Urban Martial Saint

Hearing what Aomuhan said, Chen San knew he hadn’t taken his words to heart. Chen San didn’t try to persuade Aomuhan further, but signaled to Chen Si with a glance to keep an eye on Xu Cunxiao.

In fact, in dealing with the people from Western Province, what Chen San was more concerned about was Xu Cunxiao. Although Wang Tian’an was the leader of the group, Xu Cunxiao was definitely the brains of the outfit, a person who absolutely should not be underestimated.

Compared to Wang Tian’an, who wasn’t as cunning, he seemed much easier to deal with.

Chen Si understood Chen San’s intentions. Although she didn’t say anything, she had already quietly left to take care of the matter.

Aomuhan kept ranting about dealing with Wang Tian’an and Ye Qing in the room. In his view, since Ao Wuchang from Shu had personally come to Eastern Province, that Wang Tian’an and Ye Qing were simply not worth mentioning. Therefore, he wanted to quickly take care of these people, accomplish a great feat, and show his father, Ao Wuchang. At the same time, he also wanted to use this opportunity to make a name for himself in the Southern Six Provinces and impress the beauties there with the skills of the only son of Ao Wuchang from Shu. Aomuhan’s ambitions were actually not small; unfortunately, he had too little experience, and his ambitions seemed rather naive.

Chen San didn’t pay attention to Aomuhan, and seeing him like this, he was even more reluctant to let Aomuhan go out and do things on his own. Though he disapproved of Aomuhan’s behavior, Ao Wuchang was his sworn father, and he had an obligation, both emotionally and morally, to look out for Aomuhan.

”Ye Qing, do you really have the abilities you claim to have? Are you truly worthy of such high regard from the Huangfu Household’s lady?” Chen San clenched his fists slowly and murmured to himself in his heart, ”I hope you won’t disappoint me, otherwise, the Southern Six Provinces will lack challenge!”

Ye Qing instructed Zhao Chengshuang to take the corpses back first, and then it would be up to the forensic examiner for further identification. However, after looking at them, Ye Qing already had a good idea, and the forensics’ findings were no longer important to him.

Ye Qing didn’t go home, but instead rushed directly to the Splendid Gold and Jade. Chen Jun had arrived there a while ago, and when he saw Ye Qing coming, he hurried over and said, ”Big Brother, there really was an incident here last night. Several piles of gold dust in the basement warehouse have been scraped off, and there are also bloodstains on some of the walls—quite obvious ones!”

”Show me,” Ye Qing said with a deep voice.

Chen Jun immediately led Ye Qing to the basement where there was a large warehouse used for storage. A lot of gold dust was kept here for daily needs. Now, several bags of gold dust were clearly torn apart, with the gold dust scattered on the ground. And on the walls here, there were several obvious bloodstains.

Ye Qing furrowed his brows and asked, ”Who was watching over this place last night?”

”Our basement is usually unguarded,” Chen Jun replied. ”It’s just gold dust stored here, and it’s not valuable enough to steal. Besides, the only access to the basement is from the backstage, which is restricted to our own people. Outsiders can’t get in, so we usually don’t guard it.”

Ye Qing said, ”If outsiders can’t get in, then what’s going on here?”

”This...” Chen Jun scratched his head, truly at a loss himself about what had happened. If it weren’t for Ye Qing asking him to take a look, he wouldn’t have known that something had occurred here. The sight of the blood had been a real shock to him as well.

Ye Qing slowly walked over to the wall, touched the bloodstains, and immediately frowned. The bloodstains had already dried up a long time ago, and it was clear that they weren’t simply stuck onto the wall but had been applied after drying. Ye Qing frowned and turned to Chen Jun, asking, ”What time did everyone leave here last night?”

”Our place usually closes around five in the morning,” Chen Jun replied. ”However, the backstage crew tends to leave by four in the morning. After all, most people should be resting by that time, and hardly anyone would continue to stay.”

”The person died around three in the morning, and by about four in the morning, there was no one left here. And these bloodstains obviously were applied to the wall after drying.” Ye Qing muttered a few words to himself; in his mind, he already had a rough understanding of the situation. Actually, the people from Snake Form Gate didn’t die here at Splendid Gold and Jade. These bloodstains and the gold dust had been deliberately applied after their deaths to fabricate the scene, clearly framing Ye Qing.

”Big Brother, what are you talking about?” Standing nearby, Chen Jun, who hadn’t heard clearly, asked in surprise.

Ye Qing was just about to answer when suddenly, a noisy commotion came from outside. Ye Qing’s brow twitched slightly, and he said in a deep voice, ”What’s happening outside?”

”I’ll take a look,” Chen Jun immediately turned and walked towards the door, but before he could reach the entrance to the basement, the door was kicked open. Snake, leading a group of Snake Form Gate members, burst in from the outside.

