King of the Wilderness

Chapter 85: Chapter 83: One Million Fans in Ten Minutes

Lin Yu’an’s astonishing performance on the show, as well as his immeasurable market potential behind it.

Like the most enticing scent of blood, it instantly attracted countless ”business sharks.”

After the episode where he hunted a black bear aired, his phone was nearly blown up.

Calls and texts flooded in like a tide, and his email inbox was filled with various languages and expressions of interest for collaborations.

”Mr. Lin, we are from Innovative Artists Agency, and we have an S+ Level plan for your future development...”

”Hello Mr. Lin, I’m an agent from United Elite Talent Agency. We wish to represent you in all global commercial activities...”

”Lin! I’m a scout from Faze Clan! We think you fit perfectly with our brand! Interested in doing something cool together?”

Various top MCN institutions, talent agencies, and brands all tried every possible channel to contact him, offering increasingly tempting conditions.

Ranging from a guaranteed annual salary of millions of US Dollars, to endorsements from various luxury brands, and even opportunities to audition for Hollywood action films.

Lin Yu’an was overwhelmed by this sudden frenzy, and finally had to put his phone in flight mode to get a moment of peace.

He knew that he had to stay calm now. With his Spatial Golden Finger, he wouldn’t lack money, so he shouldn’t be swayed by these interests.

In this life, he only wanted to do something free, something meaningful, and even something contributing to society.

On his personal WeChat, numerous friend requests and messages from classmates popped up.

He ignored them all, setting up WeChat to refuse any new friend additions.

”Brother An, this is Old Mao from Bilibili. Are you available for a voice chat? There’s something urgent and important I need to discuss with you.”

After Lin Yu’an replied that he could, the other side immediately sent a voice call request.

As soon as the call connected, Old Mao’s voice carried a hint of urgency.

”I guess you must be flooded with various calls and emails right now?”

”You could say that,” Lin Yu’an replied calmly.

”I’ll get straight to the point. After your black bear hunt in the latest episode, your commercial value has explosively increased!”

”The ’Phoenix Plan’ agreement we offered before, though still generous, is frankly no longer sufficient to completely match your current worth and potential.”

”In you, we see the possibility of becoming the next global cultural symbol!”

”So, please make sure to stay calm and not easily agree to any MCN invitations!”

”After an all-night emergency discussion in our upper management meeting, we’ve decided to offer you a brand new, most sincere top-level strategic cooperation agreement in Bilibili’s history.”

Old Mao began to present terms that would be irresistible to any creator.

”First, we’ve increased the previous 1 million RMB signing fee to 5 million RMB! It’s also tax-free and paid in one lump sum.”

”And about the operations team, it won’t be an outsourced team anymore, instead, we’ll directly assign Bilibili’s most elite employees to establish a dedicated ’Lin Yu’an Studio’ for you!”

”Based on the Phoenix Plan, we’re adding ’opening page recommendation’, ’front page top slot’, and ’billion-level traffic exposure’ to ensure your followers easily surpass a million.”

”Most importantly, regarding commercial revenue sharing. We’re adjusting the previous 70/30 split to an 80/20 split!”

”After deducting necessary taxes and channel costs, you personally will receive 80% of all net commercial revenue! On par with our top station pillar creators!”

”Brother An, there must be countless olive branches extended towards you now.”

”But what we want to tell you is, Bilibili and its hundreds of millions of young Chinese users are your strongest and most reliable support.”

”We’re willing to use the utmost sincerity to engage in a deep, long-term bond with you. All your demands regarding account ownership and content autonomy, we fully accept and will write into an S-level contract.”

After hearing Old Mao’s words, Lin Yu’an was silent for a moment.

He had to admit that Bilibili’s reaction speed and terms offered once again exceeded his expectations.

It was not just a business cooperation, but more like a gamble, with Bilibili betting heavily on him, intending to groom him into a flagship creator.

”I understand, Old Mao. I accept your sincerity. My lawyer will discuss the cooperation details with you.”

”Now, let’s talk about the upcoming official announcement plan.”

...

Hours later, countless Alone in the Wilderness fans on Bilibili focused their attention on the finale of ”Wilderness Solo Living: Grizzly Mountain.”

The finale premiered in a live streaming room format, and when the show finally concluded with Lin Yu’an winning the championship,

the Bilibili Alone in the Wilderness official live stream room erupted with pent-up comments like a volcanic eruption!

[We won!! We won!!!]

[God An is awesome!! (voice crack)]

[The pride of the Chinese! So impressive!]

