Urban Martial Saint

Shen Qianyue was waiting inside the villa, and when he saw Corpse Ghost Dragon come in like this, he was greatly astonished.

”Master, these four people are clearly not your match, why don’t you just kill them directly?” Shen Qianyue whispered, ”If you kill them, not only can you seize the Sun Shooting Bow, but the Inner Strength of those three Peak Masters is exceptionally strong. If Master absorbs their power, your strength would definitely be greatly restored!”

Corpse Ghost Dragon didn’t answer his question, he shut the door behind him and walked all the way into the inner room before he heavily sat down on the ground.

”Do you think I don’t want to kill them?” Coming here, Corpse Ghost Dragon finally spoke, he looked angrily at the door outside, and said in a deep voice, ”My power is entirely constrained by the Purple Lotus Karma Fire. As soon as I release my power, it gets burned away by the Purple Lotus Karma Fire immediately, I simply cannot use it. Didn’t you notice I just went out and didn’t use my own power, I only used the Purple Lotus Karma Fire to scare them away?”

”So that’s the reason,” Shen Qianyue suddenly understood. No wonder Corpse Ghost Dragon rushed out and obviously had already reached Helian Tiehua’s side, but didn’t kill him. It turned out to be for this reason. He couldn’t use his own power, he could only use the Purple Lotus Karma Fire to scare people.

”This Purple Lotus Karma Fire is really so hateful!” Corpse Ghost Dragon said angrily, ”Scorching the bones and searing the body, unless the Purple Lotus Flower is burned out, the Purple Lotus Karma Fire cannot be extinguished. If I insist on exerting power, it would cost at least a third of my current strength to completely burn out this Purple Lotus Karma Fire. Unless absolutely necessary, I wouldn’t want to do such a thing!”

”Oh.” Shen Qianyue looked at the Broom Star beside, and curiously asked: ”Master, why do you want us to capture the enlightened monk then?”

”The Purple Lotus Karma Fire can be considered a Secret Technique of the Buddhist Sect. If an ordinary person gets contaminated by the Purple Lotus Karma Fire, they naturally find it difficult to remove. The best solution is to transfer this Purple Lotus Karma Fire to others, to avoid the suffering of fire burning the body,” Corpse Ghost Dragon paused, his voice low, ”however, the Purple Lotus Karma Fire can’t just be transferred to anyone casually. The Buddhist Sect has a Secret Technique to transfer this Purple Lotus Karma Fire. Just so, I know this Secret Technique too. But the crucial point is, to transfer the Purple Lotus Karma Fire, it can only be transferred to enlightened monks. Ordinary people simply can’t withstand this Buddhist Fire!”

”I see!” Shen Qianyue suddenly understood, ”Then can this child with an Innate Buddha Heart be used?”

”That would be perfectly suitable!” Corpse Ghost Dragon laughed, ”However, transferring the power to him will take some time. Also, this child with an Innate Buddha Heart, I have to research him carefully, and that will require some time. Qianyue, immediately arrange for us to hide somewhere else. Once I’ve handled everything, it will be time for the people of Shenchuan City to be defeated!”

”Yes!” Shen Qianyue was overjoyed and swiftly got up to arrange the transfer.

Corpse Ghost Dragon turned his head, coldly smiling at Broom Star, his face filled with joy and excitement. The sorcery he practiced was essentially a method to transform the human body. If he could fully integrate the Daoist Heart and Buddha Heart, he could then draw from the strengths of both Buddhist and Taoist practices. By then, he might be able to break through the restrictions of the Demon Hideout Cave, reach the side of the coffin, obtain the things left by the Great Demon King, and perhaps even truly glimpse the secrets of Longevity.

”The Karma Fire doesn’t exhaust, nor does the evil karma disappear,” Broom Star suddenly spoke softly with his eyes still closed, ”Benefactor, even if you could transfer the Karma Fire one day, the karmic thoughts you’ve committed remain within your body. Karmic Retribution, the Endless Cycle, the sea of suffering is boundless, turn back to shore!”

Corpse Ghost Dragon’s expression changed, he stared at Broom Star for a long time, then suddenly laughed, ”Little guy, you truly have an Innate Buddha Heart, you speak quite smoothly. However, these words of yours might deceive others but can’t deceive me. I knew someone before who said the same to me, but do you know what happened in the end?”

Broom Star looked at Corpse Ghost Dragon for a while, then suddenly smiled slightly, without asking more questions.

Corpse Ghost Dragon was stunned by his smile, and curiously asked, ”Why are you smiling?”

Broom Star softly said: ”I am smiling at what the benefactor fears in his heart.”

”What can I fear?” Corpse Ghost Dragon glared, ”Now my power is Invincible Under the Heavens, as soon as I integrate Daoist Heart and Buddha Heart, I’ll be absolutely the unrivaled first person in history. What should I fear? Tell me, what do I have to fear?”

Broom Star softly said: ”What the benefactor fears is the words said to you by the person you knew back then!”

Corpse Ghost Dragon’s expression suddenly changed, he stared intently at Broom Star, and said in a deep voice: ”You... who are you really?”

Broom Star’s face was calm, ”I am just myself.”

