King of the Wilderness

Chapter 541: Chapter 285: Good Bear December

”The worst-case scenario is, I will speak at Justin’s concert in front of the world and take five minutes to tell a story.”

His voice is devoid of any emotion, like a judge reading a verdict, ”telling a story about rescue and betrayal.”

”I will play a meticulously edited high-definition video, fully showing how I found it in a blizzard at forty degrees below zero, and how weak and desperate it looked at that time.”

”Showing how I prepared fish paste and fed it into its small mouth bit by bit. During the ten days it waited for rescue, how we huddled together for warmth in that small shelter, establishing the most primitive trust.”

”Then I’ll tell the world that the program team contacted Environment Canada, and their first official decision after receiving the plea for help was, ’The cub’s survival hope is slim, lacking wild rescue value, we suggest following nature’s choice.’”

”I will tell everyone, it was Dr. MacKeez who argued fiercely, even defying the authorities, to save its life.”

”But ultimately, it was sent to Alaska’s cold isolation area and eventually couldn’t withstand the agony of a ’second abandonment,’ dying slowly in depression.”

There was a hint of laughter in his voice: ”MacKeez, what do you think will happen when these details told by a hero and the official’s inaction are made public?”

”How much will the Government of Canada’s international image be damaged? Inhumane, hypocritical, bureaucratic killers, these labels will stick tight on them.”

”Animal protection organizations and angry citizens will surround their embassies. Their tourism industry, environmental image... everything will be overshadowed.”

This made MacKeez shudder; this was not a threat, it was a blatant, inevitably occurring open plot! Lin Yu’an’s current influence is enough to achieve all this.

”However...” Lin Yu’an extended his second finger, his gaze becoming gentle and constructive again, as if the cold avenger just now was merely an illusion.

”None of us like destruction; everyone prefers to create win-win solutions. So I prepared a second path for them, which is also an olive branch.”

He began to elaborate on a grander and more perfect alternative plan.

”We can repackage the entire story into a positive example filled with humanitarian brilliance, showcasing Canada’s national image.”

”We can announce to the outside world that initially, Environment Canada, upon receiving the plea for help, decided with unprecedented courage to fully assist.”

”But due to the remote geographic location, the expert team couldn’t arrive immediately. Just when the little polar bear was in a precarious moment, they made an unconventional decision!”

”Emergency temporary authorization was granted to Lin Yu’an, who was participating in local program recording and possessed rich wild survival experience, to carry out immediate rescue.”

”During the next ten days, I took care of the little polar bear at the Labrador Coastline, while recording the program and providing meticulous 24-hour care.”

”It was precisely this unavoidable ten days that December developed an indelible profound imprint on humans, an unexpected event that no one could have foreseen.”

”Subsequently, the Alaska Research Center, International Animal Protection Foundation, and Environment Canada worked together, deploying top-tier resources, attempting to conduct wild training.”

”But ultimately, professional assessments proved that due to early profound imprints, forcing wild training would only lead to its death from severe depression.”

”So, at this crossroads of life, for December to continue to live healthily and happily!”

”The three parties reached an unprecedented agreement that highlighted the Government of Canada’s humanitarian brilliance, life-first principle with an innovative agreement!”

Lin Yu’an looked at MacKeez and revealed the core of the plan.

”Environment Canada will fully grant December’s long-term legal guardianship to the independent conservation project funded personally by Lin Yu’an, led by Dr. MacKeez.”

”The authorization period is fifty years.”

”We promise to invest an initial fund of forty million US Dollars to establish a special foundation. With this money, we will build an advanced private habitat for December in Wyoming, closest to the Arctic native environment.”

”We will use a legal contract to specify December’s monthly food standards to Canada, such as no less than 300 pounds of quarantined seal meat and high-fat fish.”

”Medical standards include two comprehensive check-ups annually, executed by a top veterinary team. Activity space standards include no less than 50 acres of outdoor space and an indoor area with simulated ice caves and deep-water pools.”

”Environment Canada has permanent, anytime and anywhere visitation rights and supervision rights; they can even station an observer to ensure December lives in the best possible conditions.”

”We promise to the world that December will never be used for any profit-driven animal performances.”

”The only job of December is to live healthily and happily ...”

”Caring global fans can make online appointments through our foundation website, to visit its new home for free in the future.”
