Urban Martial Saint

Hearing this, everyone was shocked once again. Du Yongwu’s complexion changed, and he stared intently at Ye Qing, exclaiming angrily, ”You really know how to boast, don’t you? One minute you’re saying you’re a disciple of the Northern Fist King Third Master Li, and the next minute you’re saying the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun taught you Wing Chun Fist. Do you think you’re such a hot commodity? Northern and Southern Fist Kings, do you know what kind of existence that is? Even I, myself, have only seen Third Master Li a few times, let alone you, a young whippersnapper. The Northern and Southern Fist Kings disappeared twenty years ago. When they disappeared, you were nothing more than a snotty child. Did they teach you martial arts back then? How ludicrous!”

Du Yongwu would definitely not believe that Ye Qing’s martial arts skills were personally taught by the Kings of Northern and Southern Fist. Ye Qing shrugged his shoulders helplessly and said, ”Why does no one believe it when you tell the truth now? Just yesterday at noon, I was having lunch with Elder Shen too!”

”Hahaha...” Du Yongwu laughed loudly and said, ”Young man, as the saying goes, even when you boast, you should draft it first. You’re overdoing it with your boasting. You had lunch with Shen Tianjun yesterday noon? Ha, Shen Tianjun has not appeared for twenty years. How did you have lunch with him? Also, you just said Third Master Li taught you Li Style Bajiquan, and Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun taught you Wing Chun Fist. Both of these boxing techniques are the unique skills of these two masters. What merits and abilities do you have to learn these famous masters’ unique skills? Moreover, do you know about the grievance between Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun and Northern Fist King Third Master Li? These two were enemies, so how could they possibly teach the same person their martial arts? Humph, I’ve seen plenty of overconfident people, but someone as self-overestimating as you, this is indeed my first time seeing!”

Ye Qing was left speechless; he was not being overconfident, everything he said was true. But there was nothing he could do if Du Yongwu didn’t believe him.

”Du Yongwu, it seems that you still do not understand the grievance between the Northern and Southern Fist Kings,” Ye Qing said. ”Yes, the Northern and Southern Fist Kings did fight in the past, but that does not mean there was any enmity between them. On the contrary, these two supreme masters admired and respected each other; there was no such thing as enmity. Furthermore, Elder Shen Tianjun has been back at the Shen Family Manor for six or seven days now. Surely you must know this news by now?”

Du Yongwu furrowed his brows slightly and stared at Ye Qing for a while. At first, he could doubt that Ye Qing was lying. But Ye Qing’s last statement made him reconsider. Had the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun really returned to the Xihang Shen Family Manor?

”I’m too lazy to waste words with you!” Du Yongwu said sternly, ”Mr. Ye, I don’t care who you are. But today, this is an internal dispute within the Xingyi School, and this is also the fight that I and Senior Tie previously agreed upon. No outsiders are allowed to intervene.”

”Don’t worry, I won’t intervene!” Ye Qing said with a light smile, ”I’m only here to watch, but some people I see trying to meddle are a bit distasteful to me. So...”

Ye Qing’s light smile turned toward the Taekwondo Gym Master and the Judo Gym Master among others and said, ”To prevent you all from intervening, I suggest you send all your disciples out now, and let each sect keep only three people here to watch.”

The Taekwondo Gym Master didn’t say a second word and pointed at two people to stay, while he told the rest to leave. This person was genuinely afraid of Ye Qing, especially after seeing that Du Yongwu couldn’t stop Ye Qing, which made him even more terrified. He didn’t dare to defy anything Ye Qing said.

Although the remaining Gym Masters were very annoyed, given that they had just seen the Sanda Gym Master unable to resist at all under Ye Qing’s hands, the annoyance they felt had to be suppressed. They knew each other’s strength from frequent interactions and knew that the Sanda Gym Master, who was actually one of the strongest in real combat abilities among them, was like a child in Ye Qing’s hands—let alone them, who would dare to challenge Ye Qing?

These men quietly sent their disciples away, following Ye Qing’s instructions, keeping only three people to watch.

Du Yongwu saw that these people were so obedient to Ye Qing’s words, and he couldn’t help but feel furious. When he came here, he had specifically visited each gym to invite them to watch the fight. To establish good relations with the Shenchuan City side, he had even been genial towards these people he actually looked down on. Although they said they supported him, in reality, their attitude towards him was quite arrogant. He originally wanted to showcase his strength in today’s great battle against the Southern Xingyi School, to suppress all sides and let these people witness his power so that he could gain a foothold in Shenchuan City.

However, he hadn’t expected these people to be so respectful, even fearful, towards Ye Qing, which infuriated him. But as angry as he was, he was helpless because he could tell that Ye Qing’s abilities were truly extraordinary.

”Since that’s the case, I still need you all to stand as witnesses!” Du Yongwu bowed slightly to the few remaining people and then looked over to Tie Weihua, coldly saying, ”Nephew Tie, now that your little junior brother has also returned, can we continue the fight now?”

