Urban Martial Saint

Everyone looked toward the direction from which the sound had just come, and at that moment, two people were striding towards the entrance. These two were none other than Ye Qing and Du Tianyi.

The members of the Northern Xingyi School naturally did not recognize Ye Qing and Du Tianyi, so they had no particular reaction upon seeing the two. However, the people from the Southern Xingyi School inside the house were exceptionally excited. Du Tianyi was considered the most powerful among the disciples of Tie Yongwen, and Ye Qing’s capabilities were on par with Du Tianyi’s. With these two returning, there was hope for the Southern Xingyi School!

Wei Hua’s expression was a bit pale, and seeing Ye Qing and Du Tianyi made him quite embarrassed. However, more than that, he felt a huge relief. At the critical moment of life and death for the Southern Xingyi School, he would rather lose face himself than see the school left by his father fail under his leadership!

The Taekwondo Gym owner, who had been the loudest just a moment ago, also changed color drastically. He didn’t know Du Tianyi, but he did know Ye Qing. Ever since Ye Qing had made enemies with people from the Shenchuan University Taekwondo Gym, he had fought several bouts with the Taekwondo community in Shenchuan City and had won every time.

During one of those, a Taekwondo master from Stick Country came to challenge Ye Qing and was easily knocked down by Ye Qing with just three punches and two kicks. This gym owner had witnessed that match, so he had a very deep memory of Ye Qing and was well aware of Ye Qing’s strength. Now seeing Ye Qing had arrived, his earlier arrogance and haughtiness had vanished, and he slowly stepped back, hoping to avoid Ye Qing’s gaze, fearing Ye Qing might seek trouble with him.

But this action was utterly useless. Ye Qing and Du Tianyi had heard him shouting as they entered, and they both remembered him. Therefore, after entering, their attention was fully focused on him, and they did not shift their gaze away even slightly.

Yi Qing and Du Tianyi had actually returned to Shenchuan City an hour earlier and first visited Tian Sheng, meeting Black Bear and the others. Ye Qing’s brothers were naturally thrilled to see him back. However, more concerned about the affairs of the Xingyi Martial Arts School, Du Tianyi casually inquired about its recent state.

He hadn’t been eager to ask, but once he did, he received shocking news from Black Bear.

In the days since Ye Qing and Du Tianyi had left Shenchuan City, there had been huge changes in the city’s underground forces, which was no longer news to them. However, what they hadn’t expected was that Shenchuan City’s political scene had also experienced severe turmoil during these days. Key political figures of the Ding Family were all suspended from their duties and were under investigation. It was said that several of the Ding Family’s old enemies had banded together to target them, aiming to completely bring down the Ding Family.

With the key figures of the Ding Family in politics falling, the Ding Family was virtually extinct, which went without saying. But most critically, the closely linked Xingyi Martial Arts School had also lost its support. Without the Ding Family’s backing and no one with absolute power to lead, the Southern Xingyi School, once the most glorious sect in Shenchuan City, would definitely struggle to survive. And the first to strike at the Southern Xingyi School was surprisingly their longtime rival, the Northern Xingyi School. Today was precisely the day the Northern Xingyi School had challenged the Southern Xingyi School.

Hearing this news, Du Tianyi could no longer sit still and immediately drove to the Xingyi Martial Arts School. Even though he had been ousted from the school, he was, after all, a disciple of Tie Yongwen, and he would never just watch the Southern Xingyi School fall.

Ye Qing, having received so much kindness from Tie Yongwen, certainly would not sit idly by at this time and thus accompanied Du Tianyi to the Xingyi Martial Arts School. Fortunately, they arrived just in time—upon entering, they heard such words and Du Tianyi immediately responded.

As the two walked into the hall, the members of the Southern Xingyi School immediately gathered around them excitedly, all talking at once, ”Junior Brother, you’re back!”

”Thank goodness, Junior Brother, quickly defeat their people!”

”Junior Brother, your timing couldn’t be better!”

Everyone was extremely excited as if they had forgotten how they had teamed up with Wei Hua to drive Du Tianyi out of the Southern Xingyi School previously.

Du Tianyi was a rather easygoing person, and seeing these fellow disciples with whom he had grown up, all past grievances instantly disappeared into thin air. Ye Qing didn’t pay much attention to these things, his main purpose here was to repay the kindness he had received from Tie Yongwen. As for the people of the Southern Xingyi School, he had no intention of getting too involved with them.

Observing from a distance, Wei Hua saw the support that Du Tianyi received from the people, and his face became even paler. However, he didn’t feel as much jealousy as before; rather, he felt a sense of relief.