”Then... how do you know the words he said to me?” Corpse Ghost Dragon trembled.

”Buddhist teachings are the same, the words he said to the benefactor, I will also tell you,” Broom Star softly said, ”Benefactor, those who often act unjustly are bound to destroy themselves. The sins you committed today are unforgivable even with a hundred deaths. If the retribution comes someday, everything will turn to dust.”

The Corpse Ghost Dragon was suddenly stunned, looking at Broom Star in amazement, unable to recover for a long while. What Broom Star said had been spoken to him by someone else before, exactly in the same words. And the person who spoke these words was the True Buddha of Brahmanism!

True Buddha claimed to perceive all heavenly secrets. When the Corpse Ghost Dragon was over two hundred years old, he sought out the True Buddha. It was then that the True Buddha spoke these words to him, and precisely because of these words, the Corpse Ghost Dragon felt immense fear. In the past hundred years, he has been desperately trying to become the number one in the world, to achieve undying immortality.

Unexpectedly, a hundred years later, he heard the same words from the mouth of a child. Broom Star’s words involuntarily made him feel fear again inside.

”Master, everything is arranged!” The door was suddenly pushed open, and Shen Qianyue came in. He didn’t notice the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s oddity, as Corpse Ghost Dragon was surrounded by purple flames, making it impossible to see his expression.

Shen Qianyue said: ”We can leave now, the new place I have arranged is quite hidden and far from Shenchuan City, Master, you can rest assured to dispel this Purple Lotus Karma Fire.”

Only then did Corpse Ghost Dragon come back to his senses, he gave Broom Star a deep look, nodded slowly, and said: ”Take this child with you, and follow me.”

”Alright!” Shen Qianyue came over, picked up Broom Star, still unaware that Broom Star had conversed with Corpse Ghost Dragon.

Shen Tianjun and the other three escaped from the place where Corpse Ghost Dragon lived and went directly back to Shenchuan City. Shortly after they returned, they received news that Ye Qing had also brought Li Lianshan back.

Ye Qing drove alone in pursuit and caught up with the car carrying Li Lianshan. Driving were two ordinary martial artists, and for Ye Qing, it was no challenge at all; he easily rescued Li Lianshan.

This incident made Ye Qing wary, and he immediately had his friends here take refuge with the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. Because he didn’t know if Corpse Ghost Dragon and his people would strike at them again.

As soon as they settled down in the hall, everyone recounted the events regarding Broom Star to Ye Qing. Listening to what happened on the Sha Men side, Ye Qing was shocked. He didn’t expect the Bloody Monk to be controlled by the Heart Demon, and most crucially, Broom Star had been kidnapped.

”What is the identity of this child?” Shen Tianjun asked, ”Why did Corpse Ghost Dragon go to such lengths to abduct him?”

Ye Qing was silent for a moment and said, ”I think Corpse Ghost Dragon did not want to abduct him, rather, they aim to disrupt Shenchuan City!”

”Why do you say that?” Everyone asked in surprise.

”Broom Star is a child I adopted and placed with the Blood Robe Sect Leader for care. Fundamentally, both the Blood Robe Sect Leader and I care for this child, which involves two forces.” Ye Qing said gravely: ”Corpse Ghost Dragon abducting this child could at least stir up two forces in Shenchuan City, enough to cause chaos here. Moreover, I suspect their real target is the Blood Robe Sect Leader, and the child was just taken along the way!”

Ye Qing’s guess was mostly correct; Shen Qianyue’s real targets were the Bloody Monk or the Wolf Monk. However, since he couldn’t capture either, he took Broom Star, intending to disrupt Shenchuan City.

”So, their aim was to draw out the Heart Demon from the Blood Robe Sect Leader, to reduce one Peak Master on our side?” Ding Lianshun frowned deeply and said: ”Isn’t it a bit excessive? They lost a Peak Master too when they came over!”

”Thus, I think they have other motives!” Ye Qing frowned deeply.

”Do you think it might be related to the Purple Lotus Karma Fire?” Bai Li Xi suddenly asked: ”The Purple Lotus Karma Fire on Corpse Ghost Dragon hasn’t extinguished yet, what he ought to do most now is find a way to extinguish this Purple Lotus Karma Fire. Since this Purple Lotus Karma Fire is a secret technique from the Buddhist Sect, they definitely need to capture Buddhist Sect masters to deal with this matter!”

Everyone exchanged looks and nodded, Shen Tianjun said solemnly: ”This is indeed a possibility!”

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat, if indeed their target was someone from the Buddhist Sect, then the kidnapping of Broom Star this time is premeditated, isn’t it? Broom Star understands Buddhist texts, comparable to an enlightened monk!

”But, why is Corpse Ghost Dragon’s condition not like what Master said?” Ning Qianshu said in a deep voice: ”Master said the Purple Lotus Karma Fire scorches the body, Corpse Ghost Dragon should rest at least ten days. Yet, when you were there earlier, Corpse Ghost Dragon could still make a move, this is very abnormal. Could it be that Corpse Ghost Dragon wasn’t burned by the Purple Lotus Karma Fire at all?”