Ye Qing was very strong, but he had achieved this through practicing Li Style Bajiquan and Shen Family Wing Chun. Therefore, when Du Yongwu said those words earlier, it was to prevent Ye Qing from aiding the people of the Southern Xingyi School. As for Du Tianyi, since he was with the Southern Xingyi School, he definitely wouldn’t know Li Style Bajiquan and Wing Chun Fist, and given his young age, his strength definitely couldn’t be that great. Thus, Du Yongwu didn’t consider him a threat. Even though he knew that Du Tianyi’s strength might be a bit superior to the people from the Southern Xingyi School, he was confident enough to challenge the fighters from the Southern Xingyi School boldly.

After Du Tianyi’s return, the members of the Southern Xingyi School shifted their focus entirely on him; they had almost forgotten about Tie Weihua. Now, hearing Du Yongwu’s words, everyone looked at Tie Weihua, and one person whispered next to him, ”Sect Leader, should... should we let the junior brother return to our Xingyi School? After all, he is the disciple our master values most!”

Everyone was looking at Tie Weihua with expectation, but Du Yongwu was taken aback, then burst into laughter, ”What? Has the Southern Xingyi School started having internal conflicts? Has this Junior Brother even left the Southern Xingyi School now?”

Tie Weihua was somewhat embarrassed. Of course, he wanted Du Tianyi to come back, but he had no idea what Du Tianyi intended, so he didn’t know how to approach the subject.

Du Tianyi remained quite calm, looking at Du Yongwu, he announced loudly, ”No matter what happens, it’s all between us brothers. Uncle Du, all my martial arts were personally taught by Master, and if Southern Xingyi School has a problem, it’s my problem too. Uncle Du, if you want to fight, I am ready to accompany you to the very end!”

At these words from Du Tianyi, the people of Southern Xingyi School were overjoyed, and everyone started shouting excitedly. Tie Weihua breathed a sigh of relief, walked to Du Tianyi’s side, hesitated slightly, then said in a low voice, ”Junior Brother, about what happened last time, I was wrong. Now, I sincerely invite you to return to the Southern Xingyi School, do you... would you agree?”

Without saying a word, Du Tianyi turned around and went to a table in front of a portrait of Tie Yongwen, knelt down, and knocked his head on the ground nine times, loudly declaring, ”Master, your disciple has returned. I will definitely follow Master’s teachings diligently, uphold Master’s will, assist Senior Tie and all fellow brothers, and hold up the entire Xingyi School!”

These words from Du Tianyi excited the members of the Southern Xingyi School even more, and Tie Weihua had a face full of satisfaction. Although Du Tianyi hadn’t spoken to him, kneeling and saying those words in front of Tie Yongwen’s portrait was the best answer he could have given him!

”Recruiting disciples in the midst of battle, your Southern Xingyi School really does have a lot of issues. But, what’s the use of all this?” Du Yongwu said, ”We agreed to decide the winner through ten battles, and I’ve already won three of them, yet you haven’t even defeated my first disciple. Ah, it seems, I probably won’t even need to step forward!”

At the sidelines, Ye Qing laughed and said, ”Du Yongwu, you are considered a senior in the Xingyi School, do you really feel comfortable fighting these younger ones?”

Du Yongwu’s face flushed slightly, and pretending not to hear, he only looked at the people of Southern Xingyi School and said, ”This fourth match, I wonder which expert from Southern Xingyi School wishes to fight next?”

All eyes from Southern Xingyi School turned to Du Tianyi, who was preparing to step forward, but just then, a loud shout suddenly came from outside the door, ”I’ll do it!”

Everyone turned their heads to look, and saw a tall figure rushing in from outside. This tall person was no other than their Second Senior Brother, Xiang Yunpeng.

After Du Tianyi was expelled from the Xingyi School last time, Xiang Yunpeng left with him to investigate the truth behind Tie Yongwen’s death. When Ye Qing and Du Tianyi went to Xi Hang, he had stayed in Shenchuan City, but had never returned to the Southern Xingyi School. This time, when Ye Qing and Du Tianyi returned, they had contacted him, and coincidentally, he had just arrived back.

Seeing Xiang Yunpeng, the people of Xingyi School couldn’t help but get excited again. Although Xiang Yunpeng was a bit simple-minded, his strength among the group was by no means weak. Now that he was back, everyone felt their chances of winning had increased!

”Second Senior Brother!” Tie Weihua hurriedly led the people to greet him, his face filled with excitement, ”You... you’ve finally come back!”

”With such a big event taking place in the Xingyi School, how could I not come back?” Xiang Yunpeng waved at the people, then turned his head, and glaring at Du Yongwu, he asked, ”Who will fight me?”

Du Yongwu frowned slightly, unaware of the situation in the Southern Xingyi School. But seeing that the people addressed this man as Second Senior Brother, he knew this man’s capabilities were surely not weak. After hesitating for a long time, he decided to send the same man who had already fought three consecutive bouts.
