The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 179: Chapter 179: Entrance and Exit

Yin Suxin finally got a chance, looking at Yiyi and complaining, ”I advised her several times, but the landlady just wouldn’t listen. I don’t really mind since I’ve been eating this kind of bread and dry food too, but it’s not good for her to be so hard on herself. I’ve noticed she’s lost weight these past few days.”

Hearing what Yin Suxin said, Yiyi looked at Yue Jun disapprovingly and said, ”Mom, you two will become malnourished like this. You won’t even finish your work before you’re too exhausted to do anything.”

”Don’t worry, Yiyi. I won’t become malnourished; you see, I’ve actually gained some weight recently. But you should really try to persuade your mother, she has indeed lost some weight.”

It was only then that Yiyi noticed her mother seemed to have lost some weight, so she quickly stood up and said, ”Er Ya, you go prepare first. I’ll go buy an old hen to properly nourish the two of them.”

Fei Erya nodded quickly upon hearing this and said, ”Yiyi, then you should hurry. I’ll make good preparations here.”

Yiyi hurried out to the market, and luckily, although they were about to close the stalls, she managed to buy an old hen.

Carrying the hen joyfully, Yiyi headed back home. However, when she passed by an intersection, she saw a few people gathered there.

Initially, she didn’t want to meddle. However, upon hearing the lewd comments and sleazy tone of the leader, she eventually stopped in her tracks.

As a woman, she couldn’t stand people who bullied women, so without thinking, she rushed forward and kicked the leader to the ground.

”Who...?”

The people couldn’t believe someone actually dared to step in. Just a moment ago, everyone else who saw them had taken a detour.

When they turned around and saw a lively young girl, they all wore mocking smiles. One of them even laughed smugly, ”Oh... here’s another pretty girl. We’re in luck today, brothers, we’ll have fun later.”

But Yiyi didn’t give them any chance to react. She swiftly knocked the men in front of her to the ground; she was in a hurry to get back to make chicken soup for her mother.

Originally, her skills weren’t that good, but after training with Guo Ming, she had made tremendous progress. So dealing with these guys who had nothing but appearances was no trouble at all.

However, when all the men were down, Yiyi realized the situation was different from what she had imagined.

The person surrounded was... a man.

Although this man had long hair and his features were exquisitely beautiful, enough to make one gasp, it was still clear that he was a man.

Yiyi looked at the person in front of her with a puzzled expression, then coughed and asked, ”Are you alright? If you are, leave here quickly.” After saying that, she turned and left without looking back.

The long-haired man, however, had a smile at the corners of his mouth as he watched Yiyi’s back receding, his eyes full of amusement, ”Tsk tsk... saved by a young girl, what a kind-hearted girl.”

Once Yiyi’s figure disappeared entirely, the man’s gaze fell on the scoundrels lying on the ground.

His expression then turned cold, with no warmth in his eyes. Only seeing him pass by those people’s sides with ease, the people who were groaning on the ground suddenly fell silent.

Meanwhile, after Yiyi got home, she quickly handled the old hen and started making soup.

While making the soup, she secretly took out some lingzhi and other nourishing herbs from space, though she didn’t dare to use too much. After all, herbs from space had dozens of times the potency of normal ones, so she was afraid of overdoing it.

”Yiyi, just focus on making the chicken soup, leave the rest to me.”

Fei Erya had already washed and chopped the vegetables, ready to be cooked.

”Alright, I’ll focus on this pot of chicken soup first, but I’ll prepare the rice as well.”

Fei Erya laughed and nodded in agreement.

The two of them worked seamlessly, and soon enough, they had prepared a table full of delicious dishes.

”Mom, Aunt Yin, it’s time to eat.”

After bringing out the final pot of chicken soup, Yiyi went to call everyone for dinner.

When Ding Yuejun and Yin Suxin arrived at the dining room, they were both surprised by the abundance of food.

”Yiyi, you’ve prepared way too much.”

Yiyi quickly laughed and said, ”Aunt Yin, it’s not too much at all. Even if we can’t finish it, we can save some for dinner. Besides, you and Mom really need the nourishment.” With that, she served both of them the chicken soup, then served a bowl each for Fei Erya and herself.

”Try it; I’ve been simmering this chicken soup for quite some time.”

Upon hearing this, they all quickly took a sip.

”Mmm... this chicken soup tastes really good,” Yin Suxin sincerely praised, taking another quick sip, ”You’ve even added lingzhi and other herbs? I didn’t expect medicinal herb chicken soup to taste this good.”

Hearing this, Yiyi smiled and drank several more sips.

Besides the chicken soup, there was scallion oil fish, stir-fried clams, sweet and sour ribs, salt-baked shrimp, and stir-fried greens. Yiyi and Fei Erya continually urged Ding Yuejun and Yin Suxin to eat the dishes.

”Ugh... I’m so full.”

Yin Suxin shook her head and laughed, she hadn’t indulged like this in a long time and actually ate so much.

Ding Yuejun also patted her belly, feeling she had eaten too much, ”Let’s rest for a while, or it will be hard to digest.”

”Mom, Aunt Yin, I’m planning to go to Jidong Island with Er Ya in three days.”

Hearing her daughter say this, Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but say, ”Maybe you should have Master Guo go with you, otherwise I won’t feel at ease.”

Yiyi responded, ”I’ll ask Master Guo. If he’s willing, then we’ll go together.”

”Okay.”

After discussing this, Yiyi suggested again, ”Mom, I think you should hire someone to cook here. Otherwise, you won’t eat properly or on time.”

”No need, I’ll make sure to cook on time next time.”

Ding Yuejun quickly waved her hand to refuse.

But Yiyi insisted, ”Mom, you and Aunt Yin will be getting busier, so you really need someone else to cook.”

This time Ding Yuejun didn’t refuse, saying, ”Yes, hiring someone to cook would be better.” She had nearly forgotten that when her daughter went to college, she would be going to Shangjing with her. In that case, someone was indeed needed to cook for Yin Suxin, so she took this opportunity to voice the decision.

”Really, Mom? That’s great!”

Yiyi was full of joy, feeling that settling in Shangjing would be alright as long as she and her mother lived together.

Yin Suxin was a bit surprised, ”Landlady, you’re going to Shangjing too?” She felt a bit reluctant to part, saying, ”I hadn’t expected to be left alone again.”

Thinking about the situation with the herb shop, Yiyi said, ”Aunt Yin, why don’t you come to Shangjing with us too? You could open a clothing store there just like here.”

However, Yin Suxin refused.

”No, I won’t go to Shangjing; it’s better here.”
