King of the Wilderness

Chapter 82: Chapter 81: Bilibili Contract ”Phoenix Plan

Lin Yu’an first exited the email interface, placed the phone aside, and then walked into the kitchen.

He opened the fridge and took out eggs, milk, bacon, and some fresh vegetables.

In the wilderness, he could use the most basic ingredients to cook the most primal delicacies.

And now, back in the modern kitchen of the civilized world, he could also use the simplest ingredients to create a satisfying breakfast.

Aliya, rubbing her sleepy eyes, was attracted by the aroma and walked out of the bedroom.

”Good morning, darling.”

She gently hugged Lin Yu’an’s waist from behind, pressing her cheek against his back.

”Smells so good... I feel like our baby is saying they’re hungry too.”

”Then come eat quickly, I made your favorite bacon and scrambled eggs.”

Lin Yu’an turned around and kissed her forehead.

The two sat by the dining table, enjoying this long-lost warmth.

”Darling, what are you thinking about?” Aliya asked softly, looking at the thoughtful Lin Yu’an.

Lin Yu’an put down the knife and fork, pulled out the invitation email from Bilibili on his phone, translated it to English with one click, and handed it to Aliya.

Aliya carefully read the email content, somewhat surprised, ”Is this an invitation from China? They want you to become... uh, an internet star?”

Lin Yu’an explained, ”Yes, you can consider it as a video creator.”

”They’re willing to offer comprehensive support to help me establish my personal channel in China.”

”But the video content might lean more towards remote, cold, semi-wilderness environments.”

”So if we really decide to take this path, we might actually have to join that Below Zero show and live in Alaska long-term.”

Aliya said without hesitation, ”I support you, darling.”

”Whatever decision you make, I’m behind you! I can go with you anywhere! Don’t forget I’m a girl who grew up on a Montana Farm!”

”Your amazing skills should be seen by more people! I’ve always thought that the real you is the one in the wilderness!”

Lin Yu’an paused upon hearing Aliya’s words.

Grabbing her hand, he earnestly said, ”I’m still considering. If we accept, it means our lives might change significantly...”

”Darling! Then go for it, I’ll be with you!”

With Aliya’s firm reassurance, the last bit of hesitation in Lin Yu’an’s heart vanished.

After breakfast, he picked up the phone, not immediately replying to the email from Bilibili, but found the contact information for Mark Johnson, the director of ”Alone in the Wilderness.”

Instead of calling, he formally drafted a message, expressing his acceptance of the recommended invitation.

While waiting for Mark’s reply, Lin Yu’an began to check on his academic situation.

Having missed nearly three months of classes, he missed most of the autumn semester, with less than a month left before finals.

This meant he had to complete all content of three core courses and one elective within this short thirty days and pass the final assessments.

For an average student, this might be an impossible task.

But Lin Yu’an was not an average person.

”One month... is enough.”

Looking at the densely packed course list on the computer screen, his eyes showed no panic, but instead a burning determination!

His greatest reliance was the transformational will experienced from wilderness tempering, as well as the comprehensive enhancement from that mysterious space—not just his physical strength, endurance, and perception.

It seemed his brain had also been optimized, with memory and logical thinking abilities significantly improved.

He quickly created a study catch-up plan timed by the hour for himself.

In the days to follow, the apartment living room became Lin Yu’an’s exclusive ”spiritual time house.”

He first downloaded all recorded videos and course materials for classes he missed via the school’s online learning system.

Then he played these videos at double speed or even 2.5x speed.

On the screen, the professor’s figure and PPT moved like a sped-up movie, the voice becoming sharp and comical.

But in Lin Yu’an’s enhanced brain, the information stream could be clearly captured, dissected, and analyzed.

He didn’t even need to take many notes, as most formulas, theories, and key knowledge points were imprinted like marks after one or two views.

Within just one week, he ”swallowed” nearly three months of theoretical content from three core courses and constructed a complete knowledge system.

With the theoretical framework built, the next phase was practice—problem-solving!

He confined himself in the study, laying out hefty exercise books and past exam papers before him. He brewed a large cup of strong coffee, then dove into the sea of problems.

Complex calculations on metal crystal structures and phase diagrams in ”Engineering Materials.”

Precise drawings and analyses of gears, levers, and cam mechanisms in ”Mechanical Design and Manufacturing.”

Troublesome entropy increase, enthalpy change, and Navier-Stokes equations in ”Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics...”

These once daunting problems now seemed simplified into basic logic modules through his eyes.

When Aliya finished her online classes, she often found Lin Yu’an on the living room floor, spread out with giant blueprints, using engineering rulers and pencils, drawing complex three-dimensional mechanical assembly diagrams by hand.
