Urban Martial Saint

”That’s right, there are six more sects!” Tie Weihua didn’t understand why Ye Qing was shocked and said, ”Furthermore, these seven sects have a very good relationship. When my father was alive, he would take me to visit them every year. This year, it’s only me visiting by myself, alas!”

Talking about his father, Tie Yongwen, Tie Weihua couldn’t help but sigh repeatedly. When his father was alive, he always felt that his father was partial to outsiders and acted unfairly. But now that he had become the Sect Leader, he realized that everything his father did was right.

After so much had happened, he had changed a lot, and his attitude towards Ye Qing had also changed a lot, which to Ye Qing, was very gratifying. After all, Tie Weihua was Tie Yongwen’s only son, even if he wasn’t nice to Ye Qing, Ye Qing couldn’t hold a grudge against him, only hoping he would get better and be able to support the entire Xingyi School, so as not to let down the spirit of Tie Yongwen in heaven.

Ye Qing’s heart jumped, and he asked, ”Just how good are the relationships among these seven sects?”

After thinking for a moment, Tie Weihua said, ”I heard from my father that these seven sects were declining in talent, so the strength of each sect had weakened. In order to prevent being wiped out by others looking for trouble, they formed an alliance. Whenever one is in trouble, the other six will immediately lend a hand. Over the past twenty years, these seven sects have faced the enemy together many times. Although the names are different, they are as close as brothers, practically no different from a single sect!”

”Damn it!” Ye Qing couldn’t help but exclaim, and without another word, he turned and ran downstairs.

”What... What happened to him?” Tie Weihua was full of surprise, not knowing why Ye Qing had such a big reaction all of a sudden.

Du Tianyi was also stunned, but Du Yongwu, who was already tipsy, saw Ye Qing leave and immediately said, ”Oh no, he left again, truly distressing. I need another drink.”

Saying so, he poured another cup and downed it in one gulp. This old guy was finding all sorts of excuses to drink tonight; this was already his fourth bottle, his capacity for liquor was truly terrifying.

Downstairs, Li Lianshan was directing his men to clean up the chaos below. Seeing Ye Qing running down, he asked in surprise, ”Ye Zi, what happened?”

”No time to explain, lend me your car!” Ye Qing said urgently.

Without a word, Li Lianshan handed over the keys to Ye Qing, who drove off, chasing in the direction from which Snake and his men had left.

Having driven for less than five minutes, Ye Qing saw several cars stopped by the roadside and quite a few people surrounding them. Clearly, these were the men Snake had brought earlier.

Ye Qing immediately drove over, only to see several men lying on the ground among these people. There were also many bloodstains on the ground around them. It seemed that a melee had just taken place here. Snake, who had led the men just before, was also lying on the ground with particularly severe injuries, with several serious wounds where the bones were almost visible.

When Ye Qing saw this scene, his heart turned cold, fearing that what he was worried about had happened. He hurriedly parked the car to the side and rushed out, wanting to check on Snake and the others.

However, when Snake’s men saw Ye Qing, they immediately turned hostile. Before Ye Qing could get to Snake, about a dozen men surrounded him in the middle.

Third Brother was standing on the outside of the crowd. Seeing Ye Qing approaching, he angrily said, ”What’s the deal, as the boss, you came in person to see if you managed to kill our Eldest Brother?”

Ye Qing frowned slightly, knowing that someone must have ambushed these men and framed it on him. Otherwise, why would the people of Snake Form Gate talk like this as soon as he arrived?

”What exactly happened?” Ye Qing asked.

”Oh my, you’re still pretending not to know at this point?” Third Brother angrily said, ”What happened? I want to ask you that. Didn’t you say in the shop that you were letting us go? So how come the moment we got here, you sent men to stop us, saying that we have to chop off our fingers before we go? Hmph, Mr. Ye, you really are despicable. In front of outsiders, you act like a philanthropist. But behind the scenes, you’re doing these vile and despicable things. On one hand, you let us go, and on the other, you send men to chop us down, earning a reputation while dealing with us, killing two birds with one stone. You bastard, now you run over here, feigning concern to ask what happened to us, why don’t you go become an actor with that performance?”

Hearing this, Ye Qing knew that someone had stopped them, demanding they chop off fingers as compensation, and that was why the conflict occurred. It was precisely because those coming had clamored about chopping off fingers that these men thought it was something Ye Qing and Li Lianshan had done. After all, Li Lianshan had talked about chopping off fingers earlier; this certainly made them immediately think of Ye Qing and Li Lianshan.

