The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 87: Chapter 87- Baron Chetak (3)

Their pursuer was none other than Zerina.

”Hmph” She snorted and folded her hands in front of her ample chest ”Clansmen from my village have been kidnapped. How can I, as the chief, stay quiet?”

”I sent Marcus and the others to convince you. What happened to them?”...

”Hehe, you underestimate us, Sir Reinhardt. We are a village of warriors. When they had their guards down, we sneaked out”.

”We?”

At this moment, more and more people dropped down from the trees. Warriors from all six demi human tribes accompanied Zerina, even Elvin and Erina were here.

Looking at their group which was more than a dozen in number, and hearing Zerina’s reply, Reinhardt didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

They slipped right under the nose of a level 8 holy knight and others without them even realising. That being the case, he tried to dissuade them, but things would only become complex with their involvement.

However, perhaps it was in the blood of the demi humans, they were too hard headed and refused to go back.

Ultimately, he had to bring them along. Well, in any case, they were strong. The fighters brought by Zerina were all as strong as a level 7 knight, while she herself was as strong as a level 8 holy knight.

He doubts that he would have to worry about them.

”I see that you brought Vic and Jay from our village.”

Walking beside her, she quickly spotted the two Therianthrope boys with their order.

”Yeah, they wanted to come along with us to save their sister”...

”You did a good job. Even among us demi humans, the Therianthrope race possesses the greatest ability to sense out our enemies. Those two boys in particular they are the children of the former Therianthrope chief; they have deeply inherited his bloodline and are a notch above others. I’m sure they will be of use for this hunt,” Zerina explained.

Reinhardt observed the two wolf kin boys; he didn’t know that they were children of one of the chiefs from the previous Toto village. After demons took over their village, Zerina was the only chief remaining after that incident.

That is to say, those wolf boys were left without any parents after that fight.

”They are strong, aren’t they? Hehe, it’s not just them. Everyone from our village is strong. Even if they are kidnapped, I’m sure those clansmen of ours are giving those people quite some trouble right now”.

Thinking about it, he did hear from the subordinate of Karina that some kind of incident occurred that made Baron Chetak run to the underground slave market.

Now, after hearing Zerina’s words, he was certain, the demi humans were trying their best from their side. Having rested enough, the knight order resumed their march.

One and a half days later, Baron Chetak’s territory was already in front of their view.

Sniff... Sniff...

”I can smell the scent of our people from that road. The wolf kin boy named Vic spoke. The road he pointed at was the main road that led towards Baron’s Chetak’s city. Thanks to the Therianthrope boy, they were now certain that the demo humans were transported here through carriages.

”What’s our plan, Commander?” Bob, Zerina, and the other knights looked at him.

”I doubt talking with Sir Chetak at this point will accomplish anything. In that case, we can only attack. Listen up, all of you, we have three goals for coming here. First, rescue the demi humans who were kidnapped from our territory. This is our main motive”...

”Second, capture Baron Chetak and anyone related to the slave trading. Any evidence we can find about their involvement in this crime will help us later. Third and last, destroy the underground slave market.”

With Reinhardt speaking, all eyes fell on him. Such was his charisma, such was his aura.

”We will divide ourselves into three groups. First group, comprised of Karina and elite assassins from House Arcknight, will go after the demi humans captured inside the Baron Chetak’s underground Cellar. You all will also be responsible for capturing Baron Chetak and any noble present within the mansion”...

”The second group, comprising of Zerina, the elite demi human fighter, and Knights of the Order of the Temple of Light, will raid the underground slave market. Your task is to rescue the demi humans and any slaves currently there and destroy the establishment”...

”Lastly, the third group shall be led by me and the squires. We will attack from the front, attracting the attention of the local knight order and their assault on us. While they are focused on us, the first two groups who have already infiltrated the city will begin their mission. The key here is to achieve our goals as soon as possible and get out. If you run across any trouble, use the flare gun, and I shall immediately rush there to aid. Any questions?”

The knights and demi humans shook their heads. They were all very clear on the part they played.

”Alright then, we attack at nightfall”.

Night rolled in, inside his mansion, Baron Chetak was enjoying the company of his maids; no, it would be more accurate to say that they were his slaves, as all of them wore a collar on their necks.

Dressed in scantily short clothes, they were meant for entertaining him and the guests. That’s right, guests. In this dim hall, there were several guests whom the maids were attending to.

All of them wore gaudy clothes marking their status and had out of shape bodies. Even their hairstyles were goofy. Needless to say, all of them were nobles and influential figures or the first or second son of one.

They were currently enjoying a sort of lavish lifestyle that they couldn’t in their own homes and territory.

”I have to say, Lord Chetak, your territory is the best. Every time that I come here, I leave with complete satisfaction”.

”You are right, I wish my territory was also like Lord Chetak. You have really improved your city and the standards of the people living here. My father always tells me to learn something or two about administration from you” two guests bootlicked.
