The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 152: Chapter 152: The Same Thing

By the weekend, Yiyi went straight to the clothing store to help. Although she couldn’t do much, she could at least cook for her mother and Yin Suxin, so they wouldn’t end up eating plain buns.

”Yiyi, just go home and study. The two of us can handle it.”

Seeing her daughter washing the vegetables, Ding Yuejun advised her again. She didn’t want to disrupt her daughter’s studies.

Yiyi smiled and said, ”Mom, you should hurry and get busy. Didn’t you say you need to deliver the goods to Boss Wu in a couple of days? Besides, I know what I’m doing, it won’t interfere with my studies.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun relented, saying no more, ”Alright, then I’ll keep working.”

A while ago, Boss Wu contacted her and said he would personally come to Houshan Town to get the goods in a few days. So, she and Yin Suxin had been rushing to finish the five pieces of clothing, which were almost done, likely to be finished by tomorrow.

After Yiyi finished cooking, she quickly called over Ding Yuejun and Yin Suxin to eat, ”Mom, Aunt Yin, put down your work and come eat—there’s still time to work after eating.”

At these words, Ding Yuejun quickly put down her embroidery needle and called over Yin Suxin, ”Suxin, let’s eat first. Although Yiyi’s cooking might not be amazing, it’s definitely better than buns.”

Seeing the warm interaction between Ding Yuejun and her daughter, Yin Suxin felt full of envy and then smiled, saying, ”Just by the looks, these dishes seem good; how could they not taste good?”

But after tasting the food, she indeed found the flavor to be ordinary. Yet, even an ordinary taste made her feel happy—she hadn’t felt this light-hearted in a long time.

After finishing the meal, Yiyi tidied up the dishes and went back. She still had time in the afternoon to study and planned to come back in the evening to warm up the food for her mother and them.

However, on the way back, Yiyi felt slightly annoyed and restless.

She hadn’t been able to get in touch with Gu Tingyu recently, and in a few days, it was the anniversary of her and Gu Tingyu’s chaotic day from her past life. Although Zheng Xiangqiao and Zhang Liangyue were down and had returned to the countryside, Yiyi still felt uneasy.

According to reason, Gu Tingyu should appear in Houshan Town during this time, but she hadn’t received any information and didn’t know if things had changed.

As Yiyi walked with her head down, a tall figure suddenly appeared in front of her. When she looked up, her face was full of surprise, ”Gu Tingyu, what are you doing here?”

Just like the saying, speak of the devil and he appears. She had just been thinking about him and didn’t expect to see him the next moment.

Gu Tingyu was also surprised to see Yiyi.

”Yiyi...”

He was initially looking for a secluded place but ended up encountering this little girl. At this moment, he only felt his consciousness becoming more muddled, his face flushing more, and a layer of sweat breaking out on his forehead.

Yiyi finally noticed something was wrong with Gu Tingyu, ”What’s wrong with you?” She asked as she immediately stepped forward to support him.

Feeling the warm, soft touch on his arm, Gu Tingyu was startled and quickly shook Yiyi’s hand off, ”Don’t touch me.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi stood there, stunned, her eyes showing some grievance.

She hadn’t expected such a strong reaction from Gu Tingyu to her touch. Hadn’t they been getting along well before? She remembered him cooking longevous noodles for her birthday. Why was he acting like this now? She was concerned for him, so she moved forward to support him.

Gu Tingyu finally realized his inappropriate reaction just now, but at the moment, he was really afraid of doing something improper.

”Yiyi, you’d better stay away from me; I’m not feeling right.”

Hearing this, Yiyi snapped out of her daze and quickly asked, ”What’s wrong? Are you hurt?”

”Not hurt, but I might be drugged.”

Gu Tingyu roughly knew what kind of drug he was affected by, which made him even more fearful of being around Yiyi. If he were to ruin this little girl’s life because of him, he would never have peace for the rest of his life.

Yiyi was stunned upon hearing this and gradually understood something, her eyes showing disbelief. She hadn’t expected Zheng Xiangqiao and Zhang Liangyue were dealt with, yet Gu Tingyu was still drugged.

But she wasn’t afraid; she knew how to handle this situation.

”Let’s get out of here quickly and go to my place.” She said, intending to take Gu Tingyu to the courtyard house.

Gu Tingyu wanted to break away from Yiyi, but was also afraid of making her sad, as his mind became increasingly clouded.

”Don’t worry, I can neutralize the drug in you.”

Hearing Yiyi’s words, Gu Tingyu suddenly felt more conscious, ”Really?”

”Of course it’s true.”

Yiyi said with a smile, then took Gu Tingyu directly back to the courtyard.

Although she didn’t know exactly what kind of drug Gu Tingyu had taken, she figured the drug properties were similar and planned to give him the antidote for the aphrodisiac. However, when making the aphrodisiac back then, she hadn’t considered making an antidote for Zheng Xiangqiao and Zhang Liangyue, so she needed to formulate one quickly and could only ask Gu Tingyu to endure a little longer.

”Gu Tingyu, sit here for a moment; I’ll be ready soon.”

Luckily, when she had Mo Ping buy medicinal herbs earlier, she deliberately asked him to get several types so others wouldn’t suspect, which included the ingredients needed for the aphrodisiac antidote.

Gu Tingyu nodded mechanically, sitting quietly in the chair. At this point, he didn’t even know where he was; everything seemed blurry, but a person in front of him made him want to get close—he felt a compelling attraction emanating from that person, making him feverish with the desire to be closer.

Yiyi was too focused on making the antidote to notice Gu Tingyu’s departure from the chair.

”So hot...”

With a hoarse voice, Gu Tingyu said, tugging at his collar, finally pulling the person in front of him into a tight embrace. However, holding them only made him feel more tortured, with an overwhelming urge to do something.

”Ah...”

Yiyi was caught off guard by Gu Tingyu’s embrace, slightly startled. Once she felt his feverish body, she hurriedly said, ”Gu Tingyu, just a moment longer, it’s almost ready.”

But Gu Tingyu didn’t hear her words clearly, and the urge to act overwhelming him.

”Gu Tingyu...”

Yiyi’s voice changed slightly, but she remained focused on the herbs in front of her, swiftly mixing the solution and then quickly pouring it into Gu Tingyu’s mouth.

”Gu Tingyu? How do you feel?”

Yiyi was unsure of the effectiveness since it was her first time creating such a remedy. She nervously watched the man in front of her, hoping for a positive change.
