The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1862: Chapter 1862: Zhou Tiedong’s Request

Shu Yu left, but Uncle Meng was still confused, ”What are they going to do? Who are they seeking revenge on?”

”Someone heartless.”

Uncle Meng, ”...” was even more bewildered.

Soon after, Ms. Tao also hurried over, her face full of astonishment as she said, ”Dear, the Lu family left, they rode two carriages straight out the door, what’s going on, are they not staying with us anymore?”

”They’re going to the prefecture, they may not return for a couple of days. Later, inform the kitchen to prepare less food.”

Meanwhile, the old lady and Granny Fang, who were being pulled into the carriage, were a bit caught off guard, ”Are we going to the prefecture now?”

”Yes.”

The carriage stopped briefly by the Mi Family’s clinic and picked up Lu Sanzhu and Zhou Tiedong, who was recuperating inside.

The two carriages soon headed out of the city, but their speed wasn’t fast.

Firstly, with Ying Dong tracking ahead, they didn’t need to chase Chen He. Secondly, there were injured and elderly people in the carriage, so they had to take care of them.

But just as they hadn’t traveled far, Zhou Tiedong suddenly said, ”Lu, County Lord, may I ask you a favor?”

”Speak.”

”Our village is just a mile ahead, could I meet my parents first? They visited me when I was first imprisoned but haven’t come since.”

At first, Zhou Tiedong didn’t understand why his parents didn’t visit him anymore.

Later he found out that none of the inmates in the prison had been visited, realizing it might be a prison rule that no visits were allowed for a period.

Just yesterday, while recuperating at the Mi Family clinic and speaking with the pharmacist caring for him, he learned of the sensational events in the county town.

Zhou Tiedong became somewhat worried about the situation at home, knowing his family must be anxious for him.

Shu Yu pondered for a moment, then said, ”Technically, your charges haven’t been fully cleared, so you shouldn’t be in contact with outsiders. However... never mind, we’re not in a hurry, I’ll make an exception for you. But it’s just for a brief meeting, I’ll stop at the village entrance and have someone call your parents over, you can say a few words.”

”Thank you, County Lord, thank you, County Lord.”

The carriage moved forward for a mile, and sure enough, they saw a village in the slanted direction.

The two carriages stopped at the village entrance, and the villagers nearby were startled, all curiously looking this way.

Lu Sanzhu got off to inquire about the location of the Zhou family, and the villagers all wore wary looks. No one in the village was unaware of the Zhou family’s troubles, Zhou’s parents cried so much they almost went blind.

It’s been so long since the incident, why is someone looking for the Zhou family again? Could Zhou Tiedong be in trouble again? The Zhou family has it too tough.

Fortunately, Zhou Tiedong lifted himself and exposed half of his head through the window, speaking to the woman at the village entrance, ”Aunt Nian, it’s me, could you help me find my parents?”

The woman called Aunt Nian widened her eyes in shock, ”Dongzi, it’s really you, you, you’ve been released.”

She wanted to come forward but seeing Shu Yu and the group along with the tall carriages, she ultimately didn’t dare approach, instead turning around and rapidly running toward the Zhou family, leaving a distant shout, ”I’ll go call your parents over.”

The other villagers glanced at each other, unable to understand what was happening. If Dongzi is fine, why didn’t he go home directly? If there’s trouble, how did he get out of prison?

But seeing Zhou Tiedong’s appearance, the situation shouldn’t be worsening.
