King of the Wilderness

Chapter 515: Chapter 280: Scores That Shocked the Examiners! (Ten Thousand Words, Double Chapter, With Images)

The road back to Wiseman Town was unusually quiet.

The previous sense of vigilance and scrutiny had completely disappeared.

In its place was a silence mingled with awe and a hint of distance, as the hunters quietly followed behind Lin Yu’an.

They had seen skilled marksmen, but never anyone who could maintain such machine-like calm and deadly precision in such chaotic dire straits.

When the convoy returned to town and unloaded the enormous wolf carcass from the snowmobile, the entire Wiseman was in an uproar.

The townspeople gathered around, looking at the behemoth that symbolized a threat, their faces filled with shock and disbelief.

Buck didn’t take any credit; he just patted Lin Yu’an on the shoulder and said, in an equal tone, ”Tonight, all the drinks at the tavern are on me, you need to relax a bit.”

Lin Yu’an politely declined the celebration that was bound to be noisy, returning to the warm cabin with the lingering smell of gunpowder.

Aliya prepared steaming hot water for him, allowing him to wash away a whole body of fatigue and bloodiness.

Over the next two days, Lin Yu’an completely relaxed.

He neither touched his gun nor concerned himself with the external disturbances, focusing entirely on spending time with his family, occasionally teasing Whiskey and Honey, enjoying the rare tranquility in Alaska.

This was both recuperation and a deliberate wait. In far-off Los Angeles, the aftermath of the Wall Street storm that he had personally ignited was being handled by an ultra-efficient team.

He needed to give Matty Singh enough time to complete that precise and complex ”Tax Avoidance Alchemy.”

Until the afternoon of the third day, when Lin Yu’an was sitting by the window, admiring the sunset turning the snowy mountains gold and red, that encrypted satellite phone finally rang.

The call was from Matty Singh.

In these three days, Los Angeles sunshine remained bright, but for Matty Singh, he virtually lived in his top-floor office overlooking the city.

He and his team, like a highly efficient colony of ants, were building an unprecedentedly complex legal fortress around the astronomical profits of the ’Alliance’.

The initial plan focused on structured conservation easement, a classic tax tool, a perfect scheme tailored for America’s top wealthy.

Aimed at using a charitable disguise to counterbalance the heavy capital gains tax. Matty was familiar with this, having prepared nearly all the legal documents.

Two days ago, Lin Yu’an directly sent that critical encrypted document containing Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) information to Matty Singh.

He added no explanation, believing that with Matty’s professional capabilities, he could naturally understand the true meaning behind this document.

As Matty stared at the document on the screen, he fell into a long silence... the document, after layers of decryption, finally pointed clearly and definitively to the legal identity information.

Ultimate Beneficial Owner: Sheng Risheng

Nationality: China

Residence: Guangzhou, China...

Before entering the MEG plan, Lin Yu’an had contacted his friend Sheng Risheng, who was far away in Guangzhou, a crucial link in his layout.

Although he didn’t understand many tax avoidance tricks, he knew one thing: that foreigners investing in the U.S. stock market didn’t have to pay taxes.

The initial capital for this operation, those 3 million dollars, came from the sky-high endorsement contract Lin Yu’an signed with Archaeopteryx.

Under Matty’s early intervention, this contract was impeccably designed, with the signing and service locations strictly limited to Canada.

And the signing fee was paid to a consulting company that Lin Yu’an specifically registered in Ireland for this purpose.

Through this series of operations, what would originally be subject to hefty U.S. taxation as ”personal service income” was successfully classified as ”overseas corporate revenue” unrelated to U.S. tax.

After legally cleansing in Ireland’s low tax rate environment, the nature of this money completely changed into clean initial capital.

Subsequently, this capital was disseminated through more complex offshore transactions into several anonymous investment entities in the Cayman Islands, with Sheng Risheng as ultimate beneficiary.

These accounts were the real protagonists of the tidal wave in the stock market.

Matty picked up that encrypted phone and dialed the number in far-off Alaska.

”Lin.” There was a hint of astonishment in Matty’s voice, ”I need to confirm one thing, those offshore trusts and companies you used for trading on GME.”

”Their ultimate beneficiary, on legal documents, is this non-U.S. tax resident, Mr. Sheng Risheng?”

”And he does not hold a U.S. green card or nationality, residing in the U.S. far less than 183 days a year?”

On the other end, Lin Yu’an withdrew his gaze from the snowy scene outside, his voice calm and undisturbed, as if everything was meant to be: ”Yes. That’s right.”

Matty couldn’t help but laugh, ”Then all the ’conservation easement’ plans we prepared can go straight into the shredder! But Lin, what I discovered is much more than that.”

”Initially, when I helped you handle that 13 million contract with Archaeopteryx, my goal was to create an overseas fund completely isolated from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for you.”

”Signing in Canada, receiving in Ireland... we did it flawlessly.”
