Urban Martial Saint

People from Western Province looked at each other, their anger boiling inside, but at this moment, they really didn’t dare to entertain any other thoughts.

Wang Tian’an walked into the living room leisurely, completely ignoring everyone else, confident that none of them would dare to touch him. Becuase, he knew the power of the Heart-devouring Bug, which no one can endure!

”Alright, there’s no need to be so unhappy,” Wang Tian’an said with a smile, ”Rest assured, as long as you work well for me, I’ll feed the Heart-devouring Bugs inside you regularly every half month, and they definitely won’t act up.”

Everyone lowered their heads. Although Wang Tian’an said so, who could feel happy with the Heart-devouring Bug implanted within them? It felt as if a time bomb was placed inside their bodies, contributing to everyone’s extremely gloomy mood.

But Wang Tian’an didn’t care about their feelings; he plopped down on the sofa and addressed everyone loudly, ”Third Brother, update me on the situation in Eastern Province. It’s been over three hours, Huangfu Ziyu’s territories should have been completely taken over by now. Even if we suffered a loss at Shen Family Manor tonight, it doesn’t matter. As long as we’ve taken over all the territories in Eastern Province, we still come out ahead!”

The ”Third Brother” Wang Tian’an mentioned was Xu Cunxiao. He hesitated for a moment before replying in a low voice, ”Big brother, we haven’t called to check on the situation in Eastern Province, so I don’t know the details.”

Wang Tian’an immediately furrowed his brows and said sternly, ”You’ve all been back for such a long time, and you don’t know what’s happening in Eastern Province? How exactly are you handling things!”

Everyone was embarrassed; indeed, since leaving the Shen Family Manor, they had been preoccupied with Wang Tian’an’s affairs. Knowing his identity, they were even more infuriated and didn’t pay attention to the matters in Eastern Province; hence, no one made any calls to inquire. Now that Wang Tian’an suddenly brought up the issue, they had no idea how to respond.

”What are you standing there for?” Seeing everyone with their heads down and unmoving, Wang Tian’an was even more enraged and bellowed, ”Don’t you quickly make a call to find out, or must I do it myself?”

Only then did the rest snap out of their trance. Although they were very dissatisfied with Wang Tian’an, intimidated by the power of the Heart-devouring Bug, no one dared to rebel. A few promptly went out to make calls about the matter, while the others, not daring to make eye contact with Wang Tian’an, stood with their heads down in the living room. Their mood was very somber, wishing they could gang up and kill Wang Tian’an, but remembering the pain of the Heart-devouring Bug consuming their innards, they shuddered at the thought and didn’t dare to entertain any ideas.

Xu Cunxiao also made a call, but he ran back quickly, his expression not looking very good.

”How did it go?” Seeing his expression, Wang Tian’an asked with concern, ”Hasn’t the territory been completely taken over yet? What’s with these people? Huangfu Ziyu is not in Eastern Province, and she was completely unprepared. Is this thing really so hard to do? Your subordinates are truly...”

Wang Tian’an’s words were cut off as Xu Cunxiao walked up to him and handed over the phone, saying, ”Big brother, you’d better listen for yourself.”

Wang Tian’an frowned slightly, glanced at Xu Cunxiao, and took the phone. There was silence on the other end, and after looking at Xu Cunxiao again, Wang Tian’an asked in a deep voice, ”What’s the matter?”

”Wang Tian’an!” A majestic voice came from the other side of the phone, completely unexpected to Wang Tian’an.

”Who are you?” Wang Tian’an’s face changed slightly; he sensed something was amiss. He could tell that this person was definitely not one of their men.

”Who am I?” A loud laugh came from the other end of the line, ”By rights, you should be calling me ’Young Master’!”

Wang Tian’an’s expression changed dramatically; he furrowed his brows tightly and said through clenched teeth, ”Chen San!?”

”It seems you haven’t forgotten that you once served as a household slave in our Chen Family,” said the person on the other end of the phone, none other than White Horse Chen San, who laughed heartily, ”No wonder, a person like you might be able to betray their master, but can never shed the inherent servility.”

Wang Tian’an’s face turned icy cold as he replied sternly, ”Chen San, sparing you and your sister all those years ago was my biggest oversight. But this time, you won’t be so lucky. Once I’ve dealt with the underground forces of the Southern Six Provinces, I’ll personally go to Ludong to take your head and ensure the complete extinction of the Chen Family!”

”I don’t think that will be necessary,” Chen San said with a laugh, ”You’re still thinking of handling the Southern Six Provinces’ underground forces. I’m afraid you won’t have the chance to go to Ludong in the future. So, I’ve already taken the liberty of coming over from Ludong myself. If you want to kill me, hurry and come, don’t keep me waiting too long!”

”Where are you?” Wang Tian’an’s face changed again, and he looked at Xu Cunxiao in astonishment, still under the impression that Chen San was in Ludong. Honestly, he didn’t know how the call came through.

