Urban Martial Saint

Everyone looked at Ye Qing, who was momentarily stunned and said, ”I... I help out? Help with what?”

”Don’t ask what you need to help with first, just say if you’re willing or not?” Shijia said, ”For everyone’s safety, to deal with the Corpse Ghost Dragon, to maintain world peace, are you willing to make a little sacrifice?”

If someone else said this, Ye Qing would definitely agree without hesitation. But coming from Shijia, it made him particularly uneasy. This old guy surely has no good intentions!

”Hey, are you gonna help or not?” Shijia called out to Ye Qing, ”Everyone’s waiting for your answer. Are you helping or not? Give us a definite answer. If not, then forget it, we’ll just wait to die, no need to keep everyone waiting on you!”

Ye Qing cursed Shijia madly in his heart. This old guy is obviously settling a personal vendetta, deliberately putting Ye Qing in a difficult spot. Everyone was staring at Ye Qing, he couldn’t refuse. But the things this old guy asked — were they humanly possible?

”Help... help with what?” Ye Qing asked in a low voice.

”Don’t worry about that, just say if you’ll help or not!” Shijia said.

”This...” Ye Qing was utterly helpless, and finally could only nod and say, ”Tell me, if it’s doable, I’ll definitely do it!”

”That’s what you said!” Shijia laughed, ”This task, you’ll definitely be able to do it, it’s a piece of cake for you!”

This old guy, going to the Northeast once, learned quite a bit of the dialect there.

”What exactly is it?” Shen Tianjun asked, ”Is it very difficult? Can’t we do it?”

”You guys are not very suitable.” Shijia shook his head, took out a tattered piece of cloth from his body, and said, ”This is a map. With this map, you can find the place where Patriarch Bodhidharma entered nirvana. Once you find the place, you’ll definitely find a way to deal with him!”

”You... you didn’t find Patriarch Bodhidharma’s place of nirvana?” Everyone asked in shock.

”Nonsense, how could I have found it?” Shijia glared, ”We squeezed into a train back to Xiaolin Temple, took time to find this map. Then squeezed back on a train, two days and nights were gone, how would we have had time to find the place? If we went to find the place, by the time we got back, you might all be dead!”

Though Shijia’s words weren’t pleasant, everyone had to admit the old guy was right. If he didn’t come back in time, they really wouldn’t be able to deal with the Corpse Ghost Dragon this time.

”Why didn’t you take a plane?” Ning Qianshu suddenly asked.

”That’s a funny question!” Shijia glared at him, ”It’s hard enough to skip fare on a train, how could you skip fare on a plane?”

”...” Everyone shut their mouths, indeed, never heard of skipping plane fare.

”You mean you want me to find the place where Patriarch Bodhidharma entered nirvana, to find a way to deal with the Corpse Ghost Dragon?” Ye Qing looked at the piece of cloth, frowning slightly, ”Then what about tonight? The Corpse Ghost Dragon is coming to kill tonight, if I go look for this method now, it’s too late!”

”I know it’s too late, that’s why I came today.” Shijia said, ”You don’t have to worry about the Corpse Ghost Dragon. With me here, he won’t break through Shenchuan City temporarily. Once you find a way to deal with him, we can destroy him completely!”

”You can hold off the Corpse Ghost Dragon?” Ye Qing’s eyes widened. Didn’t they say last time that even Shijia couldn’t fight him?

”What? Surprised?” Shijia looked at Ye Qing, ”Don’t you trust me, or do you have too much faith in him?”

Ye Qing opened his mouth but didn’t know how to answer.

”Master has a way to deal with the Corpse Ghost Dragon, that’s great!” Shen Tianjun said, ”Since master has a method, why do we need to find the place where Patriarch Bodhidharma entered nirvana? Can’t we unite and slay the Corpse Ghost Dragon?”

”I can hold him off, that doesn’t mean I can kill him!” Shijia waved his hand, ”You’ve got to separate the primary from secondary here!”

”Is there... is there a difference?” Ye Qing said speechlessly.

”Of course, there’s a difference. I can stop him from killing people. But I don’t have the ability to kill him!” Shijia said.

”So, no matter what, we have to find the place of Patriarch Bodhidharma’s nirvana, right?” Ye Qing looked at Shijia, ”Tell me honestly, is there any danger where Patriarch Bodhidharma entered nirvana?”

”Why are you asking that?” Shijia said.

”Just answer me, don’t worry about why I’m asking!” Ye Qing said.

”Um...” Shijia scratched his head, speaking with a hint of embarrassment, ”It does have some danger, haha...”

”What do you mean by ’some’?” Ye Qing immediately widened his eyes, ”You’re asking me to find the place where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away, you must at least tell me about its situation first. You can’t just send me to my death!”

