Urban Martial Saint

”I am a Ye!” Ye Qing replied calmly.

”Impossible! Impossible! Absolutely impossible!” Du Yongwu exclaimed three impossibles in succession, his voice grave, ”This Stick to the Mountain move is mighty and dominant, unmatched in strength. Now in the North, apart from the Li Family, no other Baji Quan sect could possess such a powerful Stick to the Mountain. And the Li Family’s Baji Quan has never been taught to outsiders. How could you possibly be a Ye?”

Ye Qing said calmly, ”My Baji Quan was not learned from the Li Family!”

”Absolutely impossible!” Du Yongwu shouted again, angrily saying, ”You young man, do you still want to deceive me? I am very familiar with the situation of the Northern Li Family; you must be a junior from the Northern Li Family!”

”I’m sorry, I am not a junior!” Ye Qing smiled faintly, ”According to your seniority, I should be considered your senior. Technically, you should be calling me ’Shi Shu’ (martial uncle)!”

”What?” Du Yongwu’s face changed, and the disciples by his side began clamoring indistinctly. Had it not been for the powerful way Ye Qing had acted earlier, there might have been more attempts to attack him. However, the way that man had been injured was witnessed by everyone, so naturally, they dared not attack.

”I’m saying, I am your martial uncle!” Ye Qing looked quietly at Du Yongwu, saying, ”Because, my Baji Quan was personally taught to me by Northern Fist King Li Changqing, Third Master Li!”

”What?” Du Yongwu’s eyes widened suddenly, not just him, but even the members of the Northern Xingyi School were all filled with astonishment. This was something that no one could have anticipated.

In fact, Ye Qing had learned from Old Wang Ba that Northern Fist King Li Changqing held a very high seniority in the Northern martial arts world. He had just seen Du Yongwu continuously using seniority and manners to suppress people from the Southern Xingyi School, so he casually asked which one of them, Du Yongwu or Li Changqing, held the higher seniority.

Ye Qing had originally thought that Du Yongwu and Li Changqing shared the same seniority. However, Tie Yongwen addresses Li Changqing as ’Brother Li San’, and Du Yongwu was the disciple of Tie Yongwen. He hadn’t expected that Du Yongwu would actually be two levels junior to Li Changqing, which immediately gave him an advantage.

Indeed, according to the seniority in Du Yongwu’s lineage, Tie Yongwen would also be two levels junior to Li Changqing. However, Du Yongwu’s grandmaster is not the same as Tie Yongwen’s grandmaster; the South and North Xingyi Gates had split long ago, and this so-called fraternity was merely a matter of sect seniority and was not true. Therefore, Du Yongwu was two levels junior to Li Changqing, but Tie Yongwen didn’t need to worry about this seniority.

However, Du Yongwu had to calculate his seniority based on his grandmaster’s lineage. Thus, he was one level junior to Ye Qing. That meant Ye Qing was indeed his martial uncle. When Ye Qing blamed him for his lack of manners, there was nothing he could say. The words that Du Yongwu had said to the people of the Southern Xingyi School earlier had now been perfectly thrown back at him by Ye Qing, truly a case of using a person’s own techniques against them.

Du Yongwu’s eyes bulged for quite a while, before he suddenly shook his head saying, ”Impossible, impossible, how can you possibly be a disciple of Third Master Li? I have never heard of Third Master Li taking any disciples; you must be an imposter!”

Ye Qing smiled, ”Have you seen Third Master Li in the past twenty years?”

”Third Master Li has been missing for twenty years; how could I possibly have seen him?” Du Yongwu said gravely.

”That’s right!” Ye Qing spread his hands and said, ”He’s been missing for twenty years, and you still won’t allow him to take a disciple? Moreover, there is no doubt about my Li Style Baji Quan. As the Li Family Baji Quan is never taught to outsiders, the technique I practice was personally taught to me by Third Master Li!”

Du Yongwu said indignantly, ”Don’t think you can deceive me. How could Third Master Li possibly take you as a disciple? Your Li Family Baji Quan may be genuine, but who knows if you just stole it from the Li Family? Hmph, you stole the Li Family’s martial arts, and I haven’t even troubled you about it yet, and here you are, deceiving everyone. You really think that by stealing a few moves, you can do whatever you want?”

Ye Qing slightly furrowed his brows, glanced at Du Yongwu, and said, ”Du Yongwu, if you really want to play foul, I have nothing to say. Whether my identity is real or fake, you will naturally know in the future. However, you should watch what you say today. Once I am truly proven to be your martial uncle, I want to see how you will apologize to me later!”

Du Yongwu was momentarily stunned by Ye Qing’s words, unsure of how to respond. In fact, he also suspected that Ye Qing might really be Li Changqing’s disciple. However, he truly did not want to admit that this young man was his martial uncle, and that was why he kept objecting. Yet, he was also conflicted because if Ye Qing indeed was his martial uncle, and he spoke disrespectfully today, wouldn’t it be like slapping his own face? He had been constantly using seniority and manners as his argument since he entered, and now being blackmailed in return, you can imagine how it must feel!

