The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 91: Chapter 91- Sieging the City (4)

”C-Commander, was it alright to bring only us?”

”Hmm, what do you mean?” Reinhardt turned to look towards a young squire around fifteen or sixteen years of age.

”I mean, wouldn’t it have been better if you brought the knights with you instead of us? The enemy we are going to face are knights too. Wouldn’t we just get in your way during the battle?”

The squire was suppressing his body from trembling and showing any weakness, it was not just him, the others also looked visibly shaken. Although they had gone through nightmarish training and had even battled monster hordes, it was when the high ranking knights were with them.

Right now, they were all alone and going up against the entire enemy’s stronghold.

”Well, you might be right. Bringing the knights of the Temple of Light would have made this siege a lot more easier. However, had I done that, the composition of other teams would have gotten weaker”.

”You are right”.

Suddenly, Reinhardt turned towards his squad, his horse rearing its legs in a heroic and gallant display.

”Listen up, future knights of the Temple of Light. You all are the seeds of our sacred legacy. Within each of you burns the first spark of valor, the quiet flame that will one day blaze into the light of knighthood. The path ahead might be fraught with danger, but it is through courage, discipline and honor that knights are made”...

”One cannot call themselves a knight if they haven’t walked the thorny path. And you, the squires are the future bearers of our creed, the shield against darkness, the voice of justice in a world that often forgets its own soul. Remember this: Honor does not live in stone halls or ancient scrolls. It lives within each of you”...

”In your choices. In your courage. In the way you lift your sword, not for glory, but for the good. One day, your name shall echo throughout every corner of this kingdom as a beacon of hope. One day, you all shall become the legend you all are looking up to today. And one day it shall be your turn to raise and foster the next generations of knights”...

”So tell me, my brave knights in the making, are you ready to walk through a sea of thorns with me and carve your names into the chronicles of eternity? Brave knights, will you ride with me?”

Seconds passed by, the squires who up until now looked devoid of any spirit, roared out in a fierce burst of moral and excitement. Their current self, now brimming with confidence and strength, looked nothing like their self from a few seconds ago.

Reinhardt’s words managed to touch the hearts and souls of these young squires, encouraging them to walk down the path of hardship.

Of course, he could have easily encouraged them using his [Voice of Providence]. However, what he wanted was not short lived excitement but a will of fire that is ready to endure. And he must say, his words worked wonder.

The lessons on rhetoric and chivalry that the previous Reinhardt learned when he was a child came in handy.

”You all look like splendid knights now,” Saying that he turned around and released the effects of his many titles.

While it may be true that he had no other choice but to ride with the squires, it wouldn’t look good on him if any of these hatchlings died while he was present. As such, he let them bath in the effects of his many titles.

[Executioner of the Lord of Divine Wrath] is now in effect.

[Wielder of the First Light] is now in effect.

[Arbiter of the Heavens] is now in effect.

There were a few more; however, they can only be activated when certain conditions are met. In any case, just these three titles were more than enough for now.

Each of Reinhardt’s titles grants him and his allies absurdly powerful buffs, passive effects, and battlefield-wide enhancements, making them the greatest force of divine judgment.

The squires suddenly felt their bodies bursting with limitless power. Their senses magnifying and their determination surging to new heights.

”Woah, I feel like I can even take on an A rank monster right now”.

”This... could this be... the buffs from Commander?”

Having experienced a similar feeling before, it didn’t take time for these squires to understand where their newfound powers came from.

In the backlines, Kevin, Gwen, and the two wolf kin boy, Vic and Jay, looked at the man standing at the helm of this group.

To manifest one’s own power and vision to affect not only oneself but even those around him, what kind of training and journey one had to go through to be able to do something like this?
