The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 163: Chapter 163: High Profile

Seeing that Yiyi remained silent, Song Xiaoqing said, ”I know this matter is a bit sudden, you can take your time to consider, we sincerely want to adopt you as our goddaughter. You really leave a favorable impression on me, just seeing you makes me feel inexplicably close.”

Hearing this, Yiyi smiled and said, ”Thank you, Ma’am, but I want to discuss this with my mother and see what her thoughts are.”

Although Yiyi did not agree immediately, Song Xiaoqing thought her response was perfectly reasonable, Yiyi indeed is a considerate child, she thinks first of her mother’s opinion rather than her own, ”Okay, then you can ask your mother when you go back today, if she agrees, our families can simply have dinner together when the time comes.”

”Okay.”

As Yiyi and Gu Tingyu went back, they talked about this matter on the way.

”Yiyi, actually having godparents is pretty good, it’s like gaining more relatives.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi looked at Gu Tingyu and said, ”Do you really hope that I recognize Mrs. Song as my godmother?”

Gu Tingyu didn’t hide his thoughts, saying, ”Yes, I do hope you can recognize Aunt Song as your godmother.”

Seeing the young girl a bit puzzled, Gu Tingyu explained next to her, ”You should know, Aunt Song doesn’t have biological children, they’ve always hoped to have a child before, but now they’re older, they’ve long given up this hope, yet for the past decades, some people always wanted Aunt Song to adopt children from their families, they were troubled by it, eventually Uncle Song resolved the intense family disruptions, calming things down, yet intermittently, some families kept wanting Aunt Song to take in their children, and Aunt Song never agreed with any, today is the first time she actively wants to adopt a child.”

Hearing Gu Tingyu’s words, Yiyi became more serious, but she still insisted, ”This matter still needs to be discussed with my mother.”

After Gu Tingyu dropped Yiyi at the Chu family home, this time he didn’t go straight back but followed Yiyi inside.

Jiang Yizi saw Yiyi and Gu Tingyu returning and quickly smiled, ”Yiyi, you’re back, come in and sit.”

Ding Yuejun saw Gu Tingyu also coming, warmly greeted him, ”Xiao Gu, you’re here, we’re about to have lunch, eat and then go back.”

”Okay.”

Seeing Gu Tingyu agree, Ding Yuejun became happier, while Jiang Yizi had already instructed the kitchen to add more dishes.

”Mom, I want to discuss something with you.”

Upon hearing Yiyi’s words, Ding Yuejun asked, ”What is it?”

”Today visiting Mrs. Song, she proposed adopting me as her goddaughter, what do you think about this?”

”What... Mrs. Song wants to adopt you as her goddaughter?”

Before Ding Yuejun could speak, Jiang Yizi came over with a surprised face, ”Yiyi, is this true? Mrs. Song really said she wants to adopt you as a goddaughter?”

This matter was nothing to hide, so Yiyi nodded directly and said, ”Yes.”

”Did you agree?”

Yiyi shook her head and said, ”Of course not.”

”What... you actually didn’t agree immediately, Yiyi, what are you thinking, that’s Mrs. Song Xiaoqing!” Just as she finished speaking, Jiang Yizi noticed Yiyi looking at her, hence she quickly shut her mouth, realizing she was too excited.

And Ding Yuejun curiously looked at Jiang Yizi saying, ”You often talk about Mrs. Song these days, what kind of person is she?”

Actually, regarding Yiyi recognizing a godmother, she wouldn’t object, but the person has to have good character.

Jiang Yizi saw Ding Yuejun was not familiar with the Song family, so she hurried to introduce them and assured, ”Don’t worry, Song Xiaoqing is a virtuous woman, if Yiyi can recognize her as a godmother, it would be great, so quickly agree.”

After hearing Song Xiaoqing’s story, Ding Yuejun wasn’t envious of her status, but felt sympathetic, a childless couple is a big thing for ordinary families, let alone for a family like the Songs.

”Since Mrs. Song wants to adopt you as her goddaughter, you should agree, Mom has no objections.”

Seeing her mother’s seriousness, Yiyi nodded.

Jiang Yizi was more excited than the parties involved seeing this matter was settled.

”Yiyi, that’s great, let’s go to the Song family tomorrow, discuss this properly, recognizing godparents is not trivial.”

Seeing Ding Yuejun had no objections, Gu Tingyu said, ”Aunt Ding, then tomorrow let’s go to the Song family together and discuss it seriously with Aunt Song.”

”Okay.”

Ding Yuejun agreed with a smile.

The next day, three of them went to the Song family.

Of course, Jiang Yizi wanted to follow along; she didn’t expect they could connect with the Song family, but in the end, she felt too embarrassed to join.

As Yiyi and her companions arrived at the Song family, Song Xiaoqing warmly greeted them, ”Hello, you must be Yiyi’s mother, nice to meet you.”

Sun Xiaoqing was a bit surprised to see Ding Yuejun; she knew Yiyi’s mother grew up in the countryside, raising Yiyi alone after the divorce. Originally, she thought Ding Yuejun would be a middle-aged woman marked by hardships, but today, she was surprised.

The woman in front of her, if someone didn’t say she has a daughter like Yiyi, no one would believe it.

And Ding Yuejun’s first impression of the graceful Song Xiaoqing was also good, ”Hello, Mrs. Song.”

”Don’t call me Mrs. or anything, feel free to call me Xiaoqing if you don’t mind.”

Ding Yuejun smiled and said, ”Okay, then I’ll call you Xiaoqing after this, you can also call me Yue Jun.”

”Yue Jun.”

Su Xiaoqing had a good impression of Ding Yuejun, and they soon started chatting happily.

At this moment, Song Chi came in, saw his wife chatting happily with another woman, guessed she must be Yiyi’s mother.

When Song Xiaoqing saw her husband arrive, she smiled at Ding Yuejun and Yiyi, ”Yue Jun, Yiyi, since Old Song is here, let’s discuss well.”

Regarding adopting Yiyi as their goddaughter, his wife had mentioned it to him yesterday, so Song Chi directly suggested, ”Since this is settled, let’s host a dinner at home this weekend, invite friends and family, let them meet Yiyi.”

”This... isn’t that too high-profile? As long as the two families agree, there’s no need to invite others, right?”

Ding Yuejun felt it was a bit too extravagant.

But Song Xiaoqing smiled and said, ”Yue Jun, we need to, let’s have a good meal together, let others know Old Song and I now have a daughter, preventing others from having thoughts.”