[Who dares now to say that God An stole Klay’s championship? Seriously think it’s a hollow victory?]

[Stop saying that, up above! The Emperor trolls will come after you!]

Just at the climax of the entire internet celebration, a dynamic barrage message was posted by the official Bilibili account, scrolling across the screens of all users watching.

”[Champion Drops In] Welcome the champion of ’Alone in the Wilderness’ Season 8, @Lin Yu’an, to officially join Bilibili!”

”The champion himself has dropped into the comment section of this video and will start his first exclusive livestream in ten minutes!”

This barrage message instantly directed all scattered traffic precisely towards the newly created account - @Lin Yu’an.

In Austin’s small apartment, under Old Mao’s remote guidance, Lin Yu’an refreshed the comment section.

Typed his first message as a UP host:

”Hello everyone, I’m Lin Yu’an. Thank you all for your support along the way. The ice and snow of the wilderness have melted, but a new story has just begun. See you in the livestream in ten minutes.”

The moment he posted this comment, an unprecedented ”data tsunami” officially hit!

Ten minutes later, Lin Yu’an’s first livestream started on time.

His fan count skyrocketed at an almost vertical rate, breaking the million mark in just ten minutes!

The livestream images were clearly presented to all viewers.

Lin Yu’an, wearing a simple white T-shirt, sat on the sofa and waved at everyone.

”Hello everyone, I’m Lin Yu’an. Thank you for... coming to watch my first livestream.”

Before he finished speaking, the gift system in the livestream room was completely ignited! Fans who had accumulated months of enthusiasm, admiration, and love found the most direct and fervent outlet at this moment!

[”Just Want to Lie Flat” sent Skyscraper x 10]

[”Wilderness Enthusiast” sent Energy Drink x 999]

[”God An’s Girlfriend Fan” activated Governor! and sent Little TV Spaceship x 100]

In an instant, the screen of the whole livestream room was completely covered with various cool gift effects!

In the background, Old Mao stared intently at the real-time jumping numbers representing ”revenue”, his mouth gaped wider and wider.

”One hundred thousand... three hundred thousand... five hundred thousand... one million! Broke one million! Oh my god!”

He muttered to himself, they indeed did not misjudge Lin Yu’an’s commercial value. Just this reward data is enough to match the resources invested!

Lin Yu’an tried to calm everyone down, but his words were completely drowned in the ocean of gifts.

In just a few minutes, the total amount of money flowing through the livestream room easily surpassed the one million RMB mark at an unimaginable speed!

However, just when everyone thought this reward carnival would last all night.

When Lin Yu’an learned the actual value of these gifts, he made a decision that took everyone by surprise.

He studied for a while, found the backend operation option, and turned off the gift reward feature of the livestream room!

In an instant, all the cool gift effects abruptly stopped. In the livestream room, only the rapidly scrolling barrage messages remained.

[???? What’s going on? I just recharged!]

[Gift feature turned off? Done by Brother An?]

[OMG! Awesome! Made over a million, then closed like that!]

Lin Yu’an looked at the camera and seriously said: ”Thank you everyone, I’ve received your goodwill. But my intention here is to share my story, not to have everyone spend money.”

”I won enough prize money, I don’t lack funds for now. What I believe in is effort and reward. In the future, if I endorse any product, you can support me by purchasing the product.”

”So, from today onwards, all my livestreams will have the reward feature turned off. Your watching and accompanying me are the best support for me!”

The barrage messages in the livestream room erupted into a more enthusiastic wave of ”respect”!

On the other end of the video call, Old Mao watching all this, was first shocked, then his expression turned into a deep smile full of admiration.

He knew that Lin Yu’an’s actions had earned him something more precious than money — impeccable charisma and reputation.

As the livestream was about to end, Lin Yu’an announced a major news again.

He announced that he will participate in ”Life Below Zero”, starting a new journey of building a home in Alaska, bringing the atmosphere of the livestream room to another climax.

After answering a few simple questions, Lin Yu’an smiled and said goodbye to everyone, closing the livestream.

This successful debut not only made him a hot figure on Bilibili with 3 million followers.

It also enhanced his image as someone unimpressed by money, earning even more respect and admiration from fans.

After the livestream ended, Bilibili’s lawyer and Lin Yu’an’s lawyer had already completed the online contract finalization work.

Lin Yu’an officially signed with Bilibili!

The operation team has already started applying for a one million fan gold medal for Lin Yu’an.
