The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1857: Chapter 1857: One More Hit and He’ll Be Dead

The prison head sighed, ”His family has some connections and spent quite a bit of money. But since he killed in broad daylight with many witnesses, the former county magistrate couldn’t overtly protect him and could only temporarily detain him in prison. They’re just waiting for the situation to calm down before finding an excuse to release him.”

Shu Yu’s face grew colder as she listened; two lives were lost, yet the murderer pays no price.

Prison Chief Liu seemed extremely disgusted with this prisoner as well. ”Although he is imprisoned, he has always had special treatment. The Constable Li he mentioned frequently comes and goes from the cell, and any orders from the county magistrate are relayed by him. So the prisoner’s parents gave Constable Li quite a few benefits to take extra care of him.”

Don’t be fooled by the fact that this prisoner is in jail; in reality, his treatment is no different.

The food and items he receives are unlike the others, and you can tell by the few underlings still following him.

Previously, he even had a cell to himself, living leisurely. After the rebellion broke out, the prison head ordered the prisoners to be reorganized and cleared out all the cells on the west side.

At that time, the situation was urgent and manpower scarce, so prisoners weren’t categorized, and he was thrown in with Zhou Tiedong.

Without special treatment, he naturally wasn’t content and struck at his cellmates, didn’t he?

After hearing all this, Shu Yu looked at the man as if looking at a dead person. She shook the stick in her hand and suddenly brought it down on him.

”Ah...” The prisoner screamed.

Shu Yu raised her hand and struck again.

”Ah... stop, ah... help...”

Once, twice, thrice. Shu Yu remained expressionless, like a rakshasa, showing no mercy in her strikes.

The prisoners in the cell and nearby were stunned, watching her unleash such brutality as if no one else was there.

One by one, they silently backed away, not daring to make a sound.

Prison Chief Liu several times wanted to speak but kept quiet when he saw Shu Yu’s expression, acting as if he knew nothing.

It was Ying Xi who said, ”Miss, if you keep beating him, he’ll die.”

Shu Yu finally stopped, tossed the stick aside, looked at the half-dead man, and said to the prison head, ”Later, get someone to carry him to the cells on the west side. Doesn’t he have a good relationship with Constable Li? Let them keep each other company there; maybe they’ll end up on the same road.”

”Yes, county magistrate.”

As Liu’s voice fell, the prisoners in the jail suddenly woke up.

Followed by a collective shock, she was the county magistrate? How could it be possible? The county magistrate should be residing in a grand mansion, being served and enjoying life, what’s she doing in the men’s prison? Doesn’t she find it filthy?

Moreover, the demeanor of nearly beating someone to death just now didn’t resemble a county magistrate at all.

Shu Yu kicked the prisoner on the ground one last time, ”Such scum shouldn’t be allowed to continue harming others.”

Insulted the girl, causing her to commit suicide and even stabbed her father to death. Two lives; why shouldn’t there be compensation?

”Let’s go.” Shu Yu dusted off her hands and strode toward the door.

Prison Chief Liu quickly supported Zhou Tiedong and followed. After exiting the cell, Shu Yu glanced at Zhou Tiedong, turned, and instructed Ying Xi, ”Go find a doctor to tend to Zhou Tiedong’s injuries. Also, check on the one who was beaten along with Zhou Tiedong earlier, treat his injuries before questioning him.”

As for the one she beat, he should just endure it.