”How come Blood-Sealed Throat didn’t tell you that I’ve already made it to the Eastern Province?” Chen San said, ”My current location, well, just happens to be in Shenchuan City, and your men in Shenchuan City are just so happening to be under my feet. Wang Tian’an, do you want to hear their voices?”

”You... what did you say?” Wang Tian’an stood up abruptly, never expecting that White Horse Chen San would actually have entered Shenchuan City. From Chen San’s tone, he didn’t need to guess to know that the men he had sent to the Eastern Province to takeover, had definitely suffered a loss tonight. By this account, his loss was great. Having suffered a major setback at Shen Family Manor and having failed to take over the Eastern Province, his meticulously planned strategy for the past twenty years had started off so disastrously, which made him extremely angry.

”It seems that neither you nor Blood-Sealed Throat trust each other!” Chen San chuckled, ”I’ve been in the Eastern Province for a while now, I thought Blood-Sealed Throat would have told you. It turns out he didn’t inform you, you two really are cut from the same cloth!”

Wang Tian’an furrowed his brows; previously, his pretense of aligning with Right Protector Blood-Sealed Throat was merely to have the Sha Men encircle and attack Shen Family Manor. In reality, he had never considered Blood-Sealed Throat one of his own. This trip to Shen Family Manor, he had originally planned to eliminate Blood-Sealed Throat as well. But never had he imagined that Blood-Sealed Throat kept him in the dark about many things, especially about White Horse Chen San. Furious inside, Wang Tian’an realized Blood-Sealed Throat was deliberately sabotaging him while he thought he had everything under control, not realizing that nothing was within his grasp!

”Chen San, don’t get too cocky!” Wang Tian’an declared angrily, ”The minions I sent to Shenchuan City are just some low-powered fellows; my real elite forces haven’t moved yet. Even if you can stop them from taking over Shenchuan City, so what? You, a greenhorn, think you can compete with me? When my elite forces from the Western Province invade the Eastern Province, it will certainly be your time to die!”

”Then, I’ll just wait for your elite forces here in the Eastern Province, just don’t make me wait too long!” Chen San laughed heartily and hung up the phone.

On this end, Wang Tian’an nearly smashed his phone, roaring furiously, ”When did Chen San enter Shenchuan City, and you ******** don’t even know?”

The crowd looked at each other, clueless about this event. Seeing their expressions, Wang Tian’an became even more infuriated and gritted his teeth, ”Blood-Sealed Throat, you dare to betray me, I will ******** kill you with my own hands!”

The consecutive defeats tonight had driven Wang Tian’an to the brink of madness. At Shen Family Manor, all his plans had come to naught, and he had suffered significant losses. And his plan to take over all the underground forces in the Eastern Province tonight, had not expected Chen San to be in Shenchuan City, which greatly thwarted his plan, how could he not be angry?

Just then, as they were speaking, several people ran in through the door, one of them immediately said upon entering, ”It’s bad news, our men in Tianhui City were ambushed by an unidentified group. Now, most of our men in Tianhui City have been defeated, with only about twenty escaping, and we failed to take over Tianhui City...”

”The same happened in Xishan City; a group of strong individuals appeared out of nowhere.”

Several people clamored at the same time; their men dispatched across the Eastern Province had all been ambushed by an unknown group, and their plan for the night had fallen through completely.

Wang Tian’an shook with rage, no guessing needed for him to realize who the people ambushing his subordinates were. With White Horse Chen San having entered Shenchuan City, this incident surely had Chen San’s hand in it. He, oblivious to this development, had sent so many men, who had all been sacrificed in vain, causing him to lose many of his underlings!

Finally, another person rushed in from outside, speaking softly, ”Big Brother, our men in Dongzhou...”

”No need to say it!” Wang Tian’an waved his hand in irritation, snapping, ”They were obviously ambushed by an unknown group too, right?”

”Not exactly...” The person shook his head, and Wang Tian’an perked up immediately, asking, ”Then what happened? Did they take over Dongzhou?”

The person shook his head again and said, ”Our men in Dongzhou were discovered by Huangfu Ziyu’s men before they could make a move”, they were surrounded. Our men suffered huge losses, nearly completely annihilated...”

”Damn it!” Wang Tian’an couldn’t suppress his outburst of profanity, yelling, ”With **** like this, you still have the face to report back?”

The man looked bewildered, staring blankly at the people next to him; he still hadn’t understood what was going on.

But Wang Tian’an was on the verge of a breakdown. With a complete collapse across the Eastern Province, his second step in the plan had failed. Could he dare to proceed with the third and fourth steps? Wang Tian’an had already lost his confidence because, it seemed, his whole scheme was entirely under someone else’s control!

The folks from the Western Province gloated over Wang Tian’an’s misfortune, although they’d suffered a great defeat that night, at that moment, their mood was quite good. After all, the actions of Wang Tian’an had also begun to engender resentment towards him among them; it was just that no one dared to show these feelings.
