Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 387: Chapter 369: Wrong Choice

Looking at the scenery outside the car window, Luo Qianqian did not feel frightened but thought it was natural. How could a place for geniuses be in a bustling downtown? Jin was driving a two-seater sports car, and Luo Qianqian wasn’t particularly amazed, having seen too many in the neighborhood.

Jin stopped the car and looked at Luo Qianqian, who was admiring the scenery.

Luo Qianqian noticed that the car had stopped, turned her head, and looked at Jin cautiously, ”Where is this?”

Jin smirked mischievously, his peach blossom eyes filled with an evil charm, which was very tempting. Luo Qianqian swallowed and said, ”There isn’t another test, called something like resistance to temptation or using beauty as a trap, is there?”

Jin looked at her speechlessly, thinking she must be a fool.

”Not at all. I brought you here because...” Jin sneered coldly, pulled out a dagger from the bag at his feet, removed it from its sheath, and licked it with his tongue, ”My dagger has long missed the taste of fresh blood.”

Luo Qianqian raised an eyebrow, ”A courage test? Then you should have kicked me out of the car near a graveyard, right? This dagger is obviously new, shiny, are you trying to fool a child?”

Jin looked at his precious blade, which had reaped many lives, wondering how it became a tool to scare people in front of this child.

Jin raised his eyebrow and drew the dagger across the hem of Luo Qianqian’s shirt, a tear appearing in front of her. Luo Qianqian was stunned.

Jin maliciously pressed the blade close to the collar of Luo Qianqian’s shirt, ”How about I make a cut here?”

Luo Qianqian finally sensed something wrong and looked at Jin defensively, ”Do you know Hu Si?”

”The fox, of course.” Seeing Luo Qianqian’s relieved expression, Jin raised an eyebrow. He hadn’t said he would spare her because of that person.

”As someone who knows someone I know, my request isn’t that high. For your sake, I sent away my beauty for the day, though she looks no different from a man. But that will do, accompany me tonight?”

Luo Qianqian’s eyes were filled with disdain, ”Do you know who I am? Hu Si only sent me for testing, he never said I had to warm the bed for a perverted rich playboy.”

”Pervert? Playboy?” Jin looked at Luo Qianqian’s changing expression, smirking, and pressed the blade against her cheek, ”A fitting description, you have good insight.”

Luo Qianqian dared not move, having experienced the sharpness of the dagger earlier. She tried to pull at the car door only to find it locked, turning pale, ”You aren’t one of the street folks?”

”I never said I was.” Jin looked amusingly at Luo Qianqian, then glanced back to see no lights and was slightly surprised. Feng hadn’t come?

”Then how do you know the code?” Luo Qianqian frowned, then suddenly remembered that Hu Si had mentioned that not only the contact person knew it, but she had also asked the bartender, and indeed, the man in front of her was most likely.

”Want to know? There’s no problem that money can’t solve, and if there is, double it.” Jin pulled out a stack of money from some corner and threw it on Luo Qianqian, ”Playing with Master won’t put you at a loss; I might not have much, but I have money.”

Luo Qianqian looked disdainfully at the stack of money on her lap, wanting to throw it back but noticed the blade was even closer to her neck. She swallowed, ”I don’t need money, I can give you money if you want.”

”What are you talking about, me needing money from you? Are you joking?” Jin moved the dagger a bit away from Luo Qianqian, ”Kiss Master, and I will let you go.”

Luo Qianqian looked at the blade, then at Jin’s face close by, frowned, and then closed her eyes.

Seeing Luo Qianqian’s action, Jin naturally moved his cheek forward.

An accident abruptly occurred the next second, Luo Qianqian bit Jin’s knife-holding hand. Startled, Jin still didn’t release the knife. As he was about to slap the girl clutching his wrist away, he noticed a car had also stopped on the road beside them, its window slowly rolling down to reveal a pair of eyes smiling with amusement—it was Feng.

”Yo, yo, yo, what’s this, Young Master Feng? Are you resorting to threatening a child with a knife now?”

Embarrassed and enraged, Jin threw Luo Qianqian aside, ”What sort of nonsense is this? It’s not fun at all.”

The sharp edge of the knife, unnoticed by Jin, grazed Luo Qianqian’s neck. She felt a chill there, reached up to touch it, and found moisture. Pulling her hand away, under the bright light inside the car, it was blood-red. The next second, she lost consciousness.

”What the hell? What’s happening???” Jin looked at the child who fainted at the sight of her own blood.

Feng frowned, ”Damn! Didn’t you know to be bloody careful? That’s a knife!!! Call Fox right now and ask where to take her.”

”How was I supposed to know she would bite me...” In a frantic scramble, he picked up his phone—it was his first time having to find someone to save a person he had accidentally cut.

Upon hearing the news, Hu Si felt like his head was about to explode. The person hadn’t arrived and was now injured!!! He immediately called Hei Yu to find out Luo Qianqian’s hotel location, then told the person on the phone the hotel’s room number and asked them to check if Luo Qianqian had her room key on her.

The room key was in her pocket, and knowing this, Hu Si said, ”I’m closer, I’ll go and book a room next to hers. You guys hurry and bring the person back!” then hung up.

Feng looked at the message on his cell phone, a wry smile on his face, ”Boy, you’re screwed. This kid was sent here for treatment because of this reason, you’ve caused a disaster.”

”It’s just a fear of blood, no big deal. Just get used to it,” Jin inspected the wound carefully, relieved it hadn’t hit an artery, just a superficial layer, but it might have damaged some capillaries, causing a bit more bleeding.

”I have to remind you, Luo Xiying is this kid’s uncle, Luo Yanhai, Luo Yanhao, and Luo Yanwu are her brothers, oh, and by the way, her real brother was last year’s top scholar in their province, and most importantly, her grandfather is Luo Guohui.”

”... Should we chop up the body and get rid of it?” Jin started the car, sighing, ”Just wanted to cause a bit of trouble, who knew it would get this complicated?”

He then dialed Feng on his cellphone, ”Is it too late to apologize to that stern-faced guy now?”

”You guess.” A voice, revelling in Schadenfreude, came over the phone, ”I predict you’ll be doing a few months’ task in the Southeast.”

”You can’t be serious...” Jin, looking at the lifeless Luo Qianqian with her breathing faint, sped up, ”What’s with this second generation, no, third generation, coming to play over here? So young, what’s the deal? She coming to get gilded or what?”

——

”Old man, why is my heart suddenly pounding so?” Yue Tingyu sat up, turned on the bedside lamp, and nudged the person beside her only to find that Old Master Luo was also awake with his eyes open.

”Me too,” Old Master Luo’s expression turned grim.

An Zilan woke up startled from her sleep, drenched in sweat. Lin Xu quickly handed her a glass of water, ”Nightmare?”

”Feels like Qianqian got into some trouble,” An Zilan clutched her chest, a worried look on her face.

He Wenyu gazed at the suddenly dead bedside lamp, looked up at the ceiling, and suddenly missed Luo Qianqian, whom he hadn’t seen in a long time.

Luo Shufan then smashed a cup and turned on his computer to immediately check the whereabouts of his family members.