As these people rushed in and ran straight to Ye Qing’s warehouse, seeing everything on the walls, the Snake Form Gate members immediately started clamoring.

”Ye, what do you have to say for yourself now?”

”Our Snake Form Gate’s men were indeed killed by you. Look at this gold dust, look at these bloodstains, they match exactly with the gold dust and blood on our brothers from the Snake Form Gate!”

”Third Brother is really sharp, knew Ye Qing would come back to destroy the evidence, and had us follow this Ye guy here. Now look, the evidence is irrefutable, Mr. Ye, I’d like to see how you’re going to deny it now!”

”What’s the use of talking to him, just kill him straight away!”

The members of Snake Form Gate looked righteously indignant as they roared and charged at Ye Qing, intent on taking his life.

”What’s going on? What’s going on? What’s going on?” Chen Jun shouted loudly as he and his men met the charge, clashing immediately with the men from Snake Form Gate.

Ye Qing frowned, these people arrived so timely. With the temperament of the Snake Form Gate folks, explaining to them would be useless.

”Ye, you owe a blood debt!” Snake, with a furious glare, bellowed, ”What does it matter if you have many subordinates? The brothers of Snake Form Gate will not die in vain. Today, even at the cost of my life, I will kill you to avenge my brothers!”

Snake charged at Ye Qing with a roar. Ye Qing dodged swiftly and said in a deep voice, ”Snake, listen to me, I really didn’t do this, I was framed. Take a closer look at the bloodstains...”

”Quit your fucking babbling, if you’ve got the guts, fight me!” Snake roared as he repeatedly struck at Ye Qing. However, the gap in their strength was far too great; how could Snake be a match for Ye Qing? After a while, he couldn’t even touch the hem of Ye Qing’s clothes and ended up gasping for breath instead.

”Ye, are you fucking a man or not!” Snake raged, ”What skill is there in always dodging? If you’ve got the guts, fight me, fight me!”

The people from Snake Form Gate were also yelling, and Chen Jun’s men, being outnumbered, were at a disadvantage.

Seeing the situation, Ye Qing frowned and said in a stern voice, ”Snake, I’m telling you again, I was really framed. I will give you an explanation for this incident. Have your brothers stop fighting for now, or I won’t be polite anymore!”

”Who the fuck wants you to be polite, if you’ve got the ability, then kill all of us!” Snake roared as he charged again, looking like he was determined to fight to the death with Ye Qing.

Ye Qing became enraged, too. He grabbed Snake’s neck and delivered a forceful kick to his stomach. Snake was kicked back several steps, retreating into a room behind him.

Ye Qing didn’t hesitate and quickly followed into the room. The crowd outside only heard a ruckus of crashing sounds from inside. The followers of Snake Form Gate immediately wanted to help, but Chen Jun’s men firmly stopped them.

At that moment, Hou San also arrived with a group of reinforcements. Seeing the situation, without a word, they joined the fray, encircling the men from Snake Form Gate in the middle.

The members of Snake Form Gate roared in fury, but outnumbered, they didn’t stand a chance in the fight. Moreover, with Snake battling Ye Qing inside the room, it appeared that Snake was certainly getting the worst of it. Soon enough, several of them started considering retreat, clearly frightened.

This standoff lasted nearly ten minutes before Snake was suddenly flung from the room, his mouth dripping with fresh blood, obviously severely wounded.

Ye Qing emerged unscathed from the room and said in a deep voice, ”Today, I’ll spare your life. Behave yourself from now on, I will give you an answer to this matter. But don’t come causing trouble here anymore, otherwise, I won’t let you off so easily next time!”

Snake looked at Ye Qing with a venomous gaze, teeth clenched in hate. But obviously at a disadvantage, he dared not retort. Wiping the blood from his lip, he ground out, ”Let’s go!”

Snake turned and led the members of Snake Form Gate away.

Chen Jun wanted to pursue them but was stopped by Ye Qing. Watching the retreating backs of Snake Form Gate, he began to frown, sensing the situation was becoming increasingly complicated.

”Big Brother, we’re just letting them leave like this?” Chen Jun said anxiously. ”This group won’t listen to reason and will only cause trouble everywhere. I say, it might have been better to lock them up, so we could properly investigate this situation.”

”Exactly, Big Brother, we don’t even need to be the ones to detain them. They came to our turf causing trouble, simply call the police for creating a disturbance and they’ll arrest them,” Hou San chimed in.

”No need!” Ye Qing waved his hand, speaking forcefully, ”Right now, the most important thing is to clarify this matter and stop them from viewing us as enemies. If we have the police arrest them, it will only complicate things further and be even more unfavorable for us. Alright, you two stop worrying about this, I will personally investigate. You two, clean up here and ask Chengshuang to send a few officers to collect evidence, so they can testify on our behalf that this isn’t the primary crime scene!”
