomb!” Fat Wang exclaimed.

”To us, you’re the one who provided the tomb information, not him!” The man arrogantly looked at Ye Qing and said, ”So, he’s not someone we welcome. Yet, he knows too much, so he mustn’t be left alive!”

”Damn it! Isn’t this twisting the facts?” Fat Wang was furious. ”What do you mean I’m the one, not him? He gave me the information, and I told you all. In the end, he gave the info. Now you want to kill him to take a bigger share? I tell you, you can kill him, but if this gets out, the Ninth Master’s reputation will be ruined. Then who would dare do business with him again?”

The man frowned slightly, gave Fat Wang a cold look, and said in a deep voice, ”Fat Wang, are you saying you plan to expose this matter?”

”Right...” Fat Wang started, but as soon as he uttered the word, two gun barrels pointed at his head, silencing him immediately.

”What, you... you want to kill me too?” Fat Wang said in a deep voice, growing nervous about the situation.

”The Ninth Master said you’re his friend, and he can work with you. But those who aren’t his friends can’t stay.” The man coldly looked at Fat Wang and said, ”So now I’m asking you, do you want to be the Ninth Master’s friend or his enemy?”

”This...” Fat Wang looked at the two dark gun barrels and said, ”I... of course, I’m the Ninth Master’s friend. Otherwise, why would I come to find him?”

”Since you’re a friend of the Ninth Master, we’ll give you a chance to prove it.” One of the men turned the gun around, handing it to Fat Wang. ”Take care of the outsider you brought, and you’ll be the Ninth Master’s friend. Then we can rob the tomb together and share the wealth.”

Fat Wang was instantly enraged. He realized these bastards wanted to use him as a tool to kill. They were forcing him to kill Ye Qing so that even if the incident spread, others would say Fat Wang did it, not them. These guys wanted to commit the sin and keep their reputation clean!

”Damn it! You think I’m stupid? If I kill him, my reputation will stink!?” Fat Wang yelled. ”You bastards want to kill him and use me as the tool? You really think I’m an idiot?”

”You don’t have to kill him!” the man said. ”But if you don’t, you’re not the Ninth Master’s friend. And if you’re not the Ninth Master’s friend, don’t blame us for being rude!”

The man’s implication was clear — if Fat Wang didn’t act, they’d kill both of them, which put pressure on Fat Wang to kill Ye Qing.

Fat Wang was at a loss, unsure what to do in this situation.

”Sigh, this is really boring!” At this moment, Ye Qing, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up. The four men immediately turned their heads to look at him, but before their eyes could settle on Ye Qing, the guns in their hands were already snatched away by him.

Given Ye Qing’s current strength, unless facing a peak master, ordinary people were no match for him. As for these four, they posed no threat at all. Snatching their guns from them was child’s play for Ye Qing, with no difficulty at all. Ye Qing was just curious about these people’s intentions, and seeing Fat Wang so conflicted trying to protect him warmed Ye Qing’s heart. Although Fat Wang was often unreliable, he was loyal!

”You...” The four men were dumbfounded, their guns suddenly taken from them. They never expected the guns they’d held one second ago could be snatched away so quickly. Ye Qing’s speed was beyond imagination.

Seeing Ye Qing take the guns, Fat Wang immediately gained confidence, punching the man who had spoken earlier in the face. Then he rushed up, hitting the guy repeatedly while cursing, ”Damn you! Do you not know what kind of temper I, Fat Lord, have? Daring to use someone else to kill, to frame me? Damn it, Fat Lord is so good to you, contacted you as soon as I got the news to make money together, and now you try to screw me over? **** What the hell? Nine-Fingers Wu Yong, that old bastard, I’ll settle with him later!”

The man fought back angrily, suddenly pushing Fat Wang aside and roaring, ”Damn it, let’s fight!”

The other three immediately charged at Ye Qing, trying to grab the guns back. These people were indeed ruthless, intent on sacrificing one man, determined to maintain control of the situation.

This approach might work on Fat Wang, but Ye Qing was entirely undeterred. Seeing the four attack, Ye Qing nonchalantly threw four punches, sending them all reeling back without even needing to use the guns.

The four were all struck by Ye Qing, immediately pacified. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to fight back, but they had been beaten so thoroughly by Ye Qing, they had no strength left. One even lost a few teeth, with blood streaming from his nose and mouth, quite badly injured.

”Who... who exactly are you?” The leading man looked at Ye Qing in horror, finally realizing this time he had encountered a tough character.

”I forgot to introduce you,” Fat Wang proudly looked at the four men and said, ”This is Ye Qing, the direct disciple of the Northern Fist King Li Changqing! A martial arts master!”

The four men were dumbfounded. They knew some martial arts but not much, and naturally understood what a martial arts master meant. Someone like that would have no trouble dealing with them.

”Fat Wang, you... you bring someone who can fight to raid a tomb...” The lead man said indignantly, ”You’re breaking the rules!”

Fat Wang was furious too, shouting back, ”I bring someone who can fight so what!? You’re breaking the rules by killing the one who provided the information!”
