The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 159: Chapter 159: Missing

Yiyi didn’t say much upon hearing this, and finally went with Chu Yuxiu to the department store.

Meanwhile, Ding Yuejun and the others went to the nearby antique street. Jiang Yizi was quite knowledgeable about these things, so she wanted to take Ding Yuejun to find some bargains and see if they could buy something to their liking.

Chu Yuxiu noticed Yiyi looking back several times and couldn’t help but laugh, ”Yiyi, don’t worry, my mom and aunt will definitely take good care of little aunt. They are very familiar with Shangjing, so you don’t have to worry about them. Let’s quickly go check out the clothes; I’ve heard there have been many new women’s wear arrivals at the department store recently.”

Yiyi didn’t think too much after hearing this.

Jiang Yizi and Le Hua were so familiar with Shangjing, taking mother along wouldn’t be a problem.

When the two arrived at the women’s clothing store, Chu Yuxiu pulled Yiyi to start trying on clothes, ”Yiyi, I think you would look great in this light green dress, you should try it on quickly.”

Chu Yuxiu was so enthusiastic that Yiyi found it hard to resist, and in the end, she had to try the dress on. It turned out that the dress complimented her well, the fresh green color making her look vibrant and youthful.

Chu Yuxiu clapped her hands from the side and said, ”Yiyi, I told you this dress suits you, you look really pretty in it.” As she spoke, she quickly called the salesperson to pack the dress up.

The salesperson saw how decisive the two girls were and went off smiling to pack the clothes.

Then Chu Yuxiu spotted another pink dress and urged Yiyi to try it on.

At the moment, Yiyi had fair skin and a beautiful appearance, and every outfit seemed to fit perfectly, so Chu Yuxiu bought several pieces. When Yiyi saw that Chu Yuxiu wanted her to try on more clothes, she quickly stopped her, ”Cousin, this is already enough, buying too many won’t be useful, and besides, it will be troublesome to bring them back later.”

Upon hearing this, Chu Yuxiu finally stopped.

”Alright, let’s buy these for now, and when you visit Shangjing again, I’ll take you shopping.”

Seeing Chu Yuxiu’s enthusiasm and generosity, Yiyi couldn’t help but smile, ”Okay, next time I’ll continue going out with cousin.”

When it was time to pay, Yiyi didn’t intend for Chu Yuxiu to pay for her, so she quickly took out her wallet.

However, Chu Yuxiu was even quicker, ”I’ve already paid for all these clothes, so we can just leave now.”

”When did you pay for them?”

Yiyi was surprised, since Chu Yuxiu had been pulling her around to try on clothes and she hadn’t seen her pay.

”Hehe... It was while you were trying on clothes. You’re here so rarely; could I really let you pay by yourself? Come on, let’s hurry up and leave.”

Chu Yuxiu said as she picked up the clothes with one hand and linked her arm with Yiyi’s as they headed out.

Yiyi stumbled a bit as she was dragged, but couldn’t help but laugh.

She was so worried that she would pay herself, which made Yiyi decide that next time in Shangjing, she would return the favor to Chu Yuxiu.

The two walked and stopped, visiting quite a few places.

Yiyi finally witnessed Chu Yuxiu’s shopping stamina; she was getting a bit tired but her cousin was still full of energy, insisting they continue.

”Cousin, it’s getting late; we should go find Auntie and the others, it’s almost lunchtime.”

Chu Yuxiu was a bit reluctant, but realized it was time, so she left with some regret.

But when the two arrived at the antique street, they found no sign of the three others, asking around did not yield any sightings either.

Yiyi started to get anxious.

”What’s going on, where did Auntie and the others go?”

”Don’t worry, I’ll call home and check if they’ve returned yet.” Chu Yuxiu was also anxious and hurried to a familiar shop to make a public phone call.

But the result was disappointing; Ding Yuejun and the other three hadn’t gone back.

”Yuxiu, what’s wrong? Didn’t you find your mom and the others? Weren’t you all out together?”

Finding out her mom and the others hadn’t gone home made Chu Yuxiu nervous too, ”Grandpa, Yiyi and I were together, mom, aunt and little aunt were together. We clearly agreed on meeting at the antique street, but there’s no one here right now.”

”Don’t panic, maybe your mom and the others went to another place temporarily. You and Yiyi stay together, I’ll send people to look for them.”

Chu Yuxiu quickly nodded and said, ”Okay, Grandpa.”

”So how is it, cousin? Did mom and the others return home?” Seeing Chu Yuxiu finished with her call, Yiyi hurriedly asked.

Seeing Yiyi’s anxious look, Chu Yuxiu quickly replied, ”Yiyi, don’t worry, maybe mom and the others went somewhere else temporarily.”

Just as Chu Yuxiu said this, Jiang Yizi and Le Hua came panting, upon seeing Chu Yuxiu and Yiyi, they quickly asked, ”Yuxiu, Yiyi, have you seen Yue Jun?”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi’s heart sank.

”Auntie, second aunt, what’s going on?”

Jiang Yizi and Le Hua were full of anxiety, and quickly recounted the events.

Earlier, Jiang Yizi took Ding Yuejun and Le Hua to stroll around slowly, the three were lucky enough to find some items they liked.

But as they were heading back, the street suddenly got crowded, and in an instant, Ding Yuejun was gone.

Jiang Yizi and Le Hua initially thought Ding Yuejun had been pushed to the back, but as they went to look, they couldn’t find her. The two immediately began searching, but still couldn’t find her, which made them anxious.

Afterward, the two split up to search, but still didn’t find her, and eventually bumped into Yiyi and Chu Yuxiu.

After listening to Jiang Yizi and Le Hua, Yiyi’s face became serious; she instinctively felt her mother had been taken by someone, otherwise her mother wouldn’t wander off alone.

Yet what puzzled Yiyi was, who could have taken her mother; they didn’t know anyone in Shangjing, why would anyone target her mom?

But soon, Yiyi thought of the Chu family.

Originally, she and her mom were doing well before, but since meeting the Chu family, her mom had vanished.

Chu Yuxiu stood by Yiyi’s side and quickly sensed Yiyi’s change in attitude towards them, although she seemed talkative and enthusiastic, yet her intuition was sharp.

”Yiyi, you’re not thinking that because of the Chu family, little aunt is missing, are you?”

Jiang Yizi and Le Hua were initially stunned, seeing Yiyi’s serious look, they realized this was indeed what the young girl thought, making them take her seriously.

”Yiyi, your suspicion isn’t entirely groundless, let’s head home and have the old master investigate if one of our family’s enemies has made a move.”

Seeing the others not evading this issue, Yiyi’s expression softened a bit, although her heart was still worried, ”Let’s go home first.”