”I don’t care which sect you are from, today’s matter concerns only the South and North Xingyi Gate; it is not for outsiders to interfere!” Du Yongwu said gravely, ”I hope you won’t interfere either; this is an internal matter of our sect!”

”Since it’s a matter between the South and North Xingyi Gates, outsiders indeed shouldn’t interfere!” Ye Qing turned his head to look at the Taekwondo Gym Master, his voice cold, ”So, what is the meaning of this group of people coming here?”

Mr. Du Yongwu said, ”I invited them to serve as referees, so that if the people from the Southern Xingyi School lose, they can’t deny it. They didn’t interfere with our issue with the Southern Xingyi School!”

”Is that so?” Ye Qing calmly looked at the Taekwondo Gym Master, who only felt cold sweat all over his body, truly afraid of Ye Qing.

”Since you are not interfering in the matters between the South and North Xingyi Gate, then what were those words I heard outside just now?” Ye Qing said, ”Just now, did I vaguely hear them saying they wanted to support the people from the Northern Xingyi School? How are they supporting? Since they are supposed to be referees, shouldn’t they act like referees? How can this be fair if they arbitrarily support someone?”

”Mr. Ye, don’t be too arrogant!” the Sanda Gym Master shouted angrily, ”We dislike the behavior of the people from the Southern Xingyi School, so we want to support Mr. Du from the Northern Xingyi School. Don’t purposely cause trouble!”

”Dislike, so you act this way?” Ye Qing said with a faint smile, then turned his head to look at the Sanda Gym Master, ”I also dislike you, can I ask you to leave?”

The Sanda Gym Master burst into rage, yelling aloud, ”If you have the ability, just try!”

”Very well!” Ye Qing said with a faint smile, slowly walking toward the Sanda Gym Master.

However, the Sanda Gym Master was extremely cautious. He had seen how Ye Qing had sent the Northern Xingyi School people flying, so he was very wary of Ye Qing. Seeing Ye Qing approaching slowly, his heart was also hanging by a thread. Though he furiously provoked Ye Qing, he remained deeply apprehensive.

Within a few steps, Ye Qing had nearly reached him. Seeing the situation, Du Yongwu frowned. He knew that the Sanda Gym Master was no match for Ye Qing. If Ye Qing were to throw him out, then these helpers he called would be of no use.

”Mr. Ye, since we are all here to watch, why be so aggressive?” said Du Yongwu as he walked over and tried to grab Ye Qing’s shoulder, casually saying, ”Should you spare someone, spare them. Don’t go too far!”

Du Yongwu was very strong, and he managed to grab Ye Qing’s shoulder. However, just as he was about to forcefully pull Ye Qing back, Ye Qing suddenly raised his hand, struck his wrist, and knocked his hand away.

Du Yongwu uttered a light yip, clearly aware that such a technique did not exist in Bajiquan. He did not hesitate and immediately took a step forward, reaching out to grab Ye Qing again. But this time, Ye Qing also turned his head and crossed his arms in front of his chest, parrying blow for blow, directly blocking Du Yongwu’s several attacks. Almost instantly, the two had exchanged seven or eight moves. Du Yongwu was pushed away by Ye Qing, but Ye Qing didn’t pause for even a moment. He stepped forward, grabbed the Sanda Gym Master by the collar, and lifted him up as if he were lifting a little chicken.

The Sanda Gym Master wanted to resist, but Ye Qing slapped him on the back, and he became obedient immediately. Ye Qing walked a few steps to the door and threw him out. The Sanda Gym Master rolled several times on the ground outside the door and finally stopped, ending up in extreme embarrassment, completely losing face.

Everyone was stunned. They had already understood Ye Qing’s strength before, but they did not know that Ye Qing’s strength could be so formidable. To think, Du Yongwu himself had tried to intervene but had been unable to stop him and instead saw Ye Qing throw the Sanda Gym Master out. How could this be possible?

Du Yongwu’s face turned very cold, staring fixedly at Ye Qing with an incredulous expression, and after a long silence, he finally said in a deep voice, ”You... you... you are from the Xihang Shen Family!”

At this declaration, the scene instantly erupted into turmoil again. Those Taekwondo Gym Masters and Judo Gym Masters, though not very strong, were still people from the martial arts world and naturally knew of the Xihang Shen Family’s existence and their strength. Du Yongwu had previously stated that Ye Qing was a descendant of the Northern Li Family, stunning the people from the Northern Xingyi School. Now stating that Ye Qing was from the Xihang Shen Family, it once again shocked everyone from the South.

Everyone was wondering: Who exactly is this Ye Qing from? And how could he possibly know the ultimate techniques of these two martial arts holy lands?

”My surname is Ye!” Ye Qing replied slowly again, with the same indifferent expression as his first reply.

”How could this be?” Du Yongwu said gravely, ”The Wing Chun you just used is clearly the authentic boxing technique from the Xihang Shen Family. That cannot be faked. Moreover, the Xihang Shen Family has not taught outsiders for many years. Where did you learn this Wing Chun?”

”This Wing Chun Fist,” Ye Qing smiled and said, ”was personally taught to me by Elder Shen Tianjun, the Southern Fist King from the Xihang Shen Family!”
