The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Capítulo 1870: Chapter 1870: So What If You’re Old?

Third Lu chuckled and dragged Chen Bing out, then kicked him.

Chen Bing was older, and no match for the strong and vigorous Third Lu. After getting kicked twice on the back, he hurriedly rolled away.

Rolling and shouting, “Who are you? I have no grudge against you. Why are you hitting me? Stop, don’t hit me.”

Third Lu didn’t care, he just wanted to vent.

The Pan family’s courtyard instantly became chaotic. Though the Pan family had quite a few people, none of them had the strength to face the Lu family, and the situation quickly became one-sided.

The Pan family’s brother-in-law stood on the side, stomping his feet and shouting, “Stop, stop all of you. Where are you ruffians from? This is outrageous, coming to our home to beat people.”

Fists and feet hit without eyes. He dared not go forward and saw the neighbors watching at the door, urgently calling for help, “Please help, these people are truly bandits and robbers, they’re going to kill someone, save us!”

The neighbors exchanged glances, though there was indeed someone quick-witted who turned and ran, intending to find patrolling soldiers for help. However, she soon found, despite the recent frequent patrols, no one was in sight.

A few well-meaning neighbors wanted to run into the Pan family, but were blocked by Xia Yan at the door.

He smiled and said, “This is a private grudge, it’s better for you not to intervene or else fists and feet hit anyone, and it would be bad to get hurt.”

“But you’re bullying people too much, running into someone’s house to hit them. What did the Pan family do to offend you?”

Xia Yan said, “We didn’t hit the Pan family, the only person we’re targeting is Chen Bing from the start.”

He spoke and stepped aside, letting people see the scene inside.

The neighbors took a look and it was indeed, only Chen Bing was being hit. The other Pan and Chen family members were blocked, but unless they started attacking first, the Lu family was just holding them back.

This, this…

“Chen Family’s son-in-law is quite old, isn’t it wrong to beat him like this? Don’t you have any laws, intending to kill publicly?”

Just as that neighbor finished speaking, they felt a strong gaze from behind.

Startled, they turned around to see that girl still standing by the carriage.

Shu Yu smiled at him, “What does being old matter? Does age excuse evil deeds, allowing easy forgiveness? Should the imperial court and authorities release older criminals without punishment?”

“I, that’s not what I meant.”

Shu Yu, “Then what did you mean?”

“I meant, you should at least speak clearly first, maybe there’s some misunderstanding?”

As he spoke, he saw the old lady and Granny Fang looking over, inexplicably losing his confidence, his voice weakening.

Unexpectedly, Shu Yu nodded, “You’re right.”

She finally took action, supporting the old lady towards the Pan family’s main entrance.

The Pan family continued to shout loudly, angrily struggling and cursing, “There are no laws, murder! Where did these bandits come from to invade our home and act viciously in broad daylight?”

Chen Bing howled like a ghost, covering his head on the ground, being beaten by Third Lu.

“Third Uncle, that’s enough.” Shu Yu called, and Third Lu stopped, spat at Chen Bing.

“Lucky you.” He still hadn’t had his fill of beating.
