The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 62: Chapter 62- The Demi Humans’ Decision

”Commander that is?” Bob and the other high level knigghts questioned.

”This is a low tier summoning- Astral Hawk. I sent it to report the situation to my father back in our territory after last night’s event.”

Saying that, he took the parchment of paper that was tied to the talons of the hawk.

”Hmm, it seems he approves of my decision. Alright, Zerina can you gather all the villagers? I have some important news for all of you”.

On his words, the last remaining chief of the Toto village gathered all of the demi humans from the now wrecked village.

”Alright, to sum up the words that my father, the duke said— There is an area for all the demi humans living in this village back in the Arcknight’s territory. If you are all fine cohabiting with humans, then he wants you to migrate to our territory”...

”We cannot guarantee you the lifestyle you had before demons took over your civilisation. However, we can at least guarantee you that as long as you stay in our territory, no one will mistreat you”.

In short, he wanted the demi humans to migrate to Arcknight’s territory. After their loss of civilisation, the number of demi humans was already dwindling around the world. If they live around the border like that, the ones here would no doubt also perish sooner or later.

That said, this was a decision for Zerina and the demi humans to make. He could only make an offer.

.

The knights and Paladins of the Temple of Light gathered on one corner while the demi humans on the order of Zerina gathered near the centre of the village to decide what direction they would take from here on.

”Commander, I must say, I didn’t think lord duke would give his agreement for the settlement of the demi humans so easily” The level 8 Holy Knight, Marcus spoke

”It wasn’t easy. To officially integrate the demi humans as the residents of our kingdom, we still need the agreement from the crown. I guess I will need to make another trip to the capital after this”...

The holy knights and others nodded.

”By the way, how are our casualties?”

The trip to the borderlands proved more than what they bargained for. Who would have thought that they would encounter a dungeon here and would have to fight an army of demonic beasts inside the border of their kingdom?

The high level knights were one thing; however, the new recruits were not at all ready for this kind of battle. What’s more, the Order of the Temple of Light was not as strong as before due to suffering great losses in the previous expedition against the demon’s army, and the old owner of the body being put out of commission for so many years.

Nevertheless, thanks to his status effects, they managed to pull off somehow.

”About that, thanks to the commander’s buff, the newbies managed to stay alive. Though they did get hurt during the battle.”

So they suffered no casualties huh? That was a good news, if the order already started weakening right after he took the reins, it would look bad on his image.

I guess I will increase the intensity of the training after I get back. While he was thinking so in his head, a new recruit suddenly spoke out.

”If I am allowed to speak Commander, I would like to ask you something.”

All eyes focused on that recruit. Long rose gold hair and a beautiful yet immature face, she carried herself with an inborn nobility that even some knights couldn’t match.

The girl haughtily pointing at the commander of the orer of the Temple of Light Knight was none other than Dame Gwen. The recruit who joined their Order as one of the top candidates of this year’s Magic Knight exam.

”You may,” Reinhardt nodded his head, indicating for the girl to go forward.

”I want to ask...” She pointed at the snow white Hawk quietly caressing its feathers in the distance ”What kind of skill is that?”

Although summoning skill is not very rare, but it was limited to certain house of nobles; as such, he could understand where Gwen was coming from. Her family of magic knights was famous for using the attribute of water and all of its advanced forms.

”The skill I used is called [Divine Beast Summoning]. The Astral Hawk you see there was summoned by this skill. Not only is it extremely intelligent, but once summoned through the skill, it would stay forever by the side of its master” Reinhardt explained.

”So that’s how it is. I never knew Commander could summon familiars. But aren’t you from the Arcknight family?” Gwen questioned.

”My Skill is different from the Heavendoor family. It is a skill that is a part of me and represents the very essence of my power. Don’t worry, as a matter of fact, I plan on teaching all of the knights of my order this skill.”

The Skill [Divine Summoning] was an extremely useful and convenient skill; as such, he wanted all of them to learn it. Of course, if they could even grasp the downgraded one, was all up to them.

Downgraded or not, the base skill [Divine Summoning] was quite challenging. Not only did it need the talent, perseverance, and stats of the learner to have an affinity with the summoning attribute, but mastering it was also a whole different challenge.

’[I’ll definitely master it; no, I need to so that I can become powerful’ Gwen clenched her hand and thought inside her head.

.

By this time, they were done talking, the demi humans had also finished their discussion. The decision that they arrived at was...

”We would like to take Sir Savior on his offer. The villagers have suffered enough. If there is a safe place that can keep the demons away, we would like to go there” Zerina spoke on behalf of everyone.

”Very well, we shall depart right after you all finish packing your luggages” Reinhardt handed out commands.
