Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 398: Chapter 379: Tomorrow and Tomorrow (Part 4)

Dinner was takeaway brought by Feng, yet Luo Qianqian’s portion was different from everyone else’s, with not a bit of oil to be seen, and the meat was boiled, albeit large.

”Less salt, less oil, low sugar, low calorie, this is what’s best for you right now,” Hu Si rudely interrupted Luo Qianqian’s attempt to switch meals.

She wanted to cry but no tears came, and upon tasting carefully, it wasn’t that bad, after all. Seeing the greasy vegetables in front of the others, she suddenly felt a sense of balance.

Luo Qianqian polished off her meal completely and then felt a sense of satisfaction in both mind and body, and exhausted as she was, she just wanted to sleep after eating.

Overwhelmed with fatigue, she fell asleep as soon as she lay down, not even noticing whether she had dreamed. However, the next day, Luo Qianqian finally understood that she had underestimated her out-of-shape body. Her whole body ached, moving even slightly made her pale, and thinking about today’s lessons, she truly wanted to just faint on the bed and forget it all.

Before she could even decide what to do, Hu Si knocked on the door, ”Hurry up and get up, we’ve got class soon.”

Luo Qianqian didn’t know what expression to make, shuffling to her feet, limbs stiff, unable to control her movements, her face bitter. If Hu Si, that sadist, saw her like this, wouldn’t he stick her with a couple of needles?

Her muscles ached terribly and, after struggling for a long time, she couldn’t return to normal. Even squatting was difficult. Knowing she couldn’t hide it any longer, she laboriously changed her clothes and stepped outside, only to see Hu Si leaning against the wall as if watching a spectacle, camera in hand, and with a click, capturing Luo Qianqian’s stiff face.

”Hmm, not bad, the movement is weird enough,” Hu Si said, returning to the living room where breakfast was already on the table.

Feng, watching Luo Qianqian walk with straight legs, couldn’t help but find it funny, ’Is she a child? Just this and her muscles are aching?’

What Feng didn’t know was that Luo Qianqian had been housebound due to an injury and the college entrance exam, a fact that wasn’t exactly a secret but wasn’t freely shared either.

Luo Qianqian grimaced as she sat down, amusing everyone at the table greatly.

Seeing this, Hu Si mischievously leaned over and asked, ”Want me to stick you with a couple of needles?”

Luo Qianqian quickly dodged to the side, forgetting the state her body was in, and fell to the ground, grimacing in pain.

”No need, I’ll get used to it...” Luo Qianqian didn’t even care about her fall, she quickly declined Hu Si’s offer first.

Ji Xun rolled his eyes. Others might not know, but could they be unaware? The primary use of the Silver Needles in Hu Si’s hand was to hurt people. Saving people was indeed rare.

Luo Qianqian, limbs stiff, slowly stood up, looking at Hu Si with a look of grievance. She was already feeling miserable, and now with this fall, she felt like her whole body was shattered.

Hu Si touched his nose and silently continued eating his meal.

Today, thankfully, there wasn’t any mysterious type of meat, just delicious white porridge.

After the meal, Hu Si took her out. Despite the soreness all over her body, as long as she didn’t do other movements like squats or lifting her arms, walking wasn’t a problem, and at least she could control her facial expressions.

By the time they arrived, Yang Zhen was already gleefully waiting. Seeing Luo Qianqian’s stiff posture, he laughed heartily, ”It’s been a long time since I taught anyone. Just a bit of action yesterday and I feel loose and comfortable all over today...”

You’re just happy from throwing people around, aren’t you? Luo Qianqian thought silently.

However, as if knowing her condition, the lessons today were significantly less than yesterday’s, yet what troubled her was that not only were there squats, but also horse stances. Yesterday it was absolutely fine, but today...

As a result, squats turned into squatting without being able to stand up, and horse stances turned into freestyle self-fall. Hu Si’s camera clicked periodically, Luo Qianqian grinding her teeth in frustration, wishing he would turn off the sound to give her some psychological comfort.

Aside from being thrown twice today, Luo Qianqian did not do any more ’270-degree rotations with one hand as the center and her arm length as the radius’ movements.

Today, they didn’t go out to eat but had the food delivered straight to them instead. Luo Qianqian looked at her meal, identical to yesterday’s, and felt like crying without tears. She too wanted to eat a fried chicken leg.

After the meal, she took a shower at Yang Zhen’s place and the two skillfully took a cab to the club.

Today, they thoughtfully hung a small dumbbell on her arm. If her arm deviated slightly downwards, it felt like a ruler strike—a fiery stinging pain.

Mom, I want to go home. There are physical punishments here!!!

In the evening, it was still the course of marking dots with a ballpoint pen, but after each session, she had to wash for half an hour. Still, she felt some of the pen marks hadn’t washed off.

Day after day, Luo Qianqian’s body slowly adapted, and the time was also getting close. It was their seventh day, meaning that tomorrow was the moment to undertake the mission.

Today, Yang Zhen was particularly cunning as he explained to her the most vulnerable and the toughest parts of the human body, leaving her in constant surprise. Kicking the groin—could you really reach it? People were on guard against that.

The most vulnerable parts were the eyes—poke them, followed by the nose. If these parts were attacked, the opponent would definitely switch from offense to defense. And if you happened to have a weapon and were behind the enemy, don’t hesitate—going for the rear is your best option.

The strongest parts of the body are the teeth—if you can’t beat them, bite. If biting doesn’t work, scratch. It’s okay if you fail; elbows are harder than fists. Hit them with an elbow joint. The fingernail is also a good weapon, and so on...

This refreshed Luo Qianqian’s understanding of fighting. Could you really fight like that?

Yang Zhen was completely generous, even giving her a bottle of secret weapon.

The lunch was still the same stuff, but Hu Si generously gave his fried chicken to her.

In the afternoon, things escalated quickly as they had her start archery. They even gave her a compact bow and arrow, which, invariably, came with barbed arrows that would obviously cause considerable pain to remove.

That evening, Hu Si directly had Luo Qianqian target Uncle Zhuang, Feng, and Ji Xun respectively, to point out and use the pen to mark the acupressure points and their effects.

The three of them cooperated fully by wearing white clothes and letting them make mischief as they pleased.

As Luo Qianqian walked back and forth in front of the three men, she suddenly said, ”Standing still doesn’t really replicate a real fight, does it? How about going outside? In the dark? Then we could see if the spots I marked are correct?”

Hu Si nodded his head. He had thought the same but was worried that Luo Qianqian might feel pressured, so he didn’t mention it.

At Hu Si’s request, the three men tucked their T-shirts into their waistbands to prevent the marked positions from shifting.

The first to face her was Ji Xun, as Luo Qianqian felt the old man lacked combat ability—it would be better to finish with him early so he could just sit aside and drink tea.

However, to her surprise, Ji Xun was extremely agile, and Luo Qianqian couldn’t even touch a corner of his clothes.

Luo Qianqian dismantled the pen and struck quickly. The next second, she stood to one side with a mischievous grin, ”You should be paralyzed now.”

Hu Si shined a flashlight on the black dots on Ji Xun’s body, nodded his head, and indeed. But are you just stepping aside like that?

”No, it’s because I couldn’t catch him, so I need him to stop. Wait for you to confirm he is immobilized. There are plenty of ways to do that.” As she spoke, Luo Qianqian continued to mark Ji Xun with the pen.

Seeing the marked spots, Hu Si nodded and said to Ji Xun, ”You’re dead.”