”How do I explain this?” Shijia said, ”Originally, there was no danger at the place where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away. However, because Bodhidharma left behind the main Secret Technique of the Buddhist Sect there, that place was later sealed off by people from the Demon Sect. They built a Great Tomb using many evil methods to trap that location. So, to enter the place where Bodhidharma passed away, you must pass through that Great Tomb. And that tomb, it was designed by an ancient master of mechanics, which... makes it somewhat dangerous!”

”Damn!” Ye Qing couldn’t help but curse, as he had expected, this old geezer Shijia was asking him to do something far from easy.

Shijia said, ”Although, your strength isn’t weak now. Take this map, be careful when you go in, maybe you’ll still come out alive!”

Ye Qing didn’t speak, but internally he raised two middle fingers to Shijia. The words of this old geezer were not trustworthy at all. He had spoken lightly, but Ye Qing could be sure the danger inside was certainly not simple!

Huangfu Ziyu suddenly came over, ”Ye Qing, I’ll go with you!”

”No way!” Ye Qing and Shijia shouted simultaneously.

”Why?” Huangfu Ziyu frowned at Shijia, ”I can’t just watch him go on this adventure alone.”

”I know you two have a good relationship, but now isn’t the time for a little hissy fit.” Shijia said, ”The Great Tomb has restrictions, the strength of whoever enters it will trigger strong mechanisms. To put it simply, if a person with Peak Master strength goes in, the mechanisms inside target Peak Masters. If it’s a Top-Level Master, the mechanisms will exhibit Top Level force. Thus, the weaker one’s strength, actually the better.”

”Why is it like this?” Everyone wondered, this mechanism was too bizarre.

”This designer was a genius; he designed this mechanism with no inherent power supply. When outside people enter, it absorbs and uses their strength to power the mechanisms. So the stronger you are, the stronger the mechanisms become!” Shijia waved his hand leisurely, ”Now you know why I didn’t go in personally, right?”

The crowd ignored him directly. Huangfu Ziyu said solemnly, ”My strength isn’t strong either, without the Sun Shooting Bow, I don’t even have Top-Level Master strength!”

”I know, but you’re a woman.” Shijia said.

”Is this gender discrimination?” Huangfu Ziyu’s almond eyes grew wide, clearly angered.

Shijia said, ”Well, it’s not gender discrimination, but the issue is, that is the place where Bodhidharma passed away, a Holy Land of the Buddhist Sect. A woman going in isn’t quite appropriate!”

”Are you kidding me?” Huangfu Ziyu said urgently, ”You can eat meat, but you talk to me about Buddhist rules?”

”My eating meat is my business, I violate the Buddhist rules, but it doesn’t mean you can too.” Shijia said, ”I’m not saying anything to you, but if you go in, and any accident happens causing Ye Qing to fail to acquire Bodhidharma’s Secret Technique, then we’d have no solution against the Corpse Ghost Dragon. Can you bear this responsibility?”

”You... You’re just fear-mongering!” Huangfu Ziyu said anxiously.

Shijia shrugged, ”Many things are better believed than not. Huangfu Ziyu, I still advise you not to go!”

Seeing Huangfu Ziyu wanted to speak, Ye Qing quickly said, ”Ziyu, don’t worry, I promise I’ll be fine!”

Huangfu Ziyu looked at Ye Qing, eyes slightly red, but finally nodded slightly and said softly, ”Make sure to be careful.”

”Mm!” Ye Qing nodded vigorously, then looked at Shijia and suddenly asked, ”If I bring someone weaker than myself into this Great Tomb, will it be dangerous?”

Shijia said, ”No problem, as long as you two don’t stand too close together, the mechanism’s power is separate.”

”That’s good!” Ye Qing nodded. He was considering bringing Handsome Fatty Wang to find this place. Shijia had just mentioned that outside was a Great Tomb with many mechanisms. In tomb-robbing, Handsome Fatty Wang was the expert!

”If that’s the case, then I’ll arrange things and prepare to set off!” Ye Qing said.

”No rush,” Shijia waved slowly, ”Now the Corpse Ghost Dragon is watching Shenchuan City. If you run out now, it will definitely come after you first. Wait until night, after fighting it, then sneak out quietly unnoticed, he won’t find you!”

Ye Qing stared at Shijia for a while, ”Are you really that confident you can repel the Corpse Ghost Dragon?”

”Can’t kill it, if not even repel it, what am I doing in Shenchuan City?” Shijia glared, ”Do you think I came to die?”

Everyone went speechless for a moment, Shijia’s words truly had no filter. Yet, seeing his wily appearance, they actually believed him. Without full confidence, he probably wouldn’t have come to die, right?