”This is a misunderstanding!” Ye Qing said, ”Li and I have definitely not sent anyone to deal with you. When Ye Qing speaks, one is one, and two is two. I told you to leave and I definitely wouldn’t send anyone after you again—someone is trying to frame us and pit you against us. Everyone, please don’t be deceived!”

Third Brother raged, ”Do you fucking think you can still deceive me at this point? You say your word is reliable? How the fuck am I supposed to know if your word means anything? You say someone is framing you, Ye Qing, just now nearly two hundred people came attacking us. Who else in Shenchuan City could gather so many people all at once? Ye Qing, don’t you use your brain before you speak? Do you think I would believe you?”

”What I’m saying is true, this matter indeed involves someone framing us!” Ye Qing said sternly, ”Moreover, I suspect that the person framing us is definitely Wang Tian’an’s group from the Western Province. They’ve been placing their people around Shenchuan City, perhaps you’ve been deceived by them!”

”Ye, stop fucking talking nonsense here, I will never believe a word you say!” Third Brother clenched his teeth, ”Anyway, now that you’ve come here, it’s just as well. We can at least get some revenge on you first!”

As Third Brother spoke, he gave a wave of his hand, and shouted angrily, ”Brothers, chop off Ye’s hands first, to avenge Snake!”

The followers of the Snake Form Gate were already surrounding Ye Qing, and upon hearing the order, they immediately charged, reaching out to strike Ye Qing.

Ye Qing took several steps back, dodging the encirclement of the crowd, and shouted, ”Don’t act rashly, listen to me, just listen...”

”Fuck talking, beat him, beat him to death!” Third Brother roared.

A few more people surrounded Ye Qing from behind, and now, there was no chance for him to dodge. Punches and kicks came from all directions, looking like they intended to cripple Ye Qing.

Ye Qing was quite helpless now, knowing that these people from the Snake Form Gate had simply been ambushed by those from Western Province. But now the Snake Form Gate was convinced it was Ye Qing’s doing, all seeking revenge on him. And Ye Qing couldn’t fight back—once he retaliated, that would make things even more troublesome. Provoking the Snake Form Gate wasn’t an issue, but behind the Snake Form Gate was the support of six other sects. If all seven sects banded together against Ye Qing, then he would really be in big trouble. After all, in his group, he was the only one who knew Martial Arts!

Just as everyone was attacking Ye Qing and he was at a loss, Li Lianshan’s angry shout came from afar: ”Go to hell, daring to hit my brother. Brothers, come with me, chop all these bastards to death!”

Li Lianshan had been uneasy when he saw Ye Qing leave alone, so he brought over a group of his followers. They had just arrived as the fight with Ye Qing started, and seeing the brawl from a distance, they immediately came to support.

Li Lianshan brought over a hundred people, and at his command, those hundred swiftly ran over to fight the Snake Form Gate’s members. Ye Qing too was finally able to escape the encirclement, avoiding being surrounded and beaten by the group.

The members of the Snake Form Gate, who had just been sneak-attacked and had fingers chopped off, with Snake nearly losing his life, were already somewhat frightened. Now seeing Li Lianshan’s group and thinking they were the same attackers, they were scared stiff and didn’t dare to fight back. They shrank to one side, and even without much of a fight, were surrounded by Li Lianshan’s men.

”Fight, keep fighting, beat them to death!” Li Lianshan shouted loudly, fuming upon seeing Ye Qing being attacked.

”Stop fighting!” Ye Qing quickly got up to intervene, knowing that if the fighting really broke out, things would surely spiral out of control.

”Ye Zi, you’re still speaking for them?” Li asked urgently, ”Damn, what kind of shitheads are these? In the restaurant, I let them go because you vouched for them. And now, they dare to gang up on you because they outnumber you. These ungrateful wretches, and you’re still helping them?”

Ye Qing shook his head at Li Lianshan and said, ”Li, don’t get involved in this matter for now, leave it to me!”

”Fuck, you always think too much!” Li Lianshan stamped his foot in frustration and turned around, ”Fine, fine, you handle it yourself. But I tell you, these people don’t deserve your mercy. If you don’t sort these bastards out properly, they’ll really start to believe you’re easy to bully.”

Ye Qing smiled helplessly. Li Lianshan was too hot-headed and easy to fool. Those from Western Province were particularly sly, plotting for twenty years with every step meticulously planned. Therefore, Ye Qing couldn’t afford the slightest oversight and wouldn’t allow any accidents to happen. Especially under the current circumstances in Shenchuan City, whether it was the people from Western Province or the forces of Chen San and Chen Si, all were far stronger than Ye Qing and Li Lianshan, and Ye Qing did not wish to make more formidable enemies!
