The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 68: Chapter 68- Cursed Suppressing Session with Karina

”I don’t want to delve into the matter of the mission that was given to the order she belonged to, nor am I anyone who should comment on whether she was right or wrong. What I can say is, if not for her, we would have lost the entire northern front of the kingdom. It is because of the sacrifices of her and the other knights that we still own that land”.

No one could imagine what would have happened if the kingdom had lost that large portion of the land that was the northern front. Not only would it have caused large panic and displacement of people, but it would also have caused widespread famine and shortages in all parts of the kingdom.

Reinhardt looked at the young girl who seemed to be the spitting image of her.

”You know, your elder sister Scarlett was one of the bravest and strongest knights I have ever met in my life. Whether it be her strength or values that she gave her life to uphold, she is one of the people I respect the most. Think about what you want to do and what you want to become deeply. I’m sure you will find a path that belongs solely to you”.

After saying that, he left and continued with his stroll.

The girl standing with a sword under the moonlight pondered over his words before making her way back to her quarters.

.

Reinhardt watched her leave from the corner of his eye before smiling. As the commander of the Order of the Temple of Light, it was his duty to help his knights get past their problems.

What’s more, Gwen was still too young. She didn’t need to feel like she was bound by her family and their beliefs. She was her own person, and she needed to learn that if she wanted to get stronger.

That said...

”Haa... for such a young girl to carry such a weight. No wonder she is in a hurry to get stronger. Although I took her in on a whim because she was strong, guess things aren’t as simple now. I will have to look into her family and Scarlett’s mission”.

Everything that he knew about Scarlett was from the memories of the previous owner of this body. The current Reinhardt had not met her in person.

That said, from the memories of this body who encountered and conversed with her, he knew enough details about her and the mission that was given to her. Based on it, he could tell that something was wrong.

”Still, I can’t just meddle in the affairs of another noble. Even the previous Reinhardt deemed it difficult.”

Just as he was pondering about what to do, he had inadvertently arrived at a secluded area of their estate.

”Master,” A figure slowly materialised out of the shadow of a tree and called out to him. Decked in skin tight latex armor that highlighted her curvaceous body and emphasized her assets, the assassin was none other than Karina, his personal guard.

Usually, she would follow around him like his own shadow without making a noise or letting anyone perceive her. For that Karina to come out of her stealth and call out to him, something must have happened.

”What’s wrong?”

Karina looked at him with her deadpan eyes before starting to remove her clothes. She unzipped her top, freeing her full, round breasts.

Those perky and naughty pink nipples that could be seen peeking out through her hair, that soft smooth skin without any blemish or scar, and her figure that released endless temptation.

Even Reinhardt had to shift his eyes away.

After undressing her top, Karina turned around and showed him her back. As she brushed her hair away, he could see a dark black demonic marking engraved on her back and running all the way down.

The marking pulsed with a dreary light and released an extreme amount of bloodlust and killing intent.

When Reinhardt saw that marking, his eyes immediately went wide, and information flowed into his mind.

That’s right, it was that time of the year. Karina’s title, the Mad Blade... she got that for a reason.

He quickly arrived in front of her and placed his palm on her back. Divine Energy released out of his hand and entered her body, suppressing the marking. Nevertheless, the amassed killing intent and bloodlust was far too great to be able to be subdued in one go.

It needed time and a long hour of patience. That said, this much bloodlust and killing intent was crazy.

”Did it increase due to our recent expeditions?”

The event in the capital, where a large number of demons showed up. Naturally, the bloodlust and killing intent that spread from the mayhem must have affected Karina.

Then there was also the incident that happened in the borderlands where a large number of demi humans were sacrificed to the dungeon of the demon. No wonder Karina was in the state she was.

No, the signs showed that it started long before that, when he had fallen into a comatose state. With him in a coma, there was no one to suppress her Demonic Marking.

”Why didn’t you say anything until now?” It had been quite some time since he woke up from his comatose state. He can’t believe that the girl was holding it back up until now.

”Because Master seemed like he was busy. I didn’t want to become a burden to you. I would rather die than hold you back”...

”Sigh... you stubborn girl. You can never become my burden. How many times do I need to tell you that? Now come over here”.

Saying that, he pulled her towards a pond in the distance. There he sat on top of the boulder with Karina sitting on top of his lap.

”I am starting the ritual now. At any point, if you are unable to endure the pain, let me know.” Reinhardt placed his palms on her back and started inserting his divine energy into her a small amount at a time.