Previously, his greatest desire was to control the Southern Xingyi School, which is why he had always seen Du Tianyi, who was stronger than him, as a thorn in his side. However, after managing for a while, he realized that his capabilities were not enough to control the Southern Xingyi School, and he even worried that the school might collapse under his watch. But now that Du Tianyi had returned, he surprisingly felt relieved because he believed that Du Tianyi was genuinely capable of leading the Southern Xingyi School!

”Is this your Junior Brother?” an old man looked Du Tianyi and Ye Qing up and down and said, ”Young man, do you know what manners are? You’ve come inside and haven’t even called me ’Uncle Master.’ Humph, the disciples taught by Tie Yongwen, they all seem to behave like this!”

Ye Qing furrowed his brow and coldly glanced at the old man, saying, ”I have yet to ask for the esteemed name of my senior!”

”Easy to say, Northern Xingyi School’s Du Yongwu!” The old man casually looked at Ye Qing and said, ”Are you also a person from the Xingyi School?”

Ye Qing said, ”Old Mr. Tie is a respected senior of mine, unfortunately, I had no chance to become a disciple under Old Mr. Tie, and that is the greatest regret of my life!”

Someone next to Du Yongwu curled his lips in disdain and sneered at Ye Qing, saying, ”So, you’re not from the Xingyi School? Then, may I ask which sect’s expert are you?”

Another man immediately laughed and said, ”Third Junior Brother, you’re giving him too much credit. In Shenchuan City, aside from the Southern Xingyi School, where else is there a decent sect? If you ask me, this guy must be from some no-name sect!”

At these words, the people from the nearby Taekwondo Gym, Sanda Gym, and Judo Gym immediately looked alarmed. This person’s unrestrained words offended everyone with a single statement.

The people of the Northern Xingyi School, however, burst into laughter, as they genuinely did not regard the people from the Taekwondo Gym, Sanda Gym, and Judo Gym. In their eyes, the strength of these people was simply negligible and couldn’t be compared with the genuine lineage of their Northern Xingyi School!

Ye Qing’s expression remained calm, and he watched everyone with a light smile until their laughter gradually ceased. Then he leisurely said, ”Mr. Du is from the Northern Xingyi School, I wonder what is your relationship with the Northern Fist King Li Changqing, Third Master Li?”

Du Yongwu’s complexion changed. People of his age clearly understood the terror of the Northern Fist King Li Changqing. Although Northern Fist King Li Changqing had been missing for twenty years, the era when he dominated the North was something his generation could never forget. Mentioning the Northern Fist King Li Changqing, who in the North could show disrespect? Even Helian Tiehua had to respectfully refer to him as the Northern Fist King, let alone him!

”Uncle Du had the fortune of meeting Third Master Li long ago, so technically, Uncle Du is two generations junior to Third Master Li!” Du Yongwu slowly replied. In fact, he had met Li Changqing, but Li Changqing hardly remembered him. His grandmaster was a contemporary and friend of Li Changqing, which placed him two generations below Li Changqing.

By saying this, he intended to connect himself with Li Changqing to elevate his own status. The people of the Northern Xingyi School were also incredibly proud as if having a connection with the Northern Fist King Li Changqing was something to be proud of.

”Is that so?” Ye Qing smiled faintly, looked leisurely at Du Yongwu, and said, ”In that case, Du Yongwu, your character is just like that, huh!”

Du Yongwu immediately frowned, and a disciple standing beside him glared, angrily saying, ”What did you just say?”

”You dare insult my master!” A hot-tempered man raised his hand and struck at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing didn’t dodge, staring at the man’s fist. He slightly crouched down, his right foot touching the ground, and then he forcefully thrust it down. His shoulder moved forward, and with a sharp friction sound from his feet, Ye Qing charged forward like a wild bull, heading straight for the man.

Seeing this, Du Yongwu’s expression drastically changed, and he exclaimed, ”Lao Qi, quickly move back!”

But his words were already too late. Ye Qing’s shoulder directly collided with the man’s fist, which could not stop Ye Qing in the slightest, and it shattered the man’s arm. Without any pause, Ye Qing’s shoulder then hit his chest. In an instant, the man was sent flying like a kite with its string cut, crashing into the wall behind before finally collapsing weakly to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, drained of the strength to even bleed.

In that instant, the entire venue was shocked, especially the people from the Northern Xingyi School. They had just completely disregarded Ye Qing and Du Tianyi, but Ye Qing’s move had stunned everyone. That strike from Ye Qing was excessively powerful!

Among the people present, only the master of the Taekwondo Gym remained relatively calm because he had seen Ye Qing’s move before. Ye Qing had used that very move to send a Taekwondo expert from Stick Country flying, nearly rendering the expert unable to care for himself. It was completely normal for him to send this man flying now!

”Bajiquan, Stick to the Mountain!” Du Yongwu’s expression turned icy as he stared intently at Ye Qing and said in a deep voice, ”Are you from the Northern Li Family?”
